when i eat wheat or corn my head stuffs up and i get very very sleepy right away... comatose sleepy... i feel so much better when I avoid them. I also noticed that i lose weight better... albeit still VERY VERY slowly...
i avoid wheat so I can a. breathe and b. stay awake...
this does not mean I avoid starches and grains however. I have oatmeal every morning (which does not make me stuffy or sleepy) and i have sweet potatoes or quinoa several times a week as an evening starch/grain.
while some folks count carrots and sugar snap peas as starchy veggies I do not... and i eat them every day....
