Nessa, I remember you posting a couple weeks ago that you were going off wheat. Was it because you noticed it triggered cravings?
Last night I had cut three pieces of whole wheat bread for Tom and the kids for dinner. I wasn't planning on having any, but of course as I was cleaning up they each had a bite of their bread left, so I just ate it instead of throwing it away. Not an hour later I had awful cravings!
I haven't noticed any problems with things made with wheat products, like wheat gluten and such, but it might be because I'm not paying close enough attention. I'm really going to keep an eye on this. When I woke up this morning, I didn't have any residual problems.
Does anyone know how long the blood sugar fluctuations can go on? At least if I really wanted something with wheat it would be easier if I could say to myself, "Only twenty minutes left of dealing with these cravings." I don't know if that makes sense, but to have an end in mind would help me manage better.
Thanks for any insight!
