Morning All,
Thanks for all your support and comments yesterday. I talked to my mil yesterday evening and she asked me what was wrong. She was not happy with her son. She told me to tell him that Hey buddy you married me and not your buddies. You need to spend time with me. So I am hoping to have a chat with him after school this afternoon. Looking forward to another day with my kids. Here is a fun for you all. One of my students was 3 hours late to school yesterday because of a doctor's appointment. Well he was there for about an hour and asked me if we were getting out of school early. Because he really needed a break. Then he tells me that he needs to take a vacation day, so he won't be in school on Thursday. I was like kiddo we just started back to school. He is like I know but I am tired already. I said tired after a day and a half of school. Boy what are you going to be like when we have full weeks of school. He is like I don't know guess I will have to take one day a week off. He said it with such a straight face. We were all laughing. Then he pulls me aside and told me that he had another doctor's appointment today. So I told him that was alright. But I just thought that was so funny about I need a vacation day.
Hanna hope Sean has a good day at school. Glad that he is feeling better! Sorry to hear that you were waiting on your dh last night and Sean didn't get to see him. Hope you get to have a wonderful day out of the house today!
Slim that is great news about your court appearance yesterday. See you worried for nothing. So how is your dd taking the news of not seeing her df anymore?
Lexy, hope you got to bed and got rested up for today. Sounds like you might be your dh's biggest screaming fan!
Lisa, sorry to hear that you had a crappy day too! Hope today goes better for you.
Joan glad you had an enjoyable evening. Sounds like you really enjoy your new neighborhood. Keep up the walking!
Hi to Shelia, ROO, Karen, Laurie, GG and everyone else. Have to go brush my teeth and out the door I go to work. Chat with you all later. Have a great Thursday!

I think your body is telling you something when you fall asleep while peeing....so i went back to bed
Slim - woohoo..congrats. I figured it work out. Good for you...looserville is out of there.
Hannah - sorry dh didnt make it home in time.

John, thanks for the suggestion. This ink is what is inside ink markers that is only supposed to explode if you steel it. In other words "permanent".
Joan, no I happened to be wearing light tan pants. I think I may ask for them to reimburse me or give me a new pair. I don't know, I only paid $3 for them.
Slim, congrats on the win!!!

KAR ~ good luck with the talk. I like Big John's suggestion a whole lot better... "rollin pin upside the head."
Sheila ~ I love that smell too. Woke up the this morning and felt fall in the air... everyone is anxious for autumn this time of year.
GG ~ beer = whole grain.... sounds reasonable. Have a good day.
Christina ~ good to see you again. The pictures are great ~ you have two beautiful boys! BTW ... anything ever come of the other job that you wanted so badly?
Lisa ~ $3.00 for a pair of pants? How did you accomplish that? Sounds too good to be true.
Happy Thursday all ~ Joan

Morning all!
Hope everyone is doing well. Same old same old here. Just trying to figure out how a short week feels so long!
GG- I love beer. I am going to have a few tonight at the dh's gig. I'll just have to watch the calories. I like the whole grain theory though!
Kar- Your student story made me laugh. It is amazing how many kids feel that way. My son can't wait until he is out of school so he can quit working so hard. I keep telling him he is in for one heck of a surprise!
I love Fall! We are finally cooling down out here and I am loving it! Can't wait til my Mom gets here. We are going up to the mountians to camp and hike. We don't get the colorful leaves out here like we did in PA, but the aspens are very pretty.
Well, have a good one guys!

Hi guys!
Shoot me now. Yesterday was Matt's nine year old sons second day at the sitters after school and he already wore out his welcome there. I had told him that he had to be on his best behavior because I can't take a chance at Leslie not being able to go there since she goes the whole day. Well he was apparently much too rough with the other kids ( there are none his age, they are all 4 and under) and at one point was walking around with Leslie on his shoulders. I think my head started spinning when my sitter told me. She made him put her down and Douglas told her that he does it all the time at home. He is not even allowed to lift her up and carry her, much less sport her around on his shoulders. I am not sure what was up with him, but my sitter can't afford for one of the other kids to get hurt. Leslie does fabulous there, so I told Matt he needs to figure out what to do with Douglas after school. I am so frusterated. Grrr.
Anyway, I think Ker asked but I could be wrong, Matt is an independant sales representative for Nextel and Sprint, and we do a booth at the fair every year. It's a long week and I am thankful I don't deal with it each day.

Angie ~ maybe DS could bring a Gameboy to play with or he could do something on the computer during that time? He's probably bored with only little kids around.
Laurie ~ I forgot to congratulate you on your new home gym ~ sounds like some seriously cool stuff. When DH and I first got married we set up a great gym in one of the spare bedrooms and used it a ton... for about six months. Try and mix things up a bit and get some exercise outside as much as possible as you'll burn out in no time flat.
Michelle ~ DH is still going to GA? Keep saying your prayers... Big Hug from all of us...

