Question Anybody travel often?

Hello All!! Ok, so I started a new job this past week in which I will be traveling every other week for several months. It's only a 4-5 day a week stay in a hotel. So, last week, I found it VERY hard to stay on plan. My stomach felt miserable and I was so bloated!!

Does anybody else travel for work and how do you stay on plan? Any suggestions are welcomed!!

Thanks in advance!!

I don't travel for my job, but can see where this would be problematic...but it's doable! If you do lites (the bars), make sure you pack them and have them in your purse during the day. Most restaurants nowadays have a lot of healthy choices and you need to be the annoying customer that tells the waiter exactly how you want your food prepared. Even if something is not on the menu, ask if it's available...it usually is. When I travel (rarely, but I do), I try to stick with salads at lunch and fish or lean protein at dinner. And I always work out in the hotel gym. I also avoid all the pre-dinner cocktail hours if I can. You can do it.

Can you stay at residence inns, like La Quinta? They have kitchenettes. You could swing by a grocery store on day 1 and get fruit and veggies, ingredients for simple recipes. Baby carrots and some peanut butter or hummus makes a great snack. As for restaurant eating, stick with proteins. They tend to serve crap carbs and overcook vegetables.
