New pages. Okay, let's do more writing this week. What do ya' say?

Rhonda, I just got e photos of your 2 grands. Adorable.

We are keeping "weightloss toxins" out of the condo. I bought a Magic Bullett and am going to make smoothies. Vickie, I'm going to try some of your recipes.

Looks like we'll be heading south mid-October. I am getting excited. I'd click my heels if I weren't still so tired.

Going back to Weight Watchers Thurs or Fri. Till then we're watching what we eat. (Can you read into that?) :dizzy:

Have a mahvalous Monday, everyone.

Hi All:

I'm just on for a minute. For some reason there was pizza everywhere I looked today. Who did that??!! I didn't order any of them. OK, OK, I ate two pieces :yikes:

But, the rest of the day I was very, very good. My real hurdle is getting the exercise. Walking is great, but not the :exercise: The pool at the community center is closed for repairs and annual maintenance and I'm trying to get to the classes at work. I'll make it yet. At least, I have the schedule out and on my desk!!!

Hope you're all fine. Sandra, take care and get a little rest.

Rhonda, I'm needing more exercise, too. We've been taking walks nightly here at the park. That's not enough.

Hi Everyone
Just checking in for a few.
How is everyone doing today. Hope everyone had a good day.
Oh I got some new tea. It is chai spiced tea. And it is decaf. Wonderful. It will be a good tea for the winter time. You know I was in a Dollar Tree store today. And they had Christmas stuff out already. Had wrapping paper and cards. And they were also putting out the Halloween things. I couldnt believe it.
Well went to WW tonight. I had a loss of 1 1/2 lbs. I was a little surprised. I know I had a couple of bad eating days. So was figuring on a gain. So I will have to be extra good this week. So it wont catch up with me next.
ONTARGET That is good you are getting back on track. And going to get back to your WW meeting. Boy the middle of Oct will be here before you know it. Now you get some rest.
TEJAS That is good that you were able to eat the pizza. But then be able to get back on track. I dont know that I could have or would have done that. I admire you for that. Good with the walking. I need to start exercising. But just havent made myself do it. But was thinking. If I can get the eating under control. But I guess that is a never ending battle. So maybe I should say. Trying to make more healthy lifestyle changes. Then start working on the exercise. One step at a time. Hope you find a new swim class soon.
Well I am going to get off here for now.
Just wanted to check in for a few.
Have a good night everyone.

Hey everyone,
I keep doing core and then getting bored and having a few days to a week or two of being really bad. I don't know quite why that happens, but i always feel best when i come back to core. So here i am, back on core. It's been one week, and since i started 7 days ago, i've lost 4 pounds. Any thoughts?

Mary, I'm not a very good one to be giving advice now. Sounds to me like you're just human. Hang in there. Maybe try some new core recipes. But like I said earlier, I'm not one to be giving advice. I'm floundering.

Coco, congratulations on losing weight. You must be making mostly good choices. I am happy for you.

Good Morning All,

Just popping in really quick to say that I made it :D :D :D. The ride Saturday turned out to be about 23 miles rather than the 25 they said but that was more than enough  Afterwards we went into town to a show truck (semi truck) show. It was fun but we must have walked at least 2 miles. Then Sunday we went up to the falls and walked around probably a couple more miles. So the exercise was good this weekend, can't say the same for the food though :o.

Sandra - it's good to have you back.

Coco - Congrats on the loss :cb:. You must be making better choices than you thought.

Rhonda - Good luck getting :exercise:

Mary - I've had that problem and found I wasn't getting in enough calories, I was filling up on fruits and veggies. So now I track pts. but try to eat mainly off the core list.

Well, I've gotta go to work. Have a great day all.

Hi there. It's good to see some activity here this AM. Curtis and I are slowly getting back into better eating habits. We'll be heading to WW either Thurs or Fri AM. When we step onto the scales, we'll have our new beginning. I'm planning to be on a WW Honeymoon again with enthusiasm and excitement for program.

Donna, that's certainly a lot of exercise. We're going this afternoon to get our bicycles out of storage and are going to mount them on the back of the travel trailer. They'll rest there till we get to Texas next month. We are taking the :ebike:. I'm going to get back "with it" when we get to TX. It's still in storage right now but will ride inside the TT to TX.

Rhonda, we have a lot of errands today, too. We had to come back "home" now for a break. We're heading back to town in a bit. Our cellphone doesn't work w ell at all here at the RV Park. We're in an almost dead zone out here. Oh, well.

Got to go. Catch you later.

