I am planning on making a few recipes that need brown sugar (made with Splenda and SF maple syrup), but have opted to use the Spenda brown sugar instead. The SF maple syrup has a ton of sugar alcohol and that doesn't really agree with me. The other nutritional info was pretty similar I believe.
The Splenda Brown Sugar Blend? It has real brown sugar in it - 2 grams per half teaspoon! A whole teaspoon of real brown sugar is 11 calories with 3 grams of sugar.
On the other hand, is there a kind without real brown sugar?
That's exactly what I do. I have use the Sugar Twin Brown Sugar for normal stuff like baked sweet potatoes during the year and then use the Splenda Brown Sugar for dishes for company at Thanksgiving.
