Kier, when you say incontinence, are you referring to a urinary tract problem, or a bowel problem? Incontinence usually means a weak bladder, but it sounds like you are actually dumping and experiencing the gastrointestinal symptoms. I have that with corn syrup and things too high in any kind of sugar, like apple juice if I don't cut it with water. I have heard of other people who experience much the same things you mentioned with the same items.

and let's add in the fact that carbonation can be irritating to sensitive bladders and bowels! regardless of the sugar content.
let's face it, kier - you might be a bit delicate and fragile now!!! <oh stop laughing - ANYTHING is possible!!!!!>
It's actually the uncontrollabe need to pee! sorry to be vulgar. It's getting out of control and let's just say i had 2 fashion emergencies yesterday so I'm cutting it all out to see if it gets better. I also emailed my doc to see what he thought. Jiff aside from my status as a delicate flower lol I'm used to my system basically being wacko I was just getting worried i had some wierd condition!

What about the caffeine levels in the soda? Could that be what's making you run to the bathroom. I know for me when I have my morning cup of coffee I am in the bathroom about 15 minutes later and several times there after.
I have been trying to switch over to some herbal type teas and trying very, very hard to stick to one cup of coffee.
I'd bet it's that wonderful caffeine.......:)
I can have coffee with sweet and low without problem its wierd

if you're not having problems with sweet n low, maybe it's the nutrasweet?

Ever since I was a very small child, I have had the same problem. Anything highly sweetened, which I define as putting it in my mouth and having it taste sweet right off the bat, makes me have to pee quite frequently.
My doctors tried to control it with a few different medications, but none of them worked and they all made me feel icky. So now I just try my best to cut back where I can.
I allow myself ONE Diet Dr. Pepper a day, but also make sure I drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. I have to cut fruit juices and such with water, and I have to read labels pretty carefully.
Taht's what I'm thinking
Wyld I had a similar experience I think with the nwe plumbing its more pronounced!

I've noticed that aspartame (nutrasweet) has a more pronounced effect on my bladder than other sweetened beverages. I don't know if it makes me pee more, but it's much more sudden, and, um, urgent. Like from "don't have to go", to "OMG where's the potty" in just a few seconds.

Nutrasweet, Splenda, Sweet Thing, and significant amounts of HFCS tend to do it to me.
I still don't rightly know why it happens, I just kinda work around it.
