Good morning to all.
Hey Michelle, good for you, rejoining WW. You and anyone else can pick my brain at anytime. If I can help in anyway, I certainly will. I do know that motivation is one thing that comes to all of us at one time or another, we have it big time, then we lose it. It really isn't the motivation it is just doing it after awhile that gets boring. Kinda like a marriage, you have the wedding (wonderful), then you have the honeymoon (great) then after a while we all settle down and most of the excitement slows down, but we keep on going;)
Candice, I'm still a WW leader, working for the company since 1993, boy that seems hard to believe:)
The pizza casserole is really good. I tried a recipe very similiar to that sometime ago and my family liked it.
We are still waiting for snow in Wisconsin, don't think any will come today, we are supposed to be up in the 40's today.
Have a great day!!!
Julie
Hi there.....yesterday I had posted twice but my computer kept freezing and before I could "copy"....it was gone, so now I'm going to "copy" what I've already typed and quickly post....then I'll come back and finish and so on and so on.
Ok...now that that's done. Had a good day OP yesterday, with the exception of a couple of beers. I DID count them and didn't go over. Just barely made it within my point range. That's the hard point for me....now that I'm a little lighter...I don't get as many points.....Oh Poo!
It's FREEZING here ..... it got down into the 30's last night and we had to double blanket all of the horses, cover alot of our flowers and plants and had the heat blasting. I have to say though....I'm SO GLAD WE HAVE A FIREPLACE! We've used it alot this winter....and winter has just begun here in Fla. Yeah....all those people up north who kept laughing at us for putting a fireplace in....HAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:p
I'm going to be busy, busy, busy this week since I'm going to have the entire house ready for sale next Monday. Last thing to be painted is the trim in the kitchen and then the carpets will be cleaned. I'm taking down the drapes and putting up the valances I made and they'll stay with the house. I want this place ready to "move into" as soon as they look at it. We still have the potential buyers but I'm not counting my eggs until I've gone to contract and not even then!!!! When I've closed and handed them the keys....then I'll do a dance. :D
That Pizza sounds delicious, I'll have to give it a try. I love buying the "dough" at the supermarket and making homemade. The kids like to get involved too but then...if they make it......THEY eat it. Heh-heh.
Here's wishing you all a good, good day.
Hugs,
Almost forgot......Bill and I finally gave in and let our 13 1/2 yr. old, Jackie....get ................A BELLY BUTTON RING AAAAAAHhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, she and I and her best friend and her mother all went together last week and it was pretty cool. Believe me, we checked alot of places out and this was very sterile and clean and very STRICT as per who and what we could have done. Jackie decided to go first since Vicki was in tears and chickened out......Jackie's teeth were chattering and as I was holding her hands....I got her to breathe in throug her nose and out through her mouth S..L..O...W...L....Y..... !!!!!! Well, by the time the guy told her to take a deep breather......woops! IT WAS IN!!!! LOL....she couldn't believe it. She said it hurt for only a second when he pushed it in and then it was over. Instead of having to wash it with the "clear soap" they tell you to use twice a day.....we got the spray she can use 2-3 times a day. Like I said, this was last week and it's healing very well and she cleans it ritually every morning, afternoon and night. She's not the type to do the nose, eyebrow ..... whatever some kids do that all my friends are warning me about. They keep telling me "oh sure, first it's the belly button...then it's the nose".........nope, sorry.... Jackie is pretty conservative when it comes to certain things and she's wanted this as long as I can remember. As a matter of fact, she dresses where hardly anything shows (except of course for her teeny weeny bikini) and she's actually got GOOD taste. So, I don't regret doing it with her ...... it was actually alot of fun and it's something we'll never forget. Yes....Vicki finally went but only because Jackie was so thrilled and couldn't belive it didn't hurt as much as they both anticipated. LOL.....awww, poor kid was trembling. But she did it and we gave her ample chances to back out but nooooo, they both did it together. Best buds since 3rd grade....going into 9th. It was a really cool night.
Well that's it.........and here's the picture of the "pink cat's eyes BAR" that she picked out.

