Weight Loss Surgery - Lap Band Surgery

I'm considering having the Lap Band surgery done. I weight 304 and just tired of being fat. I have pre existing health conditions i.e. ulcerative colitis which resulted in having my colon removed in 2003. U/C continues to cause me problems, joint pain is a common thing with U/C.
My consult is in June. Anybody have WLS w/o a colon? And, what effects of the surgery will it have on me passing food through my ileostomy? I know to let my doctors know all my health problems as well.

I have the lapband but don't know how to answer your question. I'm sure when you talk to the surgeon he will have those answers for you. Good luck and please let us know how your consult goes.
