Default I'm hungry

Hello all. I'm Shanell and am new to SBD. I have never tried it before. Right now I am starving. I ate quite a bit for dinner, but it hasn't helped. What can I eat that is filling and that will stop these hunger pains. I did join the gym today though.

Welcome to the beach. You don't want to be hungry on ph 1. You can snack on veggies and hummus, or string cheese, have you had your dairy today. Drink water. SF jello, peanut butter cup (recipie is in the recipie section ) Those are a few suggestions hope they help.

Oh girl I feel your pain!!!! I can eat a good dinner and like an hour later I want food again! Maybe just try a big glass of ice water and wait about 20 min. If that doesn't help maybe something high in fiber and protein that would maybe give you a more full feeling-personally I like peanut butter on celery to snack on. HANG IN THERE GIRL!

Nellie LC has great suggestions! Why don't you post what you ate today and maybe we can help you. I am not an expert at looking at that, but there are several gals on the boards that will see just what you are missing if anything.

Today so far I've had scrambled eggs with green pepper and a glass of milk, string cheese, a salad w/ cheese and dressing, cucumbers, sf jello, mashed cauliflower with some ground sirloin (which was very good for throwing something together, just not filling enough), then 2 small fudge pops, and some cashews, and about 6 glasses of water all day. My hardest thing is that veggies are awesome and I really like them, they just don't fill me up much. Thanks for all the advice. I'll have to go to the store to get some stuff to try the PB cups.

add some more dairy (yogurt)
add some nuts
add some beans and/or hummus with veggies
seems like all you had for lunch was salad with cheese
did you have good fats with your meals? those help fill you up

if you are hungry snack on hard boiled eggs or string cheese or laughing cow cheese and veggies

As long as it's natural peanut butter.

Nellie - Aim for 4 1/2 cups of veggies a day. That will help fill you up. I like to use black beans on stuff and that is filling too. I mixed a can of black beans with a can of diced tomatoes and a bit of chipotle pepper and melted some cheese on top and got several lunches out of that this weekend. That is filling. Salads alone never fill me up.

Welcome to the board! You've gotten some great advice, so I won't repeat it, but I wanted to say that it's great to have you here!
