GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE!

Will post my usual morning post sometime later, but wanted to make sure I got our MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY done early in the morning, so here's my contribution for MM:

http://members.aol.com/debelli/monday_morning_thought.jpg

MENTAL UN-BLOCKING

Are you having trouble getting something done? Does it seem that there's some kind of mental block which prevents you from taking the effective actions you know you wish to take?

If you feel like you're operating under a mental block, that's great! Because it's something you can change very quickly. If your mind has the power to hold you back then it also has the power to move you forward.

Think of whatever it is that you haven't been able to bring yourself to do. Think of it and see yourself doing it. Experience yourself doing it, easily, naturally and effectively. In your mind, go there. How do you see yourself sitting, or standing, or walking while doing it? What is the expression on your face? How does it feel? What does it sound like? What people are around you? How great does it feel to be getting it done?

Rather than letting your mind stop you, let your mind take you there. Visualize yourself accomplishing the task with confidence, with creativity and with ease. Experience yourself getting it done. Experience it with clarity and richness, with feeling and awareness.

And suddenly, the mental block is gone. Suddenly, you're on your way, filled with ideas, inspiration and energy. Go there first in your mind, and the reality of your life will surely follow.

What an entusiastic start to a week! I'm still not officially switched to SB but have decided to lurk. I have requested the book from the Library and will probably buy it too. Do have Montignac and Schwartzbein (sp?) and Glucose Revolution - SB is about the only diet book missing from my collection. I bet my diet books total more than the 70 or so pounds I need to lose!

Have a great week - I may pop in to chat from time to time just to say hi.

Good Morning (Again) Everyone:wave:

Got in my 4.5 miles in 49:30, too hot to be making any good times these days. THEY say it's going to get a wee bit cooler later this week-I'm not holding my breath!

I'm pooped today too, another reason I didn't push myself too much. I woke up at 2am to see where Eli was since he worked late, I wanted to make sure he was home-found him on the computer. He came to bed, I couldn't get back to bed:( so I was up from 2am on-I def. will need a siesta later on today, esp when I have to stay up past my bedtime tonight for the party at Starbucks.

Happy to report the scale is down a bit more, at 119.5 today, but still up 1lb from my low. TOM is due within the next 4 days, so I'll be singing the blues when the scale goes up again-never a happy medium, that's for sure.

RUTH, lurk and join us at any time, you know you are welcome!!:D Your book collection on diets sounds like mine with cookbooks-I keep finding more that I didn't even know I had bought-they're everywhere! I like Montignacs book, since he's the first to write about this WOE, SB just took his information and made a US version before he could. I've read the Schwarzbein Principal and liked her preface, but found her plan a bit too strict. Read Suzanne Sommers as well, couldn't go with that one, didn't want to bother with food combining and was going to keep my nuts, olives, avocado, etc-which SB allows me to do. Let us know when you get the book and of course, if you have any questions at all-we're more than happy to help :)

Have lots to do today, so much I had to make a list and not rely on my brain to remember it all. Going to hop in the shower after I get something to eat and off I go for the day. I'll try to check in with you all sometime later this afternoon-should have a little time free then.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and a great week!!!

Good morning everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA. Its been so busy here. With my hubby going back to work and all the Christmas partys and play practices I have not had time to post at all. I gained 2 lbs over the last 2 weeks and do not know why! I have stayed at 210 for the last 2 weeks now. I don't like that but I have did this before and after about 3 or 4 weeks started losing again. But I did lose about 2 more inches. I guess I shouldn't complain but it makes be so mad to see those 2 lbs hanging around on the scale. On the up side I went to a rummage sale last weekend and I bought a size 16 skirt and could actually zip and button it up. That made me feel real good. I wouldn't wear it anywhere just yet tho unless I wear a long shirt to cover the waist I still have a overhang on the top of the skirt. But at least I can get into it. I wouldn't have been able to get one leg into it 4 months ago. I was bad last nite but I payed for it after I got home from the church supper last nite. I ate only one illegal thing and that was a piece of homemade coconut cake and when I got home it made me sick as a dog and I throwed it up! I learned my lesson well no more real sugar sweets for me.

Glad to see everyone is doing well. Happy Birthday Busdeb and Tree.

Well gonna have to check email now its probably full and running over! I haven't checked it in 5 days now.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a safe holiday!

Whew! It is Monday morning and I can relax! This working on Sunday's really make you rethink the week. I now look forward to Mondays!

Saturday I potted 30 paperwhite bulbs as a thank you for Sunday School teachers and committee members. Yesterday, in addition to normals SS and church duties, I had to make 23 goodie bags for the folks we were Christmas caroling for last night. Then I had to lead one group on the caroling tour. We do this every year for all of our home-bound members. It was fun, but would have been more fun if I were not in chanrge--you know what I mean? Anyhoo, I came home and crashed last night. I was wiped out. BUT--through it all (including the goodie bags) I was on program! So maybe I'm getting back on track. Exercise is a distant memory at this point, so I guess I'll joing the hoards back in the gym come the first of January.

I am leaving for NC on Thursday so between now and then I have two candidate proposals to get out, presents to wrap, a few left to buy, pecam pies to bake for friends, a house to clean, cards to send out--think I'll make it? Oh yeah--work too and Christmas parties every night. I may skip tonight's party.

I made sure I had a good breakfast this morning--lots of protein. That seems to help get me through the day better than almost anything else. I can get a salad for lunch and be ok if I have a good breakfast.

I hope everyone has a good day. I know the board is light because everyone who celebrates Christmas is getting serious now--Christmas eve is only a week away! Deb, Viv, and Mel--can y'all relax now?

GREETINGS!!

I had a great week-end! Vince and I went to Jacksonville to visit some friends of our who had twins last year. We got to be there right outside the delivery room when they were born and they are extra special to us.

One of the twins really emptied his stomach on me in the afternoon. I mean REALLY let it flow. Poor baby had it coming out his nose and everything. I got concerned after we made sure the child was okay because I definitely had to take a shower and change into some clean clothes. The mom has a lot of clothes that I gave her when I got too big for them - so I was afraid that I would have to hang out naked in the bathroom and wait for my clothes to wash & dry, but I was able to get into a pair of shorts that I had given her. They were tight and they USED to be my "fat" shorts in college, but at least I could get my butt into them. :D

Sunday we got to spend the whole day together. We got dolled up from the waist up and took pictures with the self timer on the camera and ordered cards from Eckerds with our picture on them. We got silly and took one with our stuffed animal, Scooter. That's the picture we ended up choosing for our cards. Our friends and family members wouldn't know what to do if we sent out "normal" cards.... We went shopping and got almost everyone taken care of. That's a great feeling. I'm gonna miss seeing my family this year and I really look forward to seeing their faces when they open the gifts we get for them, but, alas, we'll have to mail them and settle for pictures this year.

