Default TOM Water gain...when?

Does your water weight gain form tom happen BEFORE your period or AFTER your period, or DURING? I haven't payed any attention to mine until now and I don't know what to expect....................

Mine is generally before or during. I don't usually gain a great deal. I'll usually fluxuate 1-2 lbs.. but after I drop drop 2-3.

It'd be good to weigh to know what to expect-- but I don't really consider my weight at TOM towards my weight loss. I expect to fluctuate and that helps me not be frustrated.

I usually gain 1 -2 lbs the day before and stay up until day 2 or 3 into it. I've been charting it for several months now and seems to be consistent.

I think it varies for everyone. Mine goes up one to two days before, stays up throughout, and plummets 2-3 days after.

I started TOM last Thursday, which was my weigh-in day at TOPS and of course I was up a 1 1/2 pounds! It is totally normal for me to gain 3 to 5 lbs right before and during the first couple of days. Today, I'm down the 1 1/2 plus 3 more. I told my doctor about it and he gave me some water pills which do seem to help me. I only take them right before TOM and for a few days afterwards.

I either put on or hold where I'm at a day or two before and ALSO about 10 days after (when I'm ovulating). Knowing and expecting it make it so much less discouraging on those days. I highly recommend tracking it.

I must be the odd ball - I just keep doing the same thing every day and do not pay attention to what time of the month it is. I (knock on wood) have had losses every week since starting this journey, some are better than others, but every Friday, the scale is down.....and that for me, is what matters! (And I only weigh in ONCE a week - which helps me tremendously!)

Make that 2 oddballs Mrs. Quadcrew. I could have written your post with one exception - I do weigh everyday, though only record on Mondays - I don't see any kind of fluctuations at all come TOM.
