Weight Loss Surgery - Milk disturbs me now at 4years out

I had the RNY over 4 years ago and have usually had digestion problems with high fats, sugar alcohols, rarely sugars, and not much else.

I have taken notice that I go through mild dumping - dizziness, sleepiness, and upset tummy - after a high or straight milk consumption such as milk in cereal, glass of milk, icecream..... I do okay with cheese products and milk in recipies. What gives?

It is skim milk so it is not the fat in it and sugar in most forms doesn't bother me. Sugar alcohol bothers me more than regular sugars.:?:

Any ideas on why this would happen to me now?

I'm not sure...but just wanted to let you know that I'm like that too. I'll be 3 years out RNY in August and I can't do milk, ice cream, sugar, fat, or sugar alcohols...I'm a dumper. My weakness though are carbs...tortillas, ritz crackers...although I can't eat a lot of them...I can if I graze...

Good luck to you and congrats on your weight loss!

might be lactose intolerance. lots of us get it at some point after the surgery.