I'm counting down the days till the SB gang will be in OTown and we get to cheer on FROG! That will be a wonderful time!

Well, I've got to run, just wanted to check in - hopefully I'll get to respond to people tomorrow.

FILLISE - CONGRATS on your new position in the church. I just know they are very blessed to have you so active in their family!

 have a GREAT day everyone!

It's been a wild and wacky couple of weeks. So much so that I can't remember when I last posted. This will be quick, I'm at school and expecting a student for tutoring any minute.

My conference was great, stayed fairly OP and didn't gain but haven't lost anything either in the last two weeks. Am staying OP even with the sweets everyone brings to school this time of year.

We have class this whole week, which stinks because I have always been so busy that I used the days before Christmas after we're out of school to get my shopping done. There's only 3 of them this year and Saturday is our big Holiday Ball. Oh well, I'll just have to spend the evenings at the mall this week. :(

Congrats to all of you who are having success this hectic time of year. Together we can all make it. :D

Later,

Sorry I've not even had a chance to check in, but do think about all of ya & wish I could be spending more time with with all of ya. I really do miss checking in & getting caught up, but .....that's life sometimes.

I've been OP, even down another lb to a new low of 139! Seem to be holding there for now. The mouth has been giving me continuous pain. New meds not helping much. Woke up yesterday morning down in the back again & barely made it to church & back. Spent the afternoon in bed after taking muscle relaxers. Managed to make it back to church last night for our Christmas Cantata. Bethlehem's Child. DH was in it, not me. Was nice. Went to see chiropractor this am & got some relief, but pain still hanging on.

Fixing to try to get in the kitchen & do some baking, but when I went to get some Agave Nectar at the HFS, they did not have any!!!! Not sure how I'm going to do this, but I'm going to experiment using some Atkin's SF flavored syrup in place of the nectar. The problem is, it's alot thinner than the nectar, so I'm kind of leary about it.

[Debbie/], did you say that you could order the nectar from this new company that you've been testing recipes for in larger quanties??? If so, would you please send me the site via email??? I really do need to get some one way or another. Thanks.

Thunder, sorry to hear that you've found a couple of lbs. Hope it's just temporary since you've been doing so well. Miss our chats. Maybe after the holidays, life may slow down a bit for us.

In case I'm not on before, want to wish Happy Birthday to Busdeb & TREE!!

Oh what a week-end. It's bad when you look forward to Monday to get some relief! We had a large family Hannukah party on Saturday afternoon-evening, then the neighborhood party Saturday night. Sunday we had friends over, then a neighborhood association board meeting on Sunday night. The foods I ate were all legal ( except the chocolate martini- didn't know there was such a thing- probably could have lived a full and satisfying life without knowing it ) but I'm sure the quantities weren't. So this am the scale was up 3lbs:( I've been chugging water all day, TOM arrived, and I played an extra hour of singles tennis this afternoon, so I hope by Wednesday it's at least gone. More may be too much to hope for considering the 1/2 a cow I at on the weekend in the form of pastrami and corned beef. Good healthy Jewish food!

I wore my Elvira black velvet dress- definitly a hit with the men, and luckily a big giggle with most of the women who are all my friends. I sure did feel exposed.:o Fun once. Good thing I got it at about 70% off, cause it's not a wear it a million times little black dress! I'd post a picture, but still haven't figured out how to scale them down so they fit the max kb size but are still visible!

Melf: 139!!! WOW! I'm having real troubles with that 140 barrier. Good for you. I just realized we started within 2 pounds of each other. How tall are you? I'm a towering 5'3".

Fillise- No, I don't get to relax yet. My husband is not Jewish so we celebrate BOTH holidays:dizzy: Makes all of December totally crazy. At least no one in the family has a December birthday too! It was beginning to look like Christmas dinner would just be the 4 of us, due to various problems befalling other people and Jon's only family is his brother in St. Catharines, Ontario who won't every travel for Christmas. I was getting really depressed about it but then realized I could invite whomever I wanted- they didn't have to be relatives (maybe even better:devil:) so we now have a newly transplanted family from England joining us, and some neighbors who are also Canadian and don't want to make the drive this year. So I get to make a big fuss and meal like everyone else!

Deb- Sorry your garage sale was not a rousing success:( Nothing more depressing than having to box it all up again! Good you are getting rid of it tho! You must be exhausted, I hope you make it thru the party tonite. Get Eli to make you a double espresso, you should be buzzing for days! I discovered that a Trader Joes opened up not to far from me. I keep seeing references to it on this board. It is worth a 20 minute drive? When I pointed it out to DH he said he'd stopped in there once when he worked near there, but all that he could remember was they sold Nutella in gallon jars! Don't think I'll be needing any Nutella.

Hi to all our MIA's- nice to see your posts solshine, jred, thunder and EVERYBODY else.

Gotta go slice vegies and argue about homework--

Hello all,

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. My bus buddies had my b'day breakfast this morning at Cracker Barrel. They all ate my blackberry and whipped cream topped pancake they brought out to me. LOL They gave me some funny cards and some really nice gifts. We did it early in the week because we are all going to be busy busy for the rest of the week.

I had a very busy weekend. Saturday morning Clay(the community we moved from last year and where I work and my children still go to school) had thier first annual Christmas parade. DS # 2 marched and played with the HS band and DD walked with her 5th grade class. It was a great parage and we had to be there at 7:30....so no sleeping late that morning. :( Then the parade wound up at the high school where the HS band was sponsering our annual Winter Festival (a day filled with crafts, food and music). It was a success. We left for a little while and found my new vehicle. I am was so tired of the Mommy van and it has been having some major problems for a while now. So I now have a Honda Passport. I love it. It drives like a dream. Early Christmas and Birthday present.

I still am not finished with my shopping but I will be by friday if it kills and it just might at that.

I will respond later in the week hopefully.

Hi there everyone!

Debbie, as always, thanks for the jump start.

I feel a little awkward getting to try to know everyone on this board. Hopefully, over time, I will feel like I fit in.

Been down with the flu for the past week. The only up side was that I think this helped me lose weight this week. Otherwise, it might have been tough. Every week leading up to the "Big Day" (otherwise known as Christmas) brings lots of food challenges and suprises. Every time I walk past my break room there is another box of cookies or candies. I am proud to report I have not touched a piece (not that I wasn't tempted... or that I didn't stand there and drool over it, he he). Went to my son's christmas program last night and after the program there were tons of cookies and cupcakes and I still was able to resist. Sometimes I feel like the food gods are working against me. :s: Well, more xmas parties this week topped off by my birthday so I really need to be focused.

Only six more week to my cruise!!!

Wishing everyone a great week. Stay strong, stay focused. If we make it through the next few weeks with no gains -- we are all WINNERS and have done much better than the general public.