Hi Everyone
Just thought I would get on here for a few.
How is everyone doing.
Hope everyone has had a great day.
ONTARGET I know you will get back on track. You have alot going on here lately with the move and all. And getting back into the meetings will help. The best thing I have done. And I know it can be a bother. Is write down what I am eating. Even though I know you arent suppose to on core. But it is really showing me what I am eating. Because I would think. I'm not eating much. But was eating more than I should have. And by keeping track of points. Again I know you arent suppose to with core. But it has helped me. Because I dont know when I am satisfied. So that has really helped too. Did you go for a bike ride today. Thinking of you.
TEJAS did you get all your errends ran. Hope so. Hope you had a good day.
TECHALUM Sounds as if you had a wonderful weekend. Did you keep warm. I bet all the exercise you go. That what you ate it will balance out. Hope you had a good day.
MARYJANELD WELCOME!! That is a good loss. Congrats on that. And it just takes time. It is a lifestyle change. And we all go through tough times with the eating.
TO EVERYONE ELSE I am thinking of you.
Hope everyone has a great evening.

Just saying  again....I'm really tired. I had to go to a fancy reception at work, and I did well. I drank only sparkling water and ate only a skewer of salmon and one of chicken. NO carbohydrates.

Tomorrow is another busy day, Thursday is a little better and Friday we are driving to Michigan for the weekend.

DH's nephew is a commercial pilot and we are going to a party of pilots and their families. They call it a "fly-in." They fly to a private landing strip and give one another rides in their planes and helicopters. It's a good time.

We got the windows and doors over the last two days. I had NO idea that the entire house would get disrupted! I am not happy about that and I have NO time to get the house straight. DH has done a lot but the place is a mess :yikes:

Oh well,
Rhonda

Hi
How is everyone doing today.
We had a beautiful fall day here today.
Done some running. Son had got a new headlight for his truck. But when they got home last night. They had gave him the wrong one. So we took it back for him today. And got the right one. And then we had a fog light burned out on our car. Got a bulb for that. Then when we got home. Hubby put both things in. So we got lights now.
TEJAS Good job on the reception choices. That is good. Looks like you are really focused with the eating. You will do just fine this weekend. Sounds like it will be fun. And to get to ride in the planes and helicopters. That will be neat. And you will get the house back into order.
ONTARGET How are you today. Hope you are doing ok. Did you get to go to WW today. I know you will get back on track. And I am right here with you all the way. Think of you.
P.A. Hope you get your computer fixed soon. Did you make the muffins. Those sound good. Its that time of year for pumpkin.

aaarrrgghhhhh...that's me, checking in!

wow, the last few days have been a whirlwind.

Except for not exercising, I'm doing OK...walking a lot and controlling the eating. Tonight we met up with some long-time friends of mine who have moved to BC and I've not seen them in almost a year. So, we ate a lot, but it was mostly meat and salad for me. I did eat a small slice of a cake that they ordered for us since they didn't get to our wedding. It was so sweet of them to do that so I wouldn't say "no" to the cake at all...but, it's a great NSV that I gave myself the smallest, smallest piece.

Coco....that's a lot of messing with cars...I hope it all worked out OK...Patti, good to hear from you...and Sandra, I'll email you or phone you with our schedule.

Good Morning All,

Popping in really quick before I head out to work.

I was down .4 @ ww yesterday. I'm not excited but I'll take it. My mom came in to go shopping and we walked a couple of miles first. It was nice, although my foot is killing me now. I need to take it easy. I'm riding into work today since that doesn't seem to bother it, and we'll see where I go from here. This weekend will be busy. Saturday my sister and I are going to an amusement park, we've been meaning to go all summer but haven't made it. Sat is also my anniversary so DH and I are going out on Sunday. Should be fun.

Rhonda - yea on taking the smallest piece. You go. Have fun on my side of the border this weekend. We're actually planning on going over to Canada on Sunday.

Coco - Sometimes running around can make you more tired than exercise. Hope you're settled now.

Sandra - :club: GO TO WW, and good luck when you get there. I really like the new avatar.

Patti - hope the computer gets fixed soon. It's great having a live in IT guy.

Well, should go grab breakfast and pack lunch. Have a great day everyone.

Hope everyone is ok.
My eationg today has been one of my worst days in a good while. I am really off track today. So have to get back at it. So hope tomorrow is a better eating day.
TECHALUM Good with the loss. But just think. Those little losses will add up. I know. If you are like me. You want the pounds off now. And it dont work that way. Sure wish it did though. Good job on riding your bike. hope the foot is better. Happy Anniversary early. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. That is wonderful. Not sure what we will do this weekend. Have a good night.
ONTARGET Like the new avatar. Will be thinking of you tomorrow when you go back to WW. Just act like you are a new member. Reread your WW books. Things like that. Here I am giving you advice. And I had a really bad day. Guess I better take my own advice.
TEJAS Good job on taking just a little piece of cake. Dont know that I could do that. Just remember it wasnt about the food. But about being with your friends.

We had something come up today and have to tend to some business tomorrow. Looks like we're buying a dualie(sp?) truck. Tonight we're discussing the pros and cons and funds. Big decision.

