Default Bike Stolen

Grr. I'm really irritated. Me and my hubby just got through filing a police report because we realized that my hubby's really expensive bicycle had been stolen off of our 2nd floor apartment patio. I have my own cheap bike from Target but I haven't been able to use it up til now and am just now getting in enough shape to where me and hubby could go biking together on the weekends. My hubby is really in shape compared to me and it was my goal to get in good enough shape to where I could handle trail biking and etc with him which I have finally reached that goal this month. I was actually going to suggest going biking this coming week which is why I noticed his bike was gone. Now I'm really disappointed.

that really stinks, i'm sorry to hear it. maybe you can try a cheap hobby/exercise method for now until you replace it? target has rollerblades too, only $20. i got some for me and my daughter. i know it's unlikely his bike will be recovered, but i'll cross my fingers for you anyway. congrats on meeting your goal, btw... that's still something to be proud of!!!

What a disappointment! I am so sorry to hear that your nice plans were foiled by some jerk stealing DH's bike. That sucks big time.

Congratulations on getting to where you can bike! Good job!

How frustrating! I can't believe someone would take it off the second floor! Okay, yes I can, because people suck...but seriously!

Uuugggghhhhh....I hate people who take from others!!! I am so sorry to hear that your plans now have to be cancealed and postponed. I know how disappointing it can be when you're all phyched up to go get some fun excersize in...and then can't. I hope maybe they can find who took your bike. Has to probably be someone who lives close by to know that you kept your bike on the 2nd floor. Good luck on finding it and something to do in the meantime!!!

Thanks everybody for the support. I was just really disappointed because I wanted to show off to my hubby and surprise him. We know the bike is unlikely to be recovered. But we are just going to find a decent priced bike next month from Target for hubby. We have rollerblades already so we will just be doing that or walking on the trails on the weekends. Thanks again!

Oh wow.... thats a total bummer... .... I hope that they do find the culprit that took it .... but dont let it get you down .... even though it is nerve racking ..... maybe you two can walk or job together until you get that one or another bike for him so you two can start riding.. Well just look at one bright side to this ... you reached your goal... That is something to smile about ... now you can continue with the rest of your goal... sometimes life has hurdles .... but it is never nothing that we cant handle...

Just in case you do and it slipped your mind...do you have renter's insurance? They should pick up the cost.

yes we do have renter's insurance. We just got it when we moved here two months ago. We will be doing a claim. Problem is we have a deductible that we have to use up first and the bike price might fall under the deductible. But for whenever there is a next time if anything happens we should definitely be covered.