Hi There,
Update on my SIL. They said that if the cancer was from the breast cancer and travelled then things are very bad because it could be anywhere in her body just waiting to pop out. If it is a seperate cancer, it is bad still but not as bad. They are operating on the 14th and then we will know more.
Hello to everyone, and hi julie, long time no see.
Later everyone
Bren
Hi Owls!!
PJ...I think I have missed something. Are you selling your house and moving to where your horse is??? I have gone back on the threads and I must have missed it...tell me more!! How did that come about??? If I had a tummy like Jackies's...heck I might even want a ring in it myself..LOL. Looks good on her!
Candice..LOVE your Snowmen ....and that casserole sounds really good. I think I would like to try it!
Weight Watcher ...That is great that you have been with WW for so long and that means that you lost your weight and have kept it off. Good for you!!! I am drinking my water and exercising this week and watching what I eat. Not counting points ...yet.
Well I can't remember much from the other thread..
Bren...Thanks for the update on SIL. I hope her news will be good.
The other night I was in such a hurry because I had to go buy something new to wear to work. I have worked for this company that owns five nursing homes for 23 years and now it seems he is going to sell it. The prospective owner was/did come for a walk through yesterday and I wanted to look my best:) . However I could not find anything that I liked...figures ...so I ended up wearing black slacks and a plaid jacket that I already had. It turns out that he just made a really quick walk through and will be back in 2 weeks..looks like a it's pretty much a "done deal". I will really miss the folks I used to work for....althought they say that things will stay the same in our center...Hope so!!! Guess I better shop now for the next vistit:dizzy:
I may be back later on but I am to surf the net to find some new info on my new BIG boss...and he is out there!! It seems he is a billionaire!!!

WOW! I guess everything from yesterday that was posted is gone! They had a server problem -- bummer!
I am sick! Well I am doing ok now - but I have a sinus infection! OUCH!! I am on antibiotics and feel alittle better - not 100%. And I am not sleeping too good - I hate that! I need my sleep! Winter stinks - plain and simple!
Bren - Sorry to hear about your SIL - I hope things are ok - I will keep her in my prayers.
Emmy - Glad to see you here girl!! I am sure being a mother is hard because you want to be there for the kids as much as you can - but you really SHOULD join WW and get out 1 time a week. Even if that is the only time - it will be worth it. You are important too :) Just my opinion!!
PJ - A belly button ring huh - imagine that! She is growing up!!
Candice - I love the pics of your snowmen! I love them too and have SO many (too many).
I have to run - work is calling!
Have a great weekend ladies!!

Hi everyone,
I couldn't get here yesterday, not sure what the problem was but at least I can today:)
The weather here in Wisconsin has been so wonderful, yesterday it was up around 50 and the sun was shining, gosh is it really Jan. Usually we have had a few snow storms and the kids are out using their snowmobiles....right now we can mow the grass:)
Who here goes to WW meetings? If you do, how did you like this weeks meeting? My members really go into it and some of their reasons for WANTING to lose weight were so funny. What are some of your reasons for wanting to lose?
Hope you all have a great day and that is is warm and sunny by you.

Good morning...where is everyone! Come out come out wherever you are!
I have had a successful week so far. I actually can't wait to weigh in on MOnday night!
Julie I didn't get to stay for last weeks meeting but I plan to stay this monday night! Do you know what the topic is going to be?
One reason I want to lose weight is to be healthy for my son. I was 40 when I had him and I want to be around to watch him grow up and I don't want him to be embarrassed by the size of his mom!
I need to cut this short...my boy is sick and a whiney hiney again today. He just wants to be held! I will check back in later!
Michelle
Hi girls - Just wanted to check the posts and see how Brenda's SIL is doing. Brenda, my prayers are with you and your family....I truly hope the surgery shows nothing bad. Keep up the faith!

Sorry.....running in and out the past day or so. Talk to you all later.

Hi Michelle,
This next weeks meeting is about the myths and truths about weight loss. I found it very interesting when I was going over my meeting guide. I really think that if presented in the right way, members will really learn alot.
Hope your little one is feeling better.
Julie;)
Hello :) A late nite post from me tonite. I am still online (ready for bed!) and wanted to say HI!!
Julie - My reasons for wanting to lose weight are:
(1) To be healthy -- I am pretty healthy (for the most part) and want to stay that way!
(2) So I can shop anywhere I want to - damnit! LOL
Those are the 2 main reasons really. I don't even want to be super thin - I am just aiming for healthy and at a reasonable weight. That would be fine!
Michelle - I hope Andrew is doing better today!
Well I should go to bed - here is a picture of Nicholas and Olivia from Christmas Day - I love it!!
Goodnite,