Donna, did you cook a core-friendly dinner? I am proud of you for being focused.

Coco, we all have those "off" days. Just dust yourself and get back on track.

Good Morning All,

Well, I did make dinner instead of ordering pizza. It wasn't truly core because we had white instead of brown rice. It was healthier than pizza though. How do you guys handle that brown rice takes 45 mins to cook. I actually prefer the brown, but hate the cooking time.

Sandra - Good luck getting back on track. Enjoy truck shopping, I assume it's to haul the Condo?

Coco - Hope you have a better day today.

Patti - How's it going? Where are you?

Rhonda - You're probably gone and headed this way, but hope you have a good weekend.

Hey Everyone
Just thought I would get on here and see what is going on.
Not much happening here.
TECHALUM That is good you fixed supper instead of ordering pizza. For the rice I am not sure. I have used the brown rice in the boil in the bag. Dont know for sure if it is core or not. And then also. Another lady from WW. Said she had got some kind of steamer. And she uses it in the microwave. Said it cooks quick. So dont know. Hope you had a good day.
TEJAS Have a great time this weekend. Will be waiting on how it went.
ONTARGET. My son wants a dodge dualie. It sure is a big decision about buying a car anymore. We looked a used one the other day. It was a 2007. And they had us paying on it for six years. And it was a little more than we could afford. So needless to say. It is still on the lot. Sorry you didnt get to go to your WW meeting. So hope everything worked out today for you.
Well eating was better today. Think I found out what is going on though. TOM!! Yeap. I havent felt real good today because of it. the cramps are awful. oh well enough about that.
Anyone have any big plans for the weekend. We dont. Probably just do some stuff around here. Need to start taking in my flower pots. And things like that. Think I am going to dump all the dirt that is in them out. And next year put some new dirt in them. And then there is a couple that I am going to throw away. And need to wash clothes. So that will prbobaly be it.
Well I am going to get off here for now.

Good Morning Everyone,

I can't believe I am awake and up before 8 am . Not a morning person at all, luckily neither is dh so on vacations we don't usually get up early. Did well on program yesterday. Today is probably going to be another story. My sister and I are going to an amusement park. I'll eat breakfast at home but lunch will probably be on the road and dinner at the park. I'm usually not too bad with the snacks and stuff there. At least the walking should be no problem. Tomorrow DH and I are going to Canada wine tasting. Although Thurs the us & can dollar were valued the same for the first time since '76, what's up with that? Probably won't be a core day there either :o. We're celebrating our anniversary, which is really today. So I guess I have a pretty busy weekend planned. Then Monday is house cleaning time, the dogs are shedding and the house is pretty scary looking.

Sandra - Hope you had a chance to make it to ww this morning. If not don't take this as an opportunity to stall for another week. You know the plan you and Curtis can have a fresh start w/o a meeting.

Coco - Have fun doing household chores. It's always nice to find out an excuse for our eating off plan.

Rhonda is out of town and Patti is off-line w/computer troubles. So I guess that's it for today.

Have a great day everyone.

If I miss updating one I can look at another to update it. Made sense to me anyways.haha
Donna I only make brown rice here or brown basmati rice,,I dont find it takes the 45 mins it says it should on the package. I find its more like 25-30? You could make a batch of it and then freeze the leftovers..I do.
sandra are you all moved in now and settled??
Coco I use *fresh* dirt every year...if you use the old dirt chances are the flowers from the previous year have used up any good nutrients that was in the dirt. (thats what i was told anyways.) I put my old dirt in my compost pile and recycle it.

Hi Everyone
Just checking in. See what everyone is up too.
ONTARGET Told my son you got a dualie. Wants to know what kind. Dodge, Chevy, Ford. He likes the Dodge. We looked at some campers today. Son just bought one in June. Boy they sure had some nice ones. Found a couple that you could live in all the time. Pretty fancy ones. It is fun to look. But he went to the camper place to get some stuff to winterize his camper. But they didnt have the stuff in. So we are going to check at WalMart. They do have some RV things. And they are cheaper. Hope you had a good day.
P.A. Hope you get your computer fixed soon. I know how it is when they dont work right. Hope you have a good trip.
TECHALUM Happy Anniversary. Hope you had a good day. How many years. How was the amusement park. Did you have a good time. Dumb question what is VFT. Hope you had a wonderful day.
Well I didnt get the flower pots done today. But did get most of the clothes washed. Still have a couple of loads. But son wanted to run around. So we did. Went to the camper place. Then went to eat. We ate at Cheddars. Got to find info for their food. So I can try and see how bad I was. Then we went to the cematary. Went to see my Unlce's headstone. And then my grandma is buried there also. And then we stopped by a friends place that I hadnt seen in a good while. We had a nice visit. Then came home.
So that has been my day.