I'm sleepy--trying to get the house straightened up before I leave on Thursday. Had to check my e-mail so I stopped in here to read the board.

Program-wise today has been good. So far I'm even ignoring the pecan pie that is in the kitchen wishering my name. I have to find a home for it first thing in the morning. I made one for one of our college students, but the recipe makes two. I had a cup of SF hot chocolate this pm and that seemed to satisfy me.

BOB--Belle is staying here. My mom doesn't like cats. The car ride is 8 1/2 hours each way and she would still be home alone when we head out to my brother's for Christmas. I think she is better off in familiar surroundings if she is going to be alone. I have a former student who comes in to feed her and play with her every day. I will be in NC from the 20th to the 29th. I won't be coming back through Greenville--no time this trip. We are going to get together one of these days!

Angela--good going on the sweets! It can be hard--but it is so worthwhile! Stay strong and you will sail through the holidays!

mel--I can't imagine having to celebrate both holidays! One is tough enough. It sounds like you are looking forward to having a big do for Christmas. It is fun to be with folks you like and to celebrate. I really look forward to seeing my family.

melf--wooohooo on the new low! I'm so happy for you. It is always great to see that middle digit change!

Bus and tree--Happy birthday!!!!!!

Jeanie--I'm with you on the wild and wacky last couple of weeks. It's good to hear from you and to hear that you are hanging in on the program.

Sol--thanks for your good wishes. It is a rewarding position---not in terms of money, but in terms of the love that comes from the congregation.

Deb--sorry the yard sale didn't go better--but what a relief to get all that stuff packed up and out of the house!

Sweet dreams. Hope to talk to everyone tomorrow!

HidieHo all!

It seems we are apologizing for not posting as we usually do. Seems we are all so busy.

I did most of the final food shopping this a.m. Also went gift shopping. Seems like I can't get everybody even. Right now ds is about 4 bucks ahead of everyone else. They will just have to live with it! I think I worry about it more than they do. My grandmother used to put the difference in one of our gift boxes. I refuse to go that far!

Before I forget. DEBELLI - I love coffee and always used to head for Starbucks, but now I don't see anything legal except straight coffee. What do you get that is legal? WE KNOW YOU DON"T CHEAT!!!!!!

Heard from dd she should be here Friday or Saturday. I hope all goes well with the visit. I always have to walk on eggs with her, she gets hurt so easily. She seems to look for things that she can misconstrue to be negative. She dwells on past incidents that have upset her. Oh Well! Have to get busy.

Take care all. Shirley

Yep, I'm here 2 days in a row!

Thought I'd post my 2 pound loss today in case the scales take them back tomorrow morning for WIW! :)
My patience paid off. I've been able to satisfy the chocolate cravings with legal fudge bars and two small squares of a candy called Fifty-Fifty. It must be gonna be a baadd TOM. (That doesn't sound right, but whatever)

My two men have headed east to go deer hunting. DS is only home until the 2nd of Jan. and then back to the Academy until at least spring break in March and maybe not until May if he decides to take a big boy trip for spring break. DH told me I could have him next week and I almost starting crying. Another indication of a baadd TOM headed my way.

So I'll be spending my afternoons and evenings this week shopping for Christmas. I've picked up a couple of things and ordered some from Amazon.com and have a list in my head so it shouldn't take me long. Just the idea of being in the middle of the mobs is stressing me out. But I love Christmas.

Ld: When I was in San Antonio I thought about you. The convention center marquee was announcing an Air Supply concert and I thought about you and Pat Benetar! It put me back about 25 years to see that sign.

BusDeb: Happy Birthday!

Tree: Happy Birthday, too!

Louisiana Ladies: Do you like the rain I sent your way? We had over 4 inches over the weekend and it's supposed to start up again on Friday. If it does this through the winter, we might finally see some real snow!

Well, it's time to head for the stores. I'll check with you all later.
Have a good evening! And I hope a successful WIW. :dizzy:

SEF There is plenty to choose from at STARBUCKS....they do everything sugar free that they do full fat..but you have to ask for the sugar free syrups. I don't think they have low fat whipped cream, but ask and see...ENJOY!!!

Well gals...I'm off to lurk in other places..I'll be watching NYPD so I won't be in chat...I PROMISE that when the reruns start I'll be there...

Everybody out shopping? Very short messages on the board these days. I only managed to shake off two of the weekend's 3 pound gain:( so not real pleased with WIW! I had a real problem with the poll this week- I know I should care more about how I feel, but I'm obsessed with being able to see defined muscles, AND LOWER NUMBERS ON THE SCALE! That's a contradiction- so I put "how I look". How vain! WIW may have been a bust, but I acheived a new personal goal this morning- did 10 reps of squats with a 85 pound bar. I needed my occaisional live-in trainer (dd- who is really ripped muscle-wise, she squats 150) to help me get the bar on my shoulders without knocking myself senseless), but it felt great.

Just made mix chocolate cupcakes for the cub scouts to decorate tomorrow- not at all tempted, they look gross!

Busdeb and Tree HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Congratulations to the losers, especially at this time of year! Empathy to the "holding ons"!

Hi Angela, welcome aboard, usually we are a lot chattier.

Gotta go, the oven's beeping.

HidieHo all!!

Thanx or the input about Starbucks, Gator. Maybe the girl was having a bad day when I asked if they had anything sugar free. Will try again.

Am going to choir party tonight. I made pita chips and cheeses dip.

After my shower I had a clothes trying on orgy. I was amazed. The dress I wore 11 years ago to dh funeral is loose! Several other outfits are too.

I hauled them all to the front of the closet. Sunday a friend gave me a red top that she had been given and it fit! So I can definitely see a change in clothes. Have come down three, count them, 3 sizes in underpants. All they same band and style so can't say it's because I changed style or brand. All in all it has been a very good day!!!!!!!!!

A big hand for the littler lady!!!!!!!!

Well have to go through my mail.

Oh, welcome to the newcomers.

Take care all. sef

Good Wednesday Evening Everyone:wave:

<Sigh> After last night's post disappearing into cyber-space and me being too tired, I just didn't have the time, patience or desire to repost at that time. I was totally finished with the post when it cut me off and gave me a FATAL ERROR message-I was just going to copy it and submit it. This post is DEFINITELY going to be saved along the way!!!!

I've been running all day long and didn't even get on the computer this morning-which is RARE, if not unheard of. After taking Michael to school I debated about going out for my walk, but I did, though, only walked, but was able to get those 4.5 miles in. Afterwards, I had to rush and get ready to drop my car to get an oil change and have my sister pick me up to see my 4yr old Niece at her school Xmas program and then my Mom and I went shopping until my car was ready, then got the car and continued to go shop-p/u Lauren and just got the opportunity to sit down-I'm pooped!!!