Joan -
We had talked about that - he was supposed to do what he could of his homework and then read if he got bored. Now I feel like sending him over there with his gameboy is rewarding his bad behavior. I understand it was probably boring, but that was no excuse to have to be repeatedly talked to about doing things he knows better than to do. He has counseling tonight, we will see if they have any suggestions. Thanks for the advice.

I found the three dollar pants on the clearance racks at the store I work at. I get 20% off of everying I buy so it really is beneficial for me to shop at my store. (Elder-Beermans ~ part of the Bon Ton Group) (Herzberg, Parisian, and others)
I had a thought in bed this morning that I could change the pants into shorts or capris, however the ink is too high up the pant leg. :( Either that or maybe die it back - if the fabric can take it. They are normally washed in the delicate cycle.

Hey there, just checking in with everone....I tried to read through the posts but I just dont have time to read them all before one of my kids explodes.
Perhaps tomorrow I will be able to catch up. Nothing new here. I lost about 2.5 pounds in my first week.....I feel pretty good about it since I am nursing and I have to be very careful not to go too low with my calories. John...I noticed the big weight loss, was it last week. Anyhow I wanted to say congrats that is awesome.
Take care everyone and have a good evening.

:)Thanks for all the congrats GG, Joan, Hannah, Lisa, Kerry, and John!
What a nice day out today! I actually got a tiny bit chilly out last night which was nice!
As far as my angel goes, I don't want her to NEVER see her dad. I just want him to be a good one and be doing the right thing to see her, that's all. And that isn't happening right now. When he "get's it together" things can be dofferent.....
She's only 4 1/2 so she doesn't really ask alot of questions and I never let her know anything derogitory about him. I just say he is busy working and keep her occupied.... Besides she looks to my honey when she is looking for "fatherly attention" and he is so amazing with her it's unbelievable! Last night she wanted to sing and dance and the two of us were her audience so he got the living room all ready for her show and cranked the stereo on for her and we sat there and just laughed and watched her rock out to Gwen Stefani! Hilarious! :dancer:
ANGIE
I don't know if your son would feel too old for this but maybe make up some sort of star chart that he has to keep in his backpack and if he is good/finishes homework then the daycare lady can mark the box or put a sticker.... then set a goal that at the end of the week he has to have so many marks. Reward him if he pulls it off and if not take away the gameboy or something else he likes for a few days? :^:
MICHELLE
Try not to be sad about dh... I know it's tough but try to focus on the positive things about the new adventure!
KERRY
Good luck with the chat this afternoon! It'll be ok! Do you guys have alot of things that you both like to do? Maybe he would be better about hangin' out if you guys were doing something he thought was his idea? Use psychology on him! HA!

hey everyone, I have yet ANOTHER busy day - seems like it's been like that nonstop for the last week. Last week I had that clerical test for a job I applied for at a local medical clinic - so I passed and today is my actual interview:goodvibes I really hope I get this - I have been unemployed for the last 5 months and it is getting really hard on my boyfriend supporting the 3 of us on his own:(
After that I have to race home, change, make sure DD is ready and then its off to an Angels baseball game we go:carrot::carrot:
So I guess Im off to get my exercise on:D I have to do it now, or I wont have time to get it in today, and that is just not acceptable - i will stop by later if I have a second to breath ;)

Good luck with the interview! You will get the job! I used to work in the medical field before I got into real estate..... being comfy in scrubs every day was awesome!
JOHN
You crack me up!
But Lisa before you rip them up in the heat of passion try to dye them! Get some black RIT dye at the store and soak them in a small load with cold cold water and some salt in there too (helps the color set).
Thats what I do when I have some black items that are faded and need to be freshened up.
Michelle - be tuff! My sisters hubby is in the military and she uses his trips in the most positive ways she can.... she finds things to keep her busy and she has actually stuck with alot of cool hobbies/crafts etc!

I am doing well on the diet front today. These past 2 days have been tough for me personally and I have not had much of an appetite. My soon to be adopted little girl is not doing so well. She may have Reactive Attachment Disorder. This may allow her never to bond with us. DH and I do not know if we can raise her if we can not have a reciprocal parent / child relationship. We are going in for a psych exam in 2 weeks and will get her into early intervention but have halted the adoption until we have a diagnosis. I am really heartbroken and feeling really lost. I am hoping therapy will help get her on track. Her wonderful, wonderful caregiver (who works with only foster and adopt babies and children) doesnt think that she can watch her anymore because of her issues. Taking too much out of her and she is losing her patience. I think I can talk her into sticking it out with me through the diagnosis and decision. I would love her input. She has seen in all and been working with kids in the system for 20 yrs.
I have been doing my workout though and am finding its a great way to just work out issues. Sitting on my bike pedaling, mad at the world. My workout therapy.
Tonight I have my tasting and have to put on a happy face. Oh joy!
Well, enough about that. Ill get through this. I have a loving DH and a wonderful family. A lot to be grateful for. Just wishing this would go away.

