Need breakfast and lunch ideas?
Ok so I was unsure where to put this. I need some quick easy low cal breakfast and lunch ideas. I am not normally much of a breakfast person. But when I do eat I don't really like cereal so I am unsure what else to try. What about something like eggs (maybe pre-boiled the night before).
Same for lunch quick and low cal. Like today for lunch I had 1/2 a can (3oz) of tuna (light packed in water no salt). So what else could I try.
Some ideas for me?

I eat Eggos for breakfast nearly every day - I eat the Eggo Plus version, in Blueberry: 160 calories for two. Yummy, filling, low fat - live in the freezer.
My lunch suggestions probably won't help you, as I tend to make lunch my largest meal of the day and then have a smaller dinner.

My favorite breakfast thing is Eggo Nutrigrain Blueberry Waffles. I like them plain.. but you could add an organic fruit spread or natural peanut butter. A serving is 2, and only 160 calories. I like flat out wraps for lunch with lean turkey and cheese, lots of veggies, and 1 Tbsp. of Italian Dressing. 1/2 can of tuna doesn't sound like much of a lunch, honestly. If you like tuna, try it in wraps or whole grain pitas and add in lots of veggies, or at least add some whole grain crackers with it and maybe some cheese and fruit.

I also have a hard time with breakfast foods. I usually have a slimfast. But I have been meaning to try the veggies bites, I have had them for lunch before but never for breakfast but they are yummy you can find them in the freezer section with the other veggie foods.

I like yogurt with berries mixed in for breakfast. For lunch, I have soup (Healthy Choice has some good ones that are low in sodium) if I want something low-cal and add a side of raw veggies.

my breakfast is almost always fiber one cereal with milk, plus a piece of whole wheat toast or one waffle (either eggo or kashi) with apple butter. Apple butter is so good! If you haven't tried it, you should.
For lunch, let met think...
- I make my own "fajita" with a pita, salsa, some chicken, and some cheese
- Amy's Kitchen Spinach Feta Sandwiches or Snacks.. so good!
- Lean Cuisine french bread pizza
- Pita with tuna in it (tuna mixed with light mayo & celery)
- "soup on hand" soups along with crackers or pita bread
- leftovers from previous dinners
I'll let you know if I think of any more!

I usually eat Oatmeal (which is very filling and good for you) and some kind of fruit or fat free yogurt.
For lunch- One of my favorite lunches is Tilapia. You can buy a big box of tilapia from Walmart for like 10 dollars and I think there is probably 10-15 tilapia's in there. That is one if the lowest calorie fish out there...and it's soo tasty especially in some fat free italian dressing..

With the oatmeal do you use instant (the kind you just open the little bag, add milk and pop in microwave) or old fashioned kind?

I know this wasn't directed to me, but...
All oatmeal is a whole grain, even instant--it's just sliced thinner so it cooks faster--so it's relatively good for you. There are lots of brands that make healthier instant oatmeals now (like Kashi and some versions by Quaker). The things that make it not-so-good are lots of added sugars like high fructose corn syrup and whatnot. Or, if you want to cook it from scratch, you can do that, too, and just store in the fridge and nuke it in the morning.
I have done both instant and slow-cooking oatmeal. I also tried steel cut oats because those are supposed to be the best kind of oatmeal for you health-wise, but I just couldn't stand the texture.

You don't have to eat "breakfast foods" for breakfast. I eat whatever I feel like, sometimes it's a sandwich, sometimes a cup of soup, sometimes it is breakfast food though in which case I usually have an egg white with a slice of low fat cheese on a whole grain english muffin. I've been on a particular kick lately of having a toasted whole grain english muffin spread with peanut butter and sliced banana on top, yummy!

On the oatmeal subject, you don't have to buy the "instant in a packet" oatmeal. You can buy "1-minute Quick Oats" which come in the cylinders like normal oatmeal. They cook in about a minute in the microwave and cost less than the packets.

My new favorite for breakfast is an egg & avocado muffin
Crack one egg into a bowl, cover with wrap and throw in the microwave for one minute.
Meanwhile split and toast one wholegrain muffin and spread with a little avocado
Throw the egg on (usually exactly the right size for the muffin and "poached" to perfection" and I'll somtimes add a squirt of bbq or tomato sauce.
Mmmmm...
All done in under 3 minutes!