Yesterday Eli was off and we went up to Broward. Ole Ole, for the first time was less than stellar, they were so busy that the service just wasn't what it usually is-but considering all the wonderful service we always have, I'll let this day slide. Went to get Carbolite as well, Cappucino and Vanilla. NOW, I must confess, I ate like a COW yesterday. It was awful!!!:s: We went to WHOLE FOODS and I discovered some SUGAR FREE CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE It was to die for! Small piece and made Eli eat most of it, but I had enough. It didn't stop there. I bought 3 SF CRANBERRY SCONES and I ate all 3 in about an hours time:eek: I'm sure there was more, but I can't remember it all-I was in a food stupor. Yes, it was all SB LEGAL, but WAY too much stuff!

Okay, it's WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY TODAY Hope you all faired better than I. Needless to say, the scale is up today:( but honestly, I don't believe it's from what I ate yesterday-TOM is due in 2 days and I know the scale goes up, up and away like mid-cycle-so this is expected, as usual, never enjoyed. I guess I should be happy just staying within my 5lb cushion, shouldn't I?

Yesterday I did my longest jog ever-2 miles:spin: No great times, but the length was the longest yet.

Eli's Xmas party at SB went well. I heated up two Stouffers Lasagna along with some Texas Toast Garlic Bread. I doubled up on my hummus and that went over big time, not a drop left in the plate:) Didn't get home til after 1:30am and by the time I got to bed, I'd been up for 24 hours straight-how the heck I got up and jogged the next morning is beyond me!

THUNDER, I know how you feel about being MIA. If I'm gone just a day, I feel like I've been in a POW camp without access to the world-which is how I've felt this past week. Don't worry about the gain, it happens to the best of us, even when we've been OP 100%. Like you said, you've lost inches, you got into a skirt size you hadn't in a long time-those are the accomplishments to look at, not the numbers on the scale (too bad I don't practice what I preach). I can easily go up 5-6 pounds and it's not from eating the wrong stuff-so don't worry about it, it will come back down;)

FILLISE, you sure have been busy, and crafty too! Me and plants don't mix, one look from me and they die. Will you have access to the computer while you are away?? I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip and enjoy the holidays!!!

SOL, sounds like you got to experience one of the joys of Motherhood! Hey, at least it wasn't coming out of the other end!!! I can't remember who it was, Michael or Lauren barfed on me when they were little, right into my cleavage in my bra-pretty darned gross. Michael was on a friends lap, who happened to have on white pants, diaper leaked, need I say more????? Ahhh, the Joys of Motherhood!!!! Oh, let's not forget the time I found half a cockaroach next to Lauren-who most likely chomped on the other half-couldn't get myself to kiss her for a little while:eek: Counting the days down til we come-can't wait!!!!

JRED, you are doing very well, despite what the scale says. Just by staying OP and not giving into the temptations of all the goodies out there makes you a big winner, even if the scale doesn't move downwards, because ultimately, it will. Okay, I wrote that before I saw your second post-so see, your patience did pay off! CONGRATS!!!!

MELF, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW LOW!!!! That's wonderful news to read! I was doing the happy dance for you when I saw your post. Sorry to hear that your mouth is still giving you problems that hurt so much though-hope somehow they find some meds that will work for you. There are a few sites on the FOOD INFORMATION BOARD that carry agave syrup, and there's a BREW SITE (actually, a few of them) that carry the agave in bulk. The shipping is high, but if you can't get it locally, you could get it shipped. Try to locate it ASAP, that's all I can say for now-more to come.

MEL, I'm up there with you on the scale-unfortunately. We both know that those numbers will come back down again. Congrats on the new exercise you did-way to go!!! Your dress and you for the party sounded divine-I'm sure you look, as FROG would say, MAHVULOUS! Trader Joes near you-you are so lucky! Worth a 20 minute ride-heck, if I was within 5 hours of one I'd make the treck! You won't be disappointed!!!! GO!!!!!!!!!! Oh, but do leave the Nutella on the shelf. I too wanted to say the numbers on the scale are more important, but chose how I look because ultimately, that's what does seem to matter more-but the numbers, I obsess over badly.

BOB, LOL, party had to be after the store closed so all the workers could participate and the food could be set up-it was nice and Eli has a wonderful group of people who work for him. They are talking about giving him a new store that's going to be opening in March-higher volume with a drive through-free standing building. It's part of the process as you move up the corporate ladder.

BUSDEB, again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sounds like you had a nice breakfast with your co-workers. A new car! Drive it in good health. How are the horses doing in their new home???

ANGELA, you'll be fine, in time you'll get to know us all:) Congrats on resisting the temptations of the holidays. Just think of the great rewards you'll receive by NOT eating that stuff-you should be proud of yourself. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well-not fun to be sick around the holidays, that's for sure. When is your birthday??? Sorry, I didn't acknowledge it, your BIO isn't on the BIO BOARD, the reason I didn't know. So, if your bday has passed hope it was a good one, if not, please let us know when it is. Loved your message to us all Wishing everyone a great week. Stay strong, stay focused. If we make it through the next few weeks with no gains -- we are all WINNERS and have done much better than the general public It's so true!!! THANKS!

SEF, like you, my Mom tries to be fair with all the Grandkids, but it's hard sometimes. Honestly, I can't give you the Starbucks info-I don't drink coffee and the only thing I ever get there is the iced tea. Everyone loves that we don't drink coffee, as they know there's always pounds of it stuck away in our cupboards!!! I can ask Eli though, he'll surely know. LOL! Three underware sizes-you are too much!!!! You'll be due for some bikini undies soon!!!

I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT COMING REGARDING AGAVE SYRUP!!! I am working on some really important news that I have regarding the AGAVE SYRUP. It's going to take me a little time to compile this information and get it to you. It's NOT GOOD NEWS. I will e-mail you all with the information first, as many haven't gotten on the board in a while due to the holidays. I'll be posting the information as well. Sorry, I can't give you more info now, but it's forthcoming. Let's just say, if you need to get agave now, please, don't wait.

I hope you all can forgive me for being lax on the board this past week, but now, I seem to be caught up and back to somewhat of a normalcy here.

Okay, and with that note I'm outta here, for tonight. Tomorrow is RECIPE DAY, but with everyone's busy schedules, I will be suprised if we see any postings. I'll see if I have some time to come up with a couple.

Will check in with you all tomorrow!

No time at all to post!

Have had a horrible week! Lost the fight with DH to keep the cat indoors, am FORCED to leave her outside until we return home from trip!   I hope and pray that she'll be ok. Neighbor and friend have agreed to check to see that she has food and we'll leave the basement open for her.

Am packing now to go to parents' home for Christmas, may have to post pone until Fri if I can't get it all done.

