JULY Points Challenge (This has NOTHING to do with WW)
JULY CHALLENGE...Summertime! Are you were you want to be? Accomplishing your goals? Do you need some help? How about a challenge to help keep us on the straight and narrow for the next month? It's somewhere to check in...some friendly competition. Come join us for our monthly challenge!!
Since this is a monthly challenge, it will start on the 1st and the day of the month is the day of the challenge. You need to post your points on a daily basis (or whenever you can). Simply reply to this post and then edit that post as you add points (no columns please). That way you always know where you are and so do I! I will calculate and post the totals, on a weekly basis.
For those of you who have NO IDEA what I am talking about - here are the details. Sometimes we work our hardest when we are held accountable. So I challenge you to do your very best for the month and we'll see who wins!!
Here is how it's going to go. Starting tomorrow, JULY 1, 2007. We will try to do the 3 things that work. Food, water & exercise. You decide what your food plan is, how much water you want to drink and how much exercise you want to get every day. Every day you have the opportunity to earn 4 points.
2 point for sticking with your food plan (no splitting points here, you either stuck to your plan or you didn't)
1 point for drinking the amount of water you decided on
1 point for getting some exercise. (If you don't exercise on a given day - you DO NOT get a point for exercise - even if you planned it that way)
Post here with how many points you've earned for a given day, and I will keep track. We'll see who's did the best for the month.
This is a very cool way to keep on track, because even if you don't do so great on food, you might still get in your water and exercise to earn the points!
Who's ready for a challenge???? It starts TOMORROW!!!!
Thanks for offering this! I am IN!!!!

Exercise - at least 30 minutes/day, with most days 90 minutes or more
Water - at least 60 ounces/day
Food - under 1200 calories and 100 calories or less of low/non-nutritious food (may try Fat Smash, so may alter this to be consistent with Fat Smash recommendations)
7/1 - 4 pts.
Fasted most of today, as per religion, so calories abnormally low. Ran 2.5 miles in the a.m. and 3 miles in the p.m. Drank 120 ounces of water.
7/2 - 4 pts.
Am not increasing my calories enough, but working on it. Swam 20 min, walked 90 minutes. (Don't know if I would have walked if not for the challenge. Thanks, Sandi.) Water - 80 ounces.
7/3 - 4 pts.
Really hungry all day, so in my recommended calorie range. Wimpy workouts, though. Swam 20 minutes, Walked 60 minutes. Meant to run, but just couldn't get very far. Maybe I need to tweak something. Water - 140 ounces - very thirsty for some reason.

This is my first challenge, so I'm a little nervous. But I think this is really going to keep me on track. I have been hitting a plateau for the past 2 weeks, and it's driving me bonkers. I'd really like to get through it, and start moving down. Sooo, here goes!
Food: under 2000 calories
Water: 48 oz minimum (start with that, work my way up...otherwise I'm going to pee 500 times a day)
Exercise: 30min, 4 times a week, walking and/or DDR
[QUOTE=LaurieDawn;1754446]I wanted to join in for June, but just never did it. I need this, though, so thank you for continuing to offer it, Sandi. Like Cheryl, I'm quite competitive, and I've been watching her do really well. Unless someone came up from behind, I believe that she was the June winner. So, Cheryl, you are now in my sites!
Lol , thanks I think. I would be happy just to be in the upper 5, winning isn't everything, but it is nice once in a while.