PJ......I missed it too .......Why are you putting your house up for sale?????????
Tara..cute picture, just plain adorable now you and Paul need to get married and have a bunch of cute kids!;)
Emmy...so what is the scoop on your new boss?????????
Michelle, I didn't know you were an "old" mom!:p Getting healthy for your son is a good reason, and I's sure he would not be embarrased by you anyway that you look!
Bren..thanks for checking in and keeping us posted. I just lost a cousin (45) to cancer and it was fast..I am still in shock. You have my prayers too.
Judy..You can cry but don't eat!LOL
Julie..I have a question for you but first of all I have never been to a meeting I did the WW at home thing and it worked for me. I had the phone support for a year but seldom used it. I'm kinda a homebody and didn't think I needed the public support and I didn't, I just needed to know how much to eat!!!!! Anyway...my question is.........I am eating at 23 points and have been maintaing for several months but when I seem to raise the points a few I immediatley go up on the scale. Does that mean I can never eat more than that ever!!!!!!!!!!!!(unless I earn exercise points) I know that...but 23 points is not much it seems, are there very many people eating at that... that are lifers?????????? Oh I wanted to be healthier and just feel better which I do most of the time! Looking better is just a nice benefit:smug:
My family Christmas Day at my Sisters:) I'm the short one!LOL
Good Morning - I'm putting my house up for sale because I want to move into the house that is on the property of the stables. As the stable manager, it will make my life much easier. It's much bigger than this one and I love the lay-out. It IS older than this one but has been updated throughout and is not done yet. The bathrooms are all done (last month) and now the kitchen appliances are being put in. The owners of the barn AND house are going to rent it to us. I want to make SURE I like it before I buy it. There are only 2 other houses on the road and is surrounded by a preserve. I just want to make sure the town doesn't go and change it's mind about the preserve and build some big store or building in a couple of years. You know how that goes...so I have some things to look into but by selling this house.......(we bought it for $178,000. and it's LOW appraisal is now $245,000. ) we'll be able to pay off everything we owe...including the cars and have a nice little "anty" to put into the bank. Then, if we decide we DO want to buy the house we're renting....we'll do so at the end of the year for tax purposes. When their 14 year old daughter goes off to college, they'll sell me the stables/barn also. THEN I'll be in the house I plan on dying in. :p
So that's the scoop.
Big and Little Bill are in Pa. visiting my FIL who has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks. First went in due to pneumonia, then had a heart attack while he was in there and they were unable to stabilize him until a day or so ago. So I kept telling Bill he NEEDS to go see his Dad. He finally took my advice and with Billy in tow....left on Friday. They'll be back late tomorrow night. My FIL is supposed to be coming home on Wed. so Bill and his brother set up a special hospital bed for him to make it easier on my MIL. Bill's brother lives next door so she's got help. Phew!!!!!!! now that THAT'S said and done....keep him in your prayers.
Ok....I need a hot cup of java and then I'm going to read my e-mail. Have a great day girls.
Hugs,
~Pamela~

Hi and good morning from sunny and still waiting for the big snow in Wisconsin:p
I should really let you all know some of my reasons for wanting to lose weight. First off all, people still thought I was pregnant when my daughter was 6 months old:mad: , so that I could walk into any store and buy regular people clothes, (why is it the fashion industry doesn't believe in short, overweight people?) and just so that I could have some confidence in myself. I was really lacking in that area.
Tara, love that picture that you have here. How the heck can I get a picture here? I tried before we got this new computer so now I have to wait for Kevin to download that scanner program into this computer. I would love to put Matthew's graduation picture here, along with his race car. Maybe even a picture of Meghan or me:lol:
Have a great day everyone. I will be watching the Packer game and waiting patiently for the first NASCAR race to happen in Feb.