Up 1/2 pound but don't care! Ate sugary sweets everyday since Mon, that's just how it has been. Will get back OP once the dust settles.

Want to wish everyone a VERY merry Christmas.

Peace,

Been, busy, busy, busy, just like everyone else. Probably will be for the next 10 days or so too.

BUS and TREE--Have Wonderful Birthdays. Try to take some time for yourselves in this crazy time of year.

WELCOME ANGELA

LIZERY--thinking of you

BIG HI to everyone else; those on board, the lurkers and the MIAs

I seem to be bouncing between 166 and 168. But I put on a pair of pants today and they seem bigger thru the waist and stomach area so that's nice.

Well, Gotta run and drop off a treat for DS's holiday party at school.

The way things are going, I'm really gonna have to Sugar Bust after the holidays.

Bye for now

I don't really have a lot of time anymore but I wanted to give an update. First of all, I hope everyone is feeling well and Happy Birthday to the Birthday girls! I have been doing pretty good. I went shopping last week and instead of a size 24 jeans, I could actually wear the 20!!!! I was so excited :):) I bought the 22 because I wanted to have a little more room and my Mother says You need to get the smaller size those are huge on you! ::::beaming:::::

I have stayed off the scale because I don't want to be discouraged. Maybe after the New Year I will try again for WIW. WE are going to Orlando next week to visit Disney and such. Should be fun and the kids Dad is going with us ( me, MIL, SIL and her BF.) He moved out and so far things have been so peaceful. Maybe a change was all we really needed!

Anyway. I am still here. I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday!:D

Just a quick hello. Scanned the board & glad to see Liz posting & doing ok. Still praying for ya!

Frog, cats seem to do well outside & yours should do fine! I'm afraid I've given into some of the sugary tempations this week also. Hope you have a wonderful Family Christmas!

My DD from Texas called me at work today & said they will be coming for Christmas after all. Horrah!!!! :D All 3 of my girls & 4 grandsons together at last! It has been a while since we've all been together for FAMILY TIME. So I'm excited about that, but now I need to get busy & wrap these gifts before they get here because they are ALL in the spare bedroom

OK, the OTHER BIG NEWS! DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!:smug: I HIT A NEW LOW TODAY OF 138!!! Not sure how long it will last since I ate some :nono: today, but hey, I'm there & it gives me somewhat of an edge, so I'm excited.

We're having our Nursing Service Christmas night out tonight at a local Steak House. Need to go get ready soon. DD had her 35th birthday yesterday, so I'm treating her to her supper as she works PRN at the hospital ER Dept as well as for our local Pediatrician (misspelled???). So have a good one, everyone!

Good evening

Busdeb - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Tree - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Just checking in to say Hi to everyone. I haven't posted much lately as I have been so busy with holiday preparations as well as working more than usual, also have to work several days next week so have to do lots of planning before the big day. I was up a couple of pounds yesterday but didn't get to weigh this morning. The half pound I was down last week didn't stay off for long. I'm finding it very hard to keep my hands out of the cookie jar and the chocolate box. Everyday at work there's more goodies to indulge in. Two years ago when I started this woe I had much more willpower but now my resistance is much lower. I think for the time being I just have to concentrate on maintaining, and concentrate on trying to lose in the new year.

Frog - Sorry to hear that you lost the fight over the cat. But if he is used to being outside I am sure he will do o.k.while you are away with the help of your friend and neighbour.

Melf - Congrats on the new low. Only three to go to goal!!!!!!

Lizery - Way to go on the new sizes. Glad to hear that things are peaceful on the home-front.

In case I don't get back again soon I wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
Marie.

Evening All:wave:

Finally have a chance to sit down and do a quick post-seems it's been that way lately.

You should all of received an e-mail from me explaining the AGAVE SYRUP SITUATION. If you have not, that means you are either A-not on our BIO BOARD, or B-not providing me with a correct e-mail address. I will post a short copy of that e-mail tomorrow for the rest of you who lurk to read.

Eil and I went out for lunch at a ME rest. today, and afterwards, all day, I felt barfy (you know that usually means good news on the sclae the next day)-not due to the food, but due to TOM due probably tomorrow or Saturday. I fell asleep for about 2 hours and woke up feeling much better this evening. Ready to hit the hay soon.

Won't be able to get in my walk tomorrow-have to be at Michael's school early in the morning to help volunteer for a brunch they are having at 10am-that is, unless I get up REALLY early while it's dark and do it-NOT!

MELF, CONGRATS on that new low-boy, you are just burstingthis week with great news!! I know how good that feels, and surely this must be keeping you on the straight and narrow to be able to see the scale moving downward, esp. during this time of year when there's so many goodies everywhere!!

LIZ, FROG, ROSALIE & ZANNE, glad to see your posts and that you took a few minutes out of your busy schedules to come on the board to say hello-it means a lot to me :)

Off to bed I go!

I'll check in with you all sometime tomorrow!

Hi everybody. Christmas break is finally here! Two weeks off from school. Of course, my three will probably drive me crazy.:dizzy:

I haven't done too good this week. Too many temptations at school.:nono: I don't know why parents think they have to give candy as gifts for the teachers. I've managed to stay at 151 even with all the cheating. I'll do better now that I'm home. I don't have the temptations that I do at school. I have my annual physical tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to weighing and hearing what my dr has to say about my weight loss.

Happy birthday to the birthday girls.

Melf: You are soooo close. You go girl! Where in TX does DD live?

Liz: Way to go. Isn't it great to get into those smaller sizes?;)

JRED: Are y'all out of school now?

Guess I better go. Long day tomorrow with the dr visit and all.
Merry Christmas!

Hello to everyone. I know that everyone is just out and about with the holiday just a few days away. I will be glad when this is all over. I like the holiday, but I find it hard when it gets out of hand. LIke the girls at work wonder where our check is from the doctors that we work with. (we work in a hospital, and in the past these guys have given us a gift) But the girls will say that this is the least that the docs can do for us when we work so hard for them. I thought that gift giving shouldn't be expected and that it comes from the heart and not filled with greed.

Anyway...sorry I rambled on and on. Things are going ok. I am staying on track with the program and keeping up with the exercise. The only thing that isn't working is the scale going down. It hasn't moved but a couple of pound up and then down.
I know that a drop has to be coming soon, but like how about now.

Happy Birthday to Tree and Busdeb!!!!!

Well, I need to get some sleep (maybe that is why the scale isn;t moving--I am only getting 5 hours of sleep every night!) But the great news is that tomorrow is my last day of work till Jan 7thy. I am really loking forward to the time off and getting caught up on some things, like learning how to keep track of all you neat people.

