After further review (from all of your choices) I was thinking of changing...just thinking...for now...

Jim Croce

Norah Jones

Eva Cassidy...could listen all night to her...Norah too...well, just for a little while on date night and candles and....uhmm...back to music

Michael Buble...if he had more music

CHRISTINA Angie, my brother and I were just talking about Martina last night...I love her...they call her McYELLER McBride!

I was also thinking about changing to THE BEATLES...but do you think their music will last?.....;)

09-06-2007, 09:17 PM
Hey Everyone,

I like a LOT more male artists than female, but I forgot ENYA - I know she's a has-been but I LOVE her music!

09-06-2007, 10:07 PM
Oh LORI don't tell Angie that Enya is a has been...she listens to her all the time...we have everything she ever made I think.

09-06-2007, 11:03 PM
This one is a toughy:dizzy:

Male: Eric Clapton

Female: Martina Mcbride

Group: I might have to think about this one for awhile! I'm just coming up blank for most favorite:)

09-06-2007, 11:14 PM
Male: Tom Waits
Female: Sandy Denny
Group: X? The Kinks? Ramones? That's just too hard.

And BlueToBlue, T-Bone def makes my short list!

oh fun.

Male: Casey Neill (since he's a Portland local I'd be shocked if anyone knew who he was but he is amazing)

Female: Regina Spektor

Group: this one is way too hard. I guess Dogs Eye View (which is really just Peter Stewart but I can't pick two male singers)

09-07-2007, 12:54 AM
ONE ~ Male singer: Neil Diamond

ONE ~ Female singer: I don't have any that I like enough to listen to for the rest of my life!

ONE ~ Group: Bee Gees

09-07-2007, 01:02 AM
AWESOME GARY! Tell Angie I love her taste in music. ENYA is just so etheral and mystical and you can just dream and be taken away by her.......well, Angie would understand!!

09-07-2007, 03:58 PM
Yeppers Gary...I agree. Martina has one powerful voice for such a little person. I was trying to think of people Iwould never tire of listening to, lol...way too many I think.

Diana the Hun
09-10-2007, 08:17 AM
What a fun (but impossible) question! I would have to say:
Mariah Carey
Billy Joel perhaps?
And Hall and Oates for sure!

09-10-2007, 10:03 AM
All time would be

Ray Charles

Patsy Cline

Eagles or Alabama

09-10-2007, 10:10 AM
Billy Joel

Carrie Underwood (Guess I'm really showing my age with this one, but for the past few years I cannot get enough, I love everything she sings)

09-10-2007, 01:15 PM
Todd Agnew - his lyrics ring so true to me...they keep me honest and they keep me thinking!

Barbara Streisand - love her voice - love singing along with her - and love that she has SO MUCH out there that it wouldn't get old TOO quickly

U2 - This was a tough one. Third Day is my second choice but if I really can only listen to one...for the rest of my days...I think Bono would have to win. I adore, truly adore, the man.

09-10-2007, 01:21 PM
I have AGONIZED about this, and cannot CHOOSE!!! (If you saw my collection you would know why!)

09-10-2007, 03:22 PM
ONE ~ Male Singer- Barry White

ONE ~ Stevie Nicks or Ann Wilson (hard to pick, as I love both!)

This was really hard but here goes

Male Singer-Jim Croce

Female Singer-Alison Krauss

Group- Led Zeppelin

^^ hey, do you know that Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have a new CD out Oct. 23rd called "Raising Sand"? They harmonize well together. You can listen to some snippets on :) I'm so: :carrot: It's also produced by T-Bone Burnett! :cp:

OK, here are my choices...

Male Singer-
Robert Plant (yeah, baby!)

Female Singer-
Billie Holiday or Fiona Apple

Led Zeppelin (yeah, it's all about Robert for me) :D Although, I am going to join the lottery for a ticket for the Nov. 26 concert for Ahmet Ertegen...

This IS hard, mostly because when I go through my iPod I'm reminded that I have some groups that are clearly my all-time favorites based on the fact that I have so much of their stuff. But I'm also consistently skipping through their songs because I think I might finally be getting sick of them. But I will still use that as the basis of my response.

Female Singer: Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant

Male Singer: Toad the Wet Sprocket (I'm cheating. I don't have a favorite male "singer" but I like a lot of groups with male lead singers.)
My dogs are named Toad and Sprocket. The band is now defunct, but their lyrics are so rich and their melodies so beautiful.

Group: Indigo Girls.

09-14-2007, 12:53 PM
Female: Christina Aguilera
Male: Chris Daughtry
Group: Linkin Park