Whooohooo - i just finished my exercise! I feel great - gonna go shower and get all purdy (but not too purdy) for my interview. Im sooo excited - I love interviews!
Slim - I really do hope I get it - I'm not sure the department I would work in wears scrubs - but that would be great!! I applied for Registration or Medical Records department. I wore scrubs when I worked for a vetrinarian years ago, and i loved it.
To everyone else - I read all the post but dont have time to respond - but I hope you all have a really great day - "talk" to everyone later!!

laurie, I wish the best for your adoptive daughter, how old is she again?
christina, will you get to see dh at all in those 9 months? My little bro has been in boot camp for the marines for 8 months now. Poor thing keeps injuring himself. He may go on record as the longest boot camper ever, lol. He will then go to NC, then Cali for 6 months.
Christina, your boys are both very handsome. I love the "behind" photos. I have one on my myspace of my kids. It is one of my favorites of them!
Joan, I am so proud of my son. He has been doing so well. He is starting to do his homework more independently. He did have a meltdown last week when we went to walmart to get his glasses fixed. He didn't want to get out of the car, he screamed in the walmart parking lot. He still isn't falling alseep at night and I don't know if he would take the Melatonin because he wont take pills. How is your son doing? Sounds like such a nice neighborhood, reminds me of the one we lived in.
Hannah, kids are dealing pretty well considering. DH still hasn't said anything about coming home. When I tried asking, he said I was "biting his head off" He'll be lucky I don't bite something else. He has our home phone to also ring to his cell phone and he answers when my friends call. Which I can't figure. Anyways, my friend asked him when he was coming home. She said he got really angry and said when he decides to. I'm not going to talk to him for a while as I find it upsetting.
Everyone have a great evening. My son has an open house at school tonite, then I'm gonna take them out to dinner. Talk at ya later.

Christina love the pics of your sons. They are very handsome young boys. Glad things have been going good for your family.
John love your comments to Lisa. Hope your day is going well at work?
GG hope you made it through work without falling asleep.
Alicia have a great evening out with your kids. Sorry things are crappy at home with dh being gone.
Laurie enjoy your tasting tonight. Hope things work out with the baby so you can adopt her. I know how attached you and your dh have gotten to her.
Hanna hope you enjoyed your day at the new gym.
Hi to everyone else. I think I am going to go and try taking a short nap before we leave for dinner. Talk to you all later.
Have a great evening!

GG; Hang in there!
Lauren: Where did you say Mo was hiding out at. what is the deal with that. I sure miss the heck out of her.
Laurie: How old is your soon to be DD again? I have never heard of that but it sounds heart breaking. I can not imagine how you are feeling. I guess just go with your gut feeling sometimes the best doctors in the world are wrong. we are here for you.......
Well now that I am all feeling sentimental and all here we go, you girls know how I get every now and then. We did family couseling tonight DH goes next time. The kids agreed he could go etc. I flat told the counselor who I have known and so has DH for years, I said "I have spent 18 years of my life which is half of my life hearing all bad, if you let him come in and contiue to say bad to me I am done................ He told me that would not happen at all. I believe him. DH has done alot better than before but we still have never discussed his father passing away nor has he discussed it with the kids, and the fact that he did not defend me and the kids i don't know you know that saying you can forgive but you will never forget, well that is kind of where I am at but anyway.
On a brighter note: My son has a girl friend. She is very nice. Her personality is awesome, that is what makes her pretty not that she is bad looking don't get me wrong but she has a great personality.
Anyway I had the talk with him, he is like mom we are saving ourselves for marriage. I am like great that is wonderful but if you get to the point you can't please Please use protection. I don't want to be a grandma right now and it also helps with the spread of disease, etc. He is like Mom you are well the whole time he is laughing but I know he is listening because he was a little red. I just told him when it gets to the heavy petting time you might think otherwise he is like what twice so I said it plain "Rubbing it" He is like Oh my heck mom ok I got it. He laughed he goes you know I already knew this but thanks mom for being straight with me and taking time for me. Made me feel pretty darn good. On that note, I am going to get to bed.

Ok that was funny Lauren! And even funnier with the "what passion?" from Lisa! Have a few glasses of wine and there is always the possibilty :D
Sheila. great job on the chat with your boy! I dread that day because even though it seems so far away, I know it's not! My girl already has "boyfriends" at 4 1/2.....ughghhghghghg Time for bars on her window in a few years!! HAHA! :dizzy:
Laurie, hang in there..... Everything works itself out as "blah" as that sounds, it does....... You were meant to be in the lil one's life for whatever amount of time it is and there is a reason for it  Be strong and try your best to keep positive thoughts!
GG Did ya make it our for a walk this evening?
Goodnight everyone! TGIF tomorrow... Hope y'all have a great Friday!