Anyway, Have a great day tomorrow.

music teach...you asked "Where in TX does DD live? " She lives in Dayton, about 50 miles northeast of Houston. And guess what her name is??? Yeap!! Tina! :D They are about 3&1/2 to 4 hrs away from us. She has just one child, a son, 14. I truely miss them both, so I'm excited about them coming for Christmas. Should get here Saturday.

Our Nurse's Night out went well. I ordered the baked catfish which was stuffed with shrimp & crab meat. It was um um good! It was a fun time for all that showed up. We were 13 of us.

LAMAP...yea, sounds like those nurses have the totally wrong attitude about the gifts from the docs. Our docs try to feed us well every Christmas with lots of goodies & we all love them for it, but it's a gift from the heart. They donate money for our Nurse's Week breakfast too. Not that they have to, but because they want to. I'm trying not to endulge too much in the goodies this year, however....LOL

Well, it's way past bedtime. DH & I got a good deal of the gifts wrapped tonight, but still not finished. Hope all have a joyful Friday!

Well, I think I am done! Bought my last presents this a.m. I have had it.

DD arrived safe and sound. Tomorrow she wants to make some gingerbread cookies, an old family favorite. Pray that I resist.

Choir party went well. I stayed OP but jalepeno cheese kept me up most of the night. Just a tad to spicy I guess for now. Someday, hopefully I will get my normal stomach back. I miss my spice!!!

With all the doings here don't know when I will be on again. So just in case, I wish you all......A HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! You all are my friends.

Hello all,
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes. It was a great 41st bday. DH took me out to Outback and a little shopping. We finished our Christmas shopping finally. LOL I thought I would never finish...not sure why it has seemed to take me forever this year but it did. I also spent tonight wrapping presents and I am happy to announce that I am finished with that also. So now all I have to do is go do the grocery shopping in the morning.

Please all pray for my mother ....she has celulitus (sp) and is having a bad time. Her leg is so swollen it looks like it might bust at any minute. They sent her to the hospital yesterday to check and see if she was trying to throw a blood clot and I am glad to report all her veins are flowing smoothly. We have planned to go to her house on Christmas.....but we may end up at ours because I am not sure she is up to cooking the holiday meal.

Take care you all and the ones traveling have a safe trip.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

I've had a couple of really bad days. Thursday I ate mostly all bad carbs. Felt really gross. Yesterday was a little better, but I still felt kind of bad.

Well this morning I stepped on the scale and WHOOHOO! It said 165. I got on 3 times to make sure.:D I don't remember when I last saw that number.

I guess I got an early Christmas present. Now if I could just keep it there over the holidays:^: I guess I've got my motivation!

In case I don't get a chance to get back on:

Evening All:wave:

Just waiting for Eli to get home from work and do the dinner thing. Have been busy most of the day and just had time to sit down now to read the posts.

I thought I wouldn't get in my walk/jog today, but I was up and out before 6am and back by 6:30am to take Michael to school. Did 3.5 miles, better than the 0 I thought I'd get in. Ran back home after dropping him off to shower and then run back to the school to volunteer to help with a breakfast for the Seniors from last year that came in today to p/u their IB Diploma-it turned out nice and we had just enough food/drink for everyone.

Ran around afterwards and just winding down now.

Was happy to see the scale back to 118.5 this morning:D I know it's going to go up, TOM is due at any moment so a gain is inevitable, unfortunately.

By now, you've all received my e-mail regarding the agave syrup. If you are NOT on my e-mail list but visit our board, here's a brief overview of what I am talking about-this is what I plan on posting over on the Sweetalk Board, basically, what went out in the e-mail, just a bit shortened version:

I have some very disturbing news to share with all of you who use AGAVE SYRUP.

Please know that the information I am about to give is in my opinion, accurate, but I cannot tell you 100% proof positive. I don't believe and have no reason to doubt this information as being anything but accurate. This woman has a 10 year reputation to uphold in the Health Food Industry and I do not think she would risk not only her reputation, but a lawsuit for giving false information to the public. So here you go...

These are bits of many e-mails that I have gotten from her in the past couple days:

Our parent company and owner, in Mexico, has decided to cease all world wide production of organic agave syrup. It seems the growers in MX are charging him more and more...and now, the price has doubled and tripled too many times. He cannot charge the higher costs because the market will not buy it and he cannot afford to operate at a loss, for the several years it would take to grow his own.

They closed down the office in Europe last week, and now, us here for this week.

Our plant is shut down. No syrup production, none at all this month was produced. There is no inventory of syrup in Mexico as I have purchase orders which cannot be filled. After all of our distributors run out of agave syrup, it will be like any of your old favorite products that are no longer around. We are the world's only mass producer.

INVENTORY: Sweet Cactus Farms has 20 drums left of blue agave syrup. The syrup she has dates back to at least August 1999 as that is when they stopped production. We always said the shelf life is 2 years but I believe if kept under cool conditions, under 95 degrees and out of direct light, it may last quite a while.

If I were you, I run to the nearest stores and pick up as much of the Sweet Cactus as you could afford to buy!

You can tell everyone our own website is finally up and running--they put it up on Monday--great timing since that is the day they told us we were shutting down!

Anyone can buy any bottles (8 oz. or 12 oz.) as well as the sticks and portion packets on the site, with a credit card.

http://www.naturelusa.com/

Syrup operations are closed, office/warehouse is still open. There are hundreds of cases of bottles in warehouse. They need to get rid of inventory so sales are welcome. The website guy is in the office and only if they run out of product, would they pull website down. Website will be up probably until product is gone anyway.
*****************

Well everyone, this is what I have and what I am passing along to all of you. You can take the information as you wish. I wish, hope and pray this was all just a cruel joke, but like I said, I have no reason to doubt what I was told. Like I said, she has a reputation to uphold, and I highly doubt she would put this information out if it weren't true.

I hope all of you who use the agave can find it easily and get a decent stock to keep on hand. I myself have already ordered 2 cases to add to what I have in my home currently, which should last me at least a year, as I use it, but not on a daily basis. It doesn't seem like finding it will be a problem considering that I buy Sweet Cactus Farms brand and from what she said, they have stock on hand, even though it is over 2 years old.

Hopefully, we'll find something else to substitute when the supplies run out.
*******************

Well, that's the news for everyone to read. Not happy at all, but what can we do. Just pray the supply that's out there lasts for a while!!

SATURDAY MORNING Don't remember why I didn't get the above finished and posted last night-so here I am, Saturday morning vowing to finish and get this posted. Not but 4-5 garage sales out there, not worth going really, they are far apart and probably don't have much anyhow. I have a LOT of work to do in the house and probably should just stay home and concentrate on getting it done. Xmas day is not going to be at my house, keeping it at the Grandparents, but cousins may come to spend the night on Tuesday, so need to tidy up the place. I am having everyone here on New Years Day though, 11am, so I definitely have to get ready for that, will probably have 35-40 people at the house:eek:

TOM blew in last night and the scale is up, as I knew it would be. Didn't help that I ate a slew of food yesterday, including some wonderful lentils Eli made. Gas attack is going to be bad today:eek: Maybe it's good for society that I stay indoors today! LOL!!! He said he only used lentils, garlic, onions, salt and pepper. I put some plain yogurt on it, to die for!!!

