Hi everyone, I am new to the boards! I just joined the medical weight loss clinic yesterday and am starting the plan 2morrow. I thought it would be great to start a "support thread" type thing for it....anyone interested?

If anyone knows of anyone/has had success with it, please let me know! I could use all the encouragement I could get Thanks!

Hi I searched the forum and can't find any threads about a program called "Medical Weight Loss Clinic", so it doesn't look like we have any members on it. Does it go by any other name? Is it a national service?

Thats the problem, it's not a national service- it's a michigan thing, so it's hard to find online support but I would really appreciate it

what kind of plan do they use? I am joining Aultman hospitals weight management program where you start out on a high protein liquid diet for about 16 weeks then the next phase you add food back and the last stage you go back to eating again they teach you how to eat properly if your plan is similiar i would be happy to be your buddy

is anyone using the MWLC (Medical Weight Loss Clinic) in Michigan? I've been doing it for a couple of months.
Have lost 4 pounds. ;-(

someone PM'd me to ask about this, but I am not allowed to PM so couldn't answer. it is a low carb, low calorie diet. You have to eat three of their protein supplements per day, which adds $30+/wk to the cost of the program. You have to weigh in at least three times a week, so if you live very close by or have lots of free time it's good. They say that you should be losing around 3# per week. I followed it to the letter for eight weeks and lost four pounds, so I am going to go back to natural, organics and increase my protein and exercise.

re mwlc clinic yes it is a michigan thing.. im looking for anyone who has been through the whole plan.. i was on their plan #4 and lost 30lbs in 3 months.. and then fell off the wagon.. i started back up with the paperwork i started with and lost the weight again.. but was looking for more info on the mantaince plan befor i went back in to see the clinic

by the way.. i never bought any of the nutrients or food they tried to sell me and i still lost the weight...
