Just wondering. Between my work hours and my centers hours the best time for me to weigh in is 1:30 PM. I try to eat a normal breakfast, have a snack at 10:00 AM and then refuse to eat or drink anything until after weigh in. Anyone else to this kind of thing to try and "beat" the scale or am I just weird:dizzy: Would love to hear that I'm not alone!

I have to drive 105 miles to get to my center so I head out early in the morning because I refuse to eat anything, and only allow myself a little bit of water or coffee. I am not a morning person at all, but I make myself get up earlier to go before class so that I can eat before I go learn.

On the other hand, I only weigh one time per week. I don't get on my home scale at all because I would go nuts stressing out over a tiny gain from day to day.

I do the same thing weigh in once a week at home and I make sure not to eat first and I go pee like that is going to help lol

You're absolutely not alone on this one, Kim. I WI at home now, but when I did go to the COD, I would not have anything at all until lunch time when I would weigh in...and minimal water.

BTW...I just love your avatar...that is a really neat picture!!!

I have no choice but to weigh in after work. COD opens at 9, I'm at work at 5, obviously I've eaten breakfast and a snack by 9 am.

Otherwise I try not to eat 90 minutes before weigh in, but weigh in at the same time every week. Years ago when I was on WW, the leader came right out and said that as long as you're weighing in at a consistent time with consistent circumstances the scale will be consistent. That's how I look at it. I alwasy weigh in about 2 hours after lunch on a Tuesday, thus the scale will be consistent from week to week.

I moved my WI to the morning, and just arrive late for work on those days. I don't eat first, nothing to drink, and I ALWAYS pee when I get to the COD...lol.

Does anyone know approx. how many lbs. can be added by weighing in the eveining? I am a teacher....enough said. I usually leave for work at 7...then leave work at 4:30 to hit the gym so I weigh in at about 6ish. Which is really late! This also causes a problem with me for dinner....always eat so late. Maybe I will post on the meal thread for ideas for "quick" carry-with-you dinner meals.

Dutchess - I don't know for sure but when I have had to go after work rather than before it can be up as much as 4 lbs from my morning at home weight (which is within a half lb of the center scale).

JD - I have to go after work myself as I start work at 6 in the morning and COD doesn't open until 9. I have found that my weight at WI will vary from 3 to 5 lbs from my morning at home weight and I have checked my scale at home after WI and it is right on with the scale at COD. So I have found that what I have to do is be consistent with the time I weigh in.

I bring a pair of little shorts in my purse, since I refuse to weigh in heavy pants. Also, I insist on peeing first. Of course, you may consider removing rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, earrings, shaving your legs, trimming your hair, plucking your eyebrows, and removing your nail polish, LOL.

LoL! I have moved my WI to the morning. My COD just says as long as it is consistent (wearing similar clothes, coming in after eating similar amounts, BMs etc). Last time I was there she said the difference can be up to 6lbs. Mostly around 3-4!

You know, the first few days of my TOM can put me up 5-6 lbs, easily. Damn all of this womanly stuff!

Maybe it would be better to go into WW on a day off and walk into a morning meeting. Your weight is going to be all over the place.

One of the counsellors at my COD told me that they have one client that will check to see that there are no men in the waiting room, then will strip down to nothing but her underwear before she steps on the scale - the WI room at my COD is adjacent to the waiting room with nothing but a short wall between the two.

Some of the girls here used to have COD's that had teeny paper robes to change into to weigh, but then discontinued the practice.

I'm told at my COD that there's one lady who comes in and pees, takes off everything but her clothes, and even blows her nose!! That last part cracks me up! How much snot would you have to have for it to show up on the scale?!??!

I had WI yesterday afternoon...and my home scale was right on the money this time! 181! I started at 184 last Thursday so I think that is okay. :D

This has been a fun thread! Thanks for all your replys. I'm still LOL at the blowing the nose thing! (Have to admit I've gone as far as taking off my wedding ring, it's pretty big! LOL)

Have a great day everyone!

I concur with the rest of the gang....weigh in as soon as you can, go to the bathroom, wear thin clothing and say your prayers! Seriously, I tried weighing in the afternoon and my weight is all over the place. Sometimes up 3-4lbs...so it's only morning weigh ins for me!

Hmmm, say your prayers, I forgot about that one. Thanks Debbie!

I also find myself standing very still, thinking "light", and exhaling completely...okay, maybe a little wierd...I haven't started blowing my nose...yet:)

I always work out before hand, as I can lose up to 3 pounds just by sweating it off... Also on days when hot lemon water is not cutting it, a few minutes in the sauna can erase a bad salt day. I have to lay off that chicken teriyaki.. I really do...