MUSIC, I think we all can relate when the kids are out of school for any extended period of time-more than 1 day is extended for me! I'm not sure if it gets harder or easier as they get older-keeping them from getting bored. Sometimes I wish we could just get away for the 2 weeks they are off, but everyone comes to Fl from our family, so here we stay. At least I have a week for Spring Break to take them up to NC:) How did your physical go????

LAMAP, glad to see your post. I have to agree with you, it sort of puts a damper when the time comes that it's expected that a present will be received and if it's not, or not what you want, people tend to get an "attitude." My daughter came home with a gift that a little girl gave her from the Dollar Store-she was upset that she had given her something nice from Bath and Body Works-I had to remind her that it's the thought that counts and that she received a very nice gift from another one of her friends and what Lauren had given her was no where in comparison, still a nice gift, but no comparison and there should NOT be any comparison due to it being the thought that counts. Don't worry about the scale. The same thing happened to me, went up and down and up and down the same pounds. I stayed focused and OP and finally had a 6lb drop-it will come, you know your hard work will pay off:) Enjoy your vacation!

MELF, enjoy your time with the family. I'm sure you can't wait til your DD comes in today.

SEF, enjoy your baking day. I'm sure you'll do fine with the gingerbread cookies. Treat yourself to 1 and put the rest away-or have DD hide them from you. One won't kill you!

BOB, do check in before you go. Have a good and safe trip and enjoy your time with your family. We will be talking about you in Orlando, so your ears may be burning on Sat/Sun! We really wish you could of made it to this get together-we're going to miss you!!!

BUSDEB, glad to hear you enjoyed your birthday. Outback is always a good place to have dinner! Hope your Mother feels better and her legs don't get worse, but better-something to pray for and ask Santa for for Xmas;)

ZANNE, CONGRATS ON THE NEW LOW!!!! Doesn't that feel great to see numbers like that again!

Well gals, off to one of the rooms in the house to start to tidy up (okay, do some major cleaning, who am I trying to kid!). I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get whatever shopping/cooking/wrapping/etc done before the holiday on Tuesday. I know many of you are lurking for a second, do try to post a quick hello if you are able to, but if you can't, we all understand and look forward to hearing from you once the dust settles down from the holidays.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! Just wanted to get that in just in case you don't mosey onto the board after this weekend.

Hi all,

Merry Christmas all!!! I will not be on again until after Christmas as we have so many things to practice for and 3 or four places to go to do gift exchanging. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday. I am still at a standstill on the weight loss but am not going to be discouraged because I know the weight loss will start up again soon. Have had a busy week this week, first my mom fell out her back trailer door and fractured her leg and shes laid up for the next few months and then the same day my daughter turned up with the pink eye!:?: So all in all its been hectic here. I cooked up a pan of lasagne and put it in freezer bowls so my step-dad would not have to worry about cooking and fixed them some mini quiches for breakfast so all he has to do is pop them in the microwave. And fixed them a few other things for the freezer to heat and eat. We had our christmas last nite so my hubby can enjoy our daughter playing with her new toys before he goes back to work Tuesday nite.

Debelli thanks for the encourageing words I needed them. My sister is in Florida for the holidays. She and her 5 yr old are doing Disney World and a few other things. She was supposed to have been going with my brother and a friend but at the last minute they backed out of going. Boy was she upset! But she has been planing this trip for 3 yrs so she went on by herself with her son. She called mom last nite and said she was a little scared to be there by herself but she was ok. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Melf happy to hear your great news. Congrats on the weight loss. And on having all you children at home for the holidays!!:spin:

Lizery so glad to see you post have been praying for you. Glad to see you are doing better and congrats on the sizes going down.

sef hope your back gets to feeling better soon.

To everyone else have a Merry Christmas and a safe happy holiday!!!!!

Will start posting again after Christmas!!

HI- I feel like I've just been out here lurking, except for the exercise board. I'm just pluggin away at trying to stay legal, and working out a lot. Yesterday I gave myself a Christmas present of a private tennis lesson and it was great. "fixed up" a few problems that I had created for myself by forgetting the basics. Amazing how much better I can move with 33 lbs less of me.
Was hoping that would be 35 by Christmas- doesn't look good for the Christmas wish weight, but stuck is certainly better than up!

Yesterday I went to Trader Joes's- lots of interesting stuff there, but lunchtime of the Friday before Xmas is probably not the best time to explore. I was disappointed that they didn't have the 2 things I was looking for: agave and 70+% chocolate, but will try it again on a less hectic day. I do know where I can get a few more bottles of agave, so I'll head there this morning.

I can't seem to wake up today- gotta go run the dog. It's real cold today so maybe that will wake me up!

Can't reply today to posts- have a great weekend everybody!

Hi everyone!!! Its been months since Ive been on this board. I took a leave as I had some personal things I needed to get a handle on. Everything is better except the weight. Ive managed to gain a few pounds after losing 20 lbs. I still have a ways to go to reach goal and hope to reach it by my 1 year anniversary in March. I plan on posting more regularly after the holidays.

Hubby and I just got back from a golfing excursion in Myrtle Beach. Nice weather and beautiful courses.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Oh, I am dead! DD and I made peanut butter, coconut balls, toll house and gingerbread cookies (which needed special icing). Plus I made a big batch of fresh cream of mushroom soup. (by the way I used WW flour to make roux and it is gooooooood!) As a result of all this activity I am pooped.

My dd may be a nurse but doesn't realize this old gray mare ain't what she used to be. Plus rain, which is here now, threatened all day and we know that is not my best time!

Now DD is at a birthday party in Mobile, wanted me to go but I just couldn't!

I am pleased to say I did not even lick a finger, let alone have a cookie!! But oh dear, those gingerbread are calling!! They have icing and decorations too which makes it more of a sugar nightmare!!!

Tomorrow we are supposed to meet some friends in Biloxi for lunch.

All my gifts are wrapped but still have to put on the bows.

THUNDER - My husband had a job, week on/off. Santa came to our house at odd times too. The neighborhood kids thought it was great and their parents had some explaining to do as to why Santa didn't visit them at odd times too. You can't change the religious times, but the fun part of any holiday can be when you want it for your family time! The only one you can't really celebrate is New Year's Eve, that ball goes down at midnight and that's it, no replay!

CAT - Glad to see you back, we missed you.

DEBELLI - Tried to pick up your card but keep getting no such thing exists. You are encouraging me to cheat?!?! The no cheat diva of the world wants someone else to cheat?!?! OMG pass me the salts I think I'm gonna faint!!