Oh Candice,
Sorry I forgot to post to you about your question. Ok, so you are eating 23 points a day and still seem to be staying the same and when you add a few, you seem to go up. HMM, lets see here, usually members who add a few (within their range seem to lose) but if that isn't your case, I need to ask you about your exercise. About how much (time) do you spend daily on exercise? This doesn't mean that you will be eating at this point range for the rest of your life.
Have you started any firming and toning exercises that could possible be part of this too.
Have you ever gotten that Breaking Through book that WW has? Did it come with your at home materials? This is one piece of material I hand out to members when they seem to be sitting in one place and we (together) just can't figure out what the problem might be.
Another question...do you eat breakfast? Do you snack throughout the day and maybe not write everything down? Ok, enough from me. I will wait to see your reply
Julie
Julie - Hey....why wait for man to do a woman's job.;)
Just put the CD into your CD-Rom drive.....it will automatically boot up the program and prompt you regarding what to do next. All you'll be doing is clicking yes, yes, yes...........etc. Very easy to do. Then your scanner will be all ready. It will also show you how to connect it. THAT too is very easy. Just follow the directions exactly. If you still need help.....my IM name is resler41......so if you want to chat on that while installing OR if you'd rather I prompt you on the phone...I can call YOU if you'd like because I get free weekend calls or if you'd rather call me.....just email me for the number at pembers@adelphia.net
Hope this helps you out.
Well....Thursday night I couldn't wait to get in here to tell you all my good news..and this is a BIG deal for me.....A group of us at work have decided to do the Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" video right after at 5pm and we did it for the first time Thur. I was so sad that I couldn't get in here to tell you cuz you guys that know me KNOW that I am not that big into exercise. We are gonna do it mon- thur. One of the girls that I work with had the stomach stapling surgery in October. SHe has not had any complications but she sure can't eat anything to speak of and if she doesn't eat slowly it makes her sick. She has lost 40 pounds as of her last weigh in. She is "gung ho" now for exercise and is our great MOTIVATOR!!! This will be great for me since it is at work and I am already there...I have been known to work til 5:45 so this will be a good excuse to quit giving them extra time:p
Well I went to the grocery store yesterday and stcked up on things healthy and lowfat. Tonight I am making lowfat spaghetti and meatballs using ground beef with only 8% fat and lowfat bread crumbs and eggwhites. I need to go into my Master Cook and figure the points before it is done....I am also baking those lowfat high fiber Cinnamon Bran Muffins. These are 1.5 point each and will make a great breakfast!! So....it looks like I am "back on the wagon" with you guys!!!
Enough about me...
PJ.....so you will be moving to near your barn?!?! How wonderful for you!! I can't wait to see pictures..I love all your pictures!! I will be keeping your FIL in my prayers.
Candice.....I don't know much about my new boss/owner of our company except that he is reported to be a Billionaire!! The Administrator of our home said after their visit the other day that it was the first time he had shaken the hand of a billionaire.... I KNOW I haven't. I just hope he won't make too many changes. The previous owner has known me for 23 years and know that I give my job my all. I just hope that these guys don't set unrealistic expectations for census. But I am a believer that all things have a way of working out for the best....
Julie.....I also am an olderMom..had my last one when I was 40 so I too want to be around for a long long time. And... We spend most of our free time camping at a lake where I love to sunbathe, swim, boat etc. and this year I want to look better in my swimsuit...not perfect just betterLOL!!
JudyGal...How are ya doing today....Mine are still litlle but I am sure that I will cry too when it is time to send them off to college. Here is a thought to make you smile.. I was reading a thread the other day and it got a little "interesting" lots of rebuttal...but people were saying that it reminded them of how the site used to be....Made me think of the "BEET DIET" thread??? Remember that one??? I know you used to post there....I think it evolved into the BEET/GRAPE diet. I wish it were still in the archives but that was quite a few servers ago///:D
Bren...Where are you ??? Stop in and give us an update...
Michelle.....Love your reason for wanting to lose weight...very similar to mine!! I hadn't realized that you were 40 when you had your baby. I did remember that you had lost quite a bit of weight tho....
Tara...LOVE that pic of Nic and Olivia...they grow up way too fast I am here to tell ya.And you are right I SHOULD get myself to a meeting....Maybe I will!!
Gee...Well did I ramble on or WHAT?!?!?! Gotta go and get that supper ready....take care and I will see you soon!!!
emmy:smug:
...LOL Actually I think...I HOPE that it is just because the board seems to have been down most of the day...it seems like the only new posts just came in and it is approacing midnight...
Just wanted to let ya'll know that we have the State Inspectors at work so I will be working some crazy hours and that will be why I may not be here.....BUT I will be OP!!!!
Off to bed......night night

Emmy..good for you ......where is that recipe for the cinnamom muffins???? Can always use a good high fiber muffin recipe! Did you hear they upped the points for spaghetti????? Is it true???
PJ..will you still have a pool????? Sounds like a neat house, hpe you can sell yours!
Julie....I am trying to maintain not lose anymore and I was told I should up my points by 2 untill I hit a plateau, but when I up them I gain?????? I write everything down and have been op since May 2000, not once have I gone over (that I know of) I am paranoid about gaining again. My exercise right now is limited due to health but will be walking again soon I hope. I know I have lost muscle too in my upper body cause I had to quit my upper body workout due to a bad arm, so it is not muscle gain. Thanks for replying.........waiting to hear form you.....
Woke up with a stiff neck Sunday and was nausiated all day today from it, I wanted to eat more to settle my stomac but my points are gone!!!!!!!!!!

