I just started an old exchange Plan called the Freedom Plan which Weight Watchers had back in the 1990's. I'm feeling good everyday and not hungry or feeling sick. I calculated the calories for the day and they come to 2030 calories/day.
I've lost 6 1/2 pounds since Tuesday effortlessly! I am shocked and amazed.
Would you please briefly describe how it differs from todays program? I have done WW in the last three years and had good results at first - now I am not losing anything on it.
i believe its the one that is a bit reminiscent of the diabetic association's plan, with exchanges, so you get x number of milk exchanges, protein, starch, veggie etc. I think my mom did that yrs ago, maybe 15 years ago?
That may not be alot for her depending on her starting weight and her activity level. If it's working for you, Nusrchef, I stay stick with it! Eat as much as your body will allow you to and still lose the weight. It will be easier to reduce if you have a higher starting point!
Well, my weight is high but I'm eating based on the range for my weight. I am on the max and was fortunate enough to be able to calculate it back in calories. I also don't eat any junk food especially right now. Just real food and so far, so good.
On Tuesday I'll know what has happened since this is only week one. It's kind of fun breaking out of that WW Flex and Core mode if you do WW. A 2030 cal diet is freeing, it allows a person like me to eat properly but not be hungry otherwise I know I would have a set back.
I lose weight (slowly!) on a 2000 calorie diet, and I'm smaller than NurseChef. It makes sense to me that she would lose on that amount. Everybody's different, and size and activity level can make a big difference.
