What is your most prized OBJECT? or objects?

Remember objects NOT people!

I would say there are two MP3 player (I would have a seriously hard time walking without my tunes), and my water cooler (having 5 gallons of cold water at my disposal with the push of a button is very convenient now that I am drinking so much!).

Several years ago (okay a LONG time ago) I realized that I am a very materialistic person.

I think I'm getting old because everything is just "stuff" right now. I don't really have a "prized" possession, but there are a few things that I don't think I could do without for a long period of time. Number one on that list is my computer (although I have 3: 1 at home, my laptop and 1 at work).

I'm with Allision I can't think of anything that is so important to me that I'd be upset at all if it was gone. I've moved more than 10 times in less than that many years and have become a bit of a minimalist. Some things I'd be sad if I didn't have - but nothing of mine is particularly prized.

I would be sad if my library of books was gone though.

My laptop!

07-22-2007, 09:33 PM
I don't have a prized object(s), I never been a materialistic person.

07-23-2007, 12:31 AM
my puppy!

07-23-2007, 05:33 PM
My stuffed dog who has "slept" in my bed for 20 years.

07-23-2007, 05:39 PM
Without a doubt, my laptop. Not only was it really expensive ( ), but it has records of most of my adult life in the form of files, documents and pictures, and it has nearly ALL of my creative work - stories, writings, and most importantly my art. Since I do almost solely digital art I don't have "originals" or "hard-copies" to keep. It's all on here!

Every time we go out of town I get sooo nervous worrying about someone breaking in and taking it. :o

07-23-2007, 08:06 PM
Hmmm, my prized possession at the current moment is my car, gets me around town and out and about...... I could say the same for my New Balance cross trainers, so comfy!

OK...the picture to the left. He is my yorkie....Junior....the only son I have or daughter for that matter. The love of my life...besides the husband.

I have three Yorkies myself (along with an English Springer Spanial, two Black Labs, and three gorgeous cats). Love them all to pieces.

My "prized" object in life would be my tent trailer. I just love camping so much that I can never wait for summer to come along! I love going with the family and just relaxing by the fireplace, cooking camping yummies, swimming and hiking.

My other prized possession is music, especially from the 70's and 80's. :carrot:

Ok...let's see.... my Doctor of Pharmacy diploma that my DH had framed so beautifully.

Secondly, my computer and my plasma TV.

When I started reading this thread I thought my most prized possession is my new bike, I love it and I ride it almost every day... BUT many of you mentioned the computer, well I would die without being able to post at 3FC if my computer were crash ...

07-23-2007, 10:08 PM
Definitely my computer and my cell phone. They are both how I stay connected with my family, especially my kids. I don't know how we did it years ago, but definitely ran up a lot more long distance calls then. I sometimes work nights and have had car problems late at night some times before I had a cell phone. My hubby went out and bought me one right after that happened one night. There have been so many times when my cell phone was a lifesaver. I would be afraid for my kids if they didn't have one while driving.
My computer is pure enjoyment though and is one of my favorite pastimes. :)

07-25-2007, 03:27 PM
I would have to say my treadmill, computer and new gas grill!

07-25-2007, 04:12 PM
Hmm...from Saturday till Monday it was my copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows",now,I'd have to say my computer...couldn't live without it :o

07-26-2007, 02:26 AM

My first edition print of Michael Ende's "The Neverending Story". Hardcover, and in red and green print. I bought it when I was in 7th grade, and saved my paper-girl delivery money for over a month for it. I've read it a billion times and still LOVE every single word.

09-07-2007, 06:56 PM
Gotta say my TV. I would die without cable, seriously you don't want to see me when the cable goes out.:tantrum:

09-07-2007, 07:56 PM
That is awesome RENNIE ~ I still have one that I earned, as a 13 year old ,from my grandpa and grandma, for memorizing the Books of the Bible! King James though so I don't really use it...but I have the gift...the greatest gift!!

09-07-2007, 08:51 PM
My most prize possession is an incredibly beautiful white gold/yellow gold reversible choker and custom made pendant that my Sweetie gave me this last June with a promise to love and cherish me forever.
Psst, it's the one in my avatar. :)

Second, would have to be my computer, so I can come here and all the other wonderful places on the World Wide Web

Third, my shoes!!:D