HI everyone,
Not sure what I did but I was typing to post and I think I lost it or maybe when I post this one you will see two of them.....we will have to see:)
Meghan did get her snowmobile out last night. We must have gotten 3 inches of snow but the trails are not open yet. We need another 3 inches of the stuff to make it really good.
Candice: HMMM, I'm stuck here. I do understand you feeling paranoid about gaining weight, I think that most of us do but maintenance means staying within 2-3 points of your range (up or down). If you can't do any physical activity right now then stay at the 23 points. Maybe, once you get moving again your energy in will equal energy out. I'm really happy that you are still journaling. I have been doing that since 1993:dizzy:
I'm 5 ft tall and eat around 28-29 points everyday to maintain my weight. I'm doing ok with physical activity so that is why I can maintain where I am.
Keep me updated though, I know that we will be able to figure something out here.
Keep smiling everyone, I'm off to Green Bay to do a new At Work WW meeting.
Julie:angel:
Good Morning
Candice - Yes...it has a bigger pool than the one we have now which means the kids will finally get the slide and diving board they want. It's also screened it just like the one we have now and to be honest with you.....the house is not nearly as nice as ours but much, much larger with alot of "neat" little things this one does not. I suppose they both have certain things that I like....if this house were bigger...I'd stay but I need more room and to be able to buy it at the end of the year and add a second story next year and a fireplace will make it the house I'll love. Besides, it's on the property of the stables which I'll be buying in a couple of years when their daughter goes to college....maybe sooner.
It's having new tile put in and carpeting in the bedrooms ONLY! I don't want carpet anywhere but there. The bathrooms (4, each bedroom has one) have all had new marble counter tops and faucets put in as well as brand new appliances. I absolutely HATE the kitchen cabinets which are grey. NOT my color. We'll have them refaced in due time. Anyway, that's the scoop and I'll be getting into the house today so I'll be able to take some "before" pictures. The woman who is living there now is a SLOB and it is disgusting. I don't even know if I WANT to post the pics. We'll see how they come out.
I'm doing well OP and have much to do today. Bill and Billy got in last night around midnight so I'm letting Billy sleep in. He didn't fall asleep until 1am due to his excitement while telling me about THE SNOW he and his "BEST BUD" played in every day....(from his mouth to your monitor) ....his cousin who is the same age. I'm so glad Bill got to see his Father but he said he looks awful. I've had a candle lit for days now......it's all in God's hands now.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs,
~Pamela~

Hello and happy Hump day, half-way through the work week!!
Michelle: WOW, you go girl, 7 lbs, I can certainly understand why you feel motivated! That is really great news.
My first WW meeting of the week was yesterday and the members really liked the myth/truth theme. It was a great way to have a discussion to all those old myths we have been told and have believed for so long.
I'm off to do 2 meetings today and looking forward to them also.
Keep smiling everyone and have a great day.

Hello :)
Just wanted to say hi. I just got back from having lunch with my favorite little man! My sister and Nicholas came into town to visit - we had a nice lunch and he came back here to meet some of my co-workers. He is so DARN CUTE! I could eat that kid up - really I could :D
How is everyone doing OP wise? I am doing pretty good - I got to WW tonite. Wish me luck!! I have definately been better at nite time snacking. I do have some "lapses" once in a while - but not as bad as it used to be. I am happy about that! Slowly but surely I will get this. I am sure of it!
I know I posted the other day - but then the server went down again and it was lost. Oh well!
Emmy - Share that recipe PLEASE!!
Candice - How is your neck? I hope its better today!
Michelle - Great job losing 7lbs!! YOU GO GIRL!! Keep up the good work :) I hope Andrew is feeling better.
Julie - I am going to WW tonite so I will see how that "myth/truth" theme goes.
Gotta run ladies - have a great day!

Well TGIF everyone. Where the heck does the time go?
Tara, how did you like the meeting this week? I had some really good meetings with it but my last meeting of the week...well I think they were just board so we talked about something else.
I just want to share this funny story with you. One of my members, who has lost more than 50 lbs. has a seven year old grandson. So the other night, she took the young boy to the fire dept. with the other boy scouts and the fire chief was showing the trucks and how the lights worked.....Then the chief asked if there were any questions. The chief said they could ask anything but how tall he was or how much he weighted (he was a big man from what I understand). This young man raised his hand and said -----YOU SHOULD BE THINKING OF JOINING WEIGHT WATCHERS. Out of the mouths of babes:o
Have a great day everyone.
Julie:angel:
Hi Julie - We've started a new thread 2 days ago. LOL.....just thought I'd let you know.