Hi there. I didn't go to WW this AM. Donna, thank you for the advice. I will get up in the AM with op on my mind. I'll make it a priority. It's either that or go shopping for larger jeans. Mine almost cut me in two today.

Patti, we're in the condo but are still in Montana downsizing stuff we had put into a storage bldg when we left the house. Looks like we'll be heading to TX in about 10 days or so. We won't be settled in for quite awhile yet. After we get to TX, we'll be at the RV Ranch for at least a month while we get septic, well, driveway, etc..... in at my son's. Talk about stress!

Donna, sometimes I buy the brown rice that comes in a small packet. I am not sure it's totally Core but it's good. It's the type you nuke for 90 seconds. You might give it a try if you'd like. My instant rice isn't too good either. Bummer.

Coco, how's your day? Sounds like you and I are both having the same struggles. We need to get that "Honeymoon Feeling" back. I think one of my problems (along with the move) is that weightloss hasn't been important to me lately. I need to make it a priority again.

I have gone over to the 3FC WW thread and am going to post there as well as here. Hopefully, pulling out all the help I can get, will help me put the right things into my mouth and move my old body more.

Have a good evening, everyone.

I'm doing Flex now but am eating mostly Core foods. I have to keep points right now to whip myself back into shape.

So? How is everyone doing? I know Rhonda's away on a trip--probably soaring high above enjoying her birthday.

Hi Everyone
Well again not much happening here today.
Went to Sunday School.
Went out and ate. Had a big salad.
Then came home. The guys took a nap. I finished reading a book I had started a while ago.
Then we went to hubbys brother's. They had a wild weekend. 4 dogs in their house. They have 2. And then their son has two. The one is just a puppy. They have had him about 3 weeks. He is a 13 week old Great Dane. He is so cute though. And clumpsy.
Then we went to a friends house to visit also. So that was nice. Good to get out and visit. Seems like we dont do that enough anymore.
ONTARGET That is what I am doing. Flex. But eating mostly Core foods. And writing it down. Seems to help me. But I just dont know when to stop eating. This way it helps. When I get to my daily points. Know that that is it for the day. So I need to make good choices. Glad you are getting back on track. So not sure how the scales will be for me tomorrow night. I have really had a struggle this week.
P.A. Glad you got your walk in. That is nice. I know I need to start getting some exercise in. I like to walk. But I have to drive somewhere to find a safe place to walk. The road where I live is too dangerous to walk on. We do have a field behind our house. But it is kinda grown up. Hard to walk in it. It dont belong to us. So we cant do anything with it.
TEJAS how was your weekend. Did you get to fly in anything.
TECHALUM how was your day yesterday. Did you have a happy anniversary. Hope you had a great day.
Well I am going to get off here for now.

Hi All:

We're back! Had a great time. Both of us ate way too much, but Monday is another day.

DH's nephew bought a birthday cake for me. It was pre-sliced. I looked at the nutritional analysis: 710 Calories a slice!!!! Do you even believe that is possible!!?? I was floored. I asked him if he was trying to kill us all. I ate half a slice. I have now tasted chocolate heaven. Never again

Anyway, it was a great trip, and I'm going to do the laundry and go to bed! I'll catch up tomorrow.

Hi All,

Well, I'm kind of glad that the weekend is over. Although there's only 12 more days until we leave on vacation  I really hope I can make my goal to be below 220. I did really well on Saturday, my sister and I stopped @ Applebee's on the way to Cedar Point, and I ordered off the ww menu. Then I had brought snacks so I didn't eat junk at the park. We did have a garden pizza for dinner and it was really good, but I ordered it with the ranch dressing on the side (they used it for sauce) and then didn't eat any :D. Now yesterday on the other hand not so good. Keith and I went wine touring in Canada, and then out to dinner at a Tapas place we like. It was fun but I drank way too much, both tasting and at the restaurant. I hadn't used my flex points for the week though (I'm also doing flex and trying to eat mostly core foods) so I used them yesterday.

Rhonda - How was your b-day? Good job on only eating 1/2 a slice of cake. I thought of you when I heard of a small plane crash just south of here. Turned out to be an ultra-light when I heard the whole story.

Sandra - Next week must be the week for the senior RVer's to head south. My in-laws are leaving then too.

Coco - Sounds like you had a busy fun weekend with your son and visiting friends.

Patti - Brown rice always takes me at least 45 mins. I may have to try the big batch freeze method, I do that with the whole wheat kernels and it works great. Good for you on being in better shape so you walk farther :congrat: It shows how far you've come.

Frouf - if you're still lurking, have fun on your cruise. It's coming up next week isn't it?

Well, if I'm going to get anything done today, I need to get my butt in gear. Have a great night everyone.

- Donna

Donna, congratulations on making healthy choices Saturday. So you enjoyed the wine tasting? I think that's great. I'm glad you and Keith had a great anniversary treat.