I've been alseep for two hours now have my second wind and probably won't get to bed as I should!

Take care all. sef [/COLOR]

Okay. I am sure no one remembers me. I signed up on your bio-board a year ago, but sorry to say didn't stay with it. I have updated my bio and plan to reenter the world of the living in the New Year

I turned 50 this year and took a hard look at myself and didn't like what I saw. I am planning on changing that as of 1/1/02.

My resolution is NEW YEAR, NEW ME!!

I have recently purchased several Sugar Buster Books and plan on reading them and getting up to speed on how to do this program so that I can start out full steam on 1/1/02.

Please welcome me back into your little group as I know I am going to need lots of help and support to get to my goal for the new year!!

Hugs to you all
Carol

(Been have trouble all day getting this post on that I did this morning-seems I'm the only one-hoping it works this time!!!!)

Good Sunday Morning Everyone:wave:

Got back a little bit ago from doing my 4.5 miles (50:07). Got a later-than-usual-start today, seemed I slept a little in today-guess I was pooped!

I didn't do a darned thing yesterday OUTSIDE of the house. Only place I went outside was to throw out the garbage! I cleaned some of the house-it's so overwhelming that I don't do much for long before I stop and surf the net a little or watch some TV before going back to doing more. I was able to get the clean clothes folded and off the couch so you can actually see it now! I'm working on the dining, family and kitchen some more today. You can see I made a big dent in each room. Once those get somewhat situated (kitchen NEVER stays clean enough), I'll tackle my bedroom (never bad, just lots of books and mags near my side of bed lately) and my bathroom (bad, my hair is all over the floor!) next. Then will work on the back yard and getting some more stuff together for Goodwill-of course, it's not going to happen all in one day!!!!!

I have been very lax on keeping my food journal and it shows. I know I've been eating in excess of what I should be. Also, instead of the SB CHOC. being something I was eating once in a blue moon, it's getting quite a few times a week, so this is something else I am going to watch. Today I am going to journal everything that goes into my mouth and try to get in some water, another thing I've not been doing well on.

Didn't remember, but yesterday was my 21 MONTH SB ANNIVERSARY!!! As each month passes and I get closer to the 2 year mark (March 22), I still can't believe that I've stayed with something so well for so long!!!

THUNDER, with all that's happened with your Mom and Daughter, not to mention the holidays right upon us, you managed to get on the board and post and I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!! Sorry to hear about your Mom's mishap, I hope she recovers quickly. I hope your sister is enjoying her stay in the Sunshine State-she sure does have some good weather to enjoy while she's here. Hoping when we have our get-together in 2 weeks the weather will be good as well. Look forward to hearing from you again after the holiday!!!

MEL, hey, you still have a couple days, who knows, maybe you'll meet that 35lb mark. Though, if not, you sure as heck are close enough and definitely, you should be proud to make it to where you are!!! You lucky bugger you, went to TJ's! They don't carry AGAVE SYRUP, so don't bother getting your panties in a wad over them not having it. BUT, you should of been able to find the chocolate, they did carry the DROSTE as one time (didn't see it there last time I was there though) but I did see the VAHLRONA 70%, so ask for it for next time. Check out their WW PITA, SOURDOUGH BREAD, TRADER GIOTTI'S EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, TJ'S TOMATO SPLASH (we use this in chicken, it's in a small jar-it's sundried tomatoes), if you like balsmatic vingear TRADER GIOTTI'S is wonderful. Check out the cheeses too. They carry the Cabot 75% reduced fat and a really good reduced fat gouda. I also liked their FF Jalapeno cheese, but not their FF cheddar. THe CELTIC CHEDDAR (reduced too) is wonderful. They have frozen SWEET POTATO FRIES I bought, but didn't try yet). My son loves their chickenless nuggets-very cheap too. There's lots of other good stuff there, you just need to look around really well. The nuts are a steal too there!!!!

CAT, glad to see you back on the board. We look back to having you on full force after the holidays :)

SEF, I am SOOOO proud of you for not giving in to temtation with all those delicious sounding cookies you made. Oh no :nono: don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you to cheat, me, NEVER!:s: BUT, if you really did desire one of those cookies, one wouldn't kill you. For me, there's been nothing that I truly desired to have YET to tempt me to go off plan. Being that I've been able to bake with the agave syrup and be able to eat things that seem to be "bad" but are in actuality good for me on this WOE, I just don't miss anything. Not even the cheesecake my Mother made for Thanksgiving! So, of course, don't eat the cookies unless you REALLY REALLY want one-and that would be the key word-ONE :) I deleted your extra post-just remember, if that happens, hit the EDIT word at the top of that post, then click to mark the DELETE box and then submit it and it will remove the extra post. Hope you don't mind:) Hmmm, not sure why you weren't able to view the card-I haven't heard anyone else having trouble. Oh well, just was wishing all a MERRY XMAS!

CAROL, you are more than welcomed to come back and join us when yo are ready!:D I vaguely remember you visiting the board a few times, and you sure are right, it's been about a year. As you can see, we still have a great group of gals on our boards and we're thrilled you've decided to join us again. Please, don't hesitate to ask questions-we're here to help in whatever way we can. The BIO BOARD you were on is REALLY old. We have another one that we've kept sorta updated since then, but I am going to start a new board on the NEW YEAR, so when that gets posted, I hope you will post your BIO on that BIO BOARD with the rest of the clan:) Love your New Years Resolution!!!

Well gals, time for me to go. I'll check in with you all later when I get on here to start the new board for next week.

Again, for those of you who may not get on the board between now and Tuesday, I want to wish all of you who celebrate Xmas a MERRY XMAS!!!!

HidieHo all!!

Well, I had a most profitable day!! Went to the Palace Casino in Biloxi, bought $2 roll nickels, spent 1.90 of them and won 40.60! I am not a gambler, only went to meet old friend of dd's from NM, but did not want to be bored just watching others.

Maybe I'll have to try again. Tomorrow night we're going to Bay St Louis for buffet, might just have to try my luck there!!!

We did have a good time. I had a Rueben sandwich, just pastrami, cheese, sauerkraut on rye, mustard. It was good. Rye wasn't SF, but was the lesser of all the evils on menu of the little deli counter.

Would you believe part of our tribe is at the mall tonight? They are crazy as far as I'm concerned!!! DS, dil's dad and I stayed home. We're the sensible ones.....lazy?....old?.........NO SENSIBLE!

Carol - The prodigal daughter is always welcomed back!!!

THUNDER - Hope all is well with your Mom and dd.

DEB - Know you are not encouraging me to cheat! So far so good, but I swear I hear a little gingerbready voice when I go in the kitchen calling my name!!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!!!

Take care, sef
