Okay, so this is the first time I have been stung in about 10 years...and I was happier not remembering how bad it felt.

I have a high histamine reaction, which means when I get stung by a honey bee, who leaves venom behind with its stinger, my body freaks. And thus, my body is freaking the heck out. And it HURTS!!! I cannot even look at the area without it hurting worse...the pressure from my vision is painful! It's on my arm, by the inside of my elbow (does this spot have a name?!), so I won't be able to bend my arm for 3-5 days. It's going to make walking awkward because I have to hold it away from my body so it doesn't brush against my side. And don't even start about the fact that I have to carry a baby around, and that is my usual baby-arm.

Seriously, we could live without pollination and honey, right?!

Blah. What a way to start my week. :dizzy:

Ouch!!!

I hate bee's. Especially those huge honey bee's.

I've only been stung once, and that was enough for me. Now I run and hide everytime I even so much as hear one!

I'm not sure if that spot has a name, I do know that the vein that runs there is the AC (antecubital) vein (because thats the one I always go for when I'm putting IV's in people)...

aww that sucks I mom always used a crush asprin when I got stung when I was a kid. Don't know if thatw ould help or not. She'd turn it into a paste and put it one where the stringer was.

I'm sorry about the bee sting.

My mom does the crushed aspirin paste that Big John mentioned as well. It may help to put a large square bandage over the area also. This may help with the rubbing against clothing, etc. and also with the pain from looking at it.

Hope you're feeling better soon.
