Support Groups - Every-Day 21-Day Challenge -- Stand up and be counted!!

Okay, everyone, as is the tradition, I start a new thread when I personally start a new challenge.

Below is a short explanation of how this challenge works so all you newcomers can take a look and decide if you're game or not! I hope you are! Hop aboard and enjoy the ride. We've got a great bunch of supportive people, so I hope you'll give us a try. A lot of people try for a while and then disappear.. I hope some of you will keep trying. There is NO shame in starting over. Remember, it's not over till you give up. And our motto around here is:

NEVER GIVE UP!!...Just start OVER!!

EXPLANATION AND RULES:

It works like this: you decide you'll do something for 21 days straight, every single day, so keep it doable. Then you count ....one through 21.....and if you flub it, you MUST go back to zero and start over again. Everyone will be on different days. You can start anytime. At the beginning of the challenge you declare what level it is -- Level 1, 2, or 3. Level 1 means you feel it's a relatively easy challenge for you and means you only give yourself ONE pause day (see explanation of pause days below). Level 2 would give you two pause days and so on...
And taking NO pause days is what I'm going to call "aceing a challenge," as in "I'm aiming on aceing this one!" Yowzah!! :cb:

With a pause day you pause in your counting and continue the next day with the number you left off with. Pause days are NOT substitutes for days, i.e. Day 12 -- Day 13 -- Pause Day -- Day 14..... I suggest taking a pause day late in the game (better to go back to Day 1 early on) if you need a break or screw up when you're well into the challenge, meaning, when you're on Day 15 or something like that.

In any case, the trick is to keep going. The momentum builds and it's great incentive to stick to your guns, cause if you don't.........back to START you go. :( And the really great thing about this challenge is that you are forming new habits that will wipe out the old! AND, you get to do it with a great bunch of really supportive people to whom you are accountable! :grouphug:

THREAD GUIDELINES:

In the interest of maintaining structure, a sense of solidarity and facilitating support I ask anyone who wishes to join this thread to please strive to follow the following guidelines while participating in this challenge and in posting.

1. Although this is a fabulous support group, the focus is to be on your CHALLENGE/S and/or other people's challenge/s AND weight loss, whether your challenge is about it or not. Please keep the challenge a priority, although we welcome chattiness! This means tell us what day you're on when you post and it's a good idea to make regular mention of just what your challenge is. This an action-based thread. Our members are ON a challenge, RESTARTING a challenge, or just in between and looking to start up again REAL SOON. ;) We also welcome posts from admirers, encouragers, and old friends!

2. Please refrain from posting food logs or recipes, except where you are really looking for help and advice on your eating. If journaling is your challenge, please keep the journaling off the thread and in a notebook or blog and just tell us if you've done what you set out to do. We have ALL types of dieters here, low-carb, high-carb, low-fat, high-fat, vegetarians, meat-lovers...please use simple mentions if you have something you want to share and then links and/or private messages to do so.

3. Please do NOT go into glowing accounts of any slipups, food indulgences or binges, what we here call "food porn." Simple mentions are fine, but use of smilies :censored: :tape: etc. as substitutes where possible is encouraged.

4. Please keep this a secular thread. Of course, passing references to your beliefs, a bit of introduction about your beliefs, brief faith-related words of encouragement are fine.

5. Please show support, support, support! This is key. :grouphug: You can waffle on about yourself but please, at least occasionally, come up and look around at others and what they are doing and MENTION it with words of encouragement and/or praise or sympathy. We understand "busy," poor computer connections, and bouts of self-pity and life problems where the focus turns to "me" and dealing with those problems, but these should be temporary, not a habit! ('cept in the computer case.)

In conclusion, let me say, the above are just that, GUIDELINES. Please realize that these guidelines have been added in an attempt to keep this a supportive and beneficial thread, at the LEAST, to those who need it MOST, those for whom weight loss is the hardest and, more often than not, the most crucial as well as for those who still, perhaps despite great success, know all too well that the road they walk will always be a slippery one. :^:

The guidelines are also meant to cultivate an atmosphere of consideration and concern for ALL, not individually, but AS A GROUP.

Well, all's said. Please join us!!

CRUNCH challenge -- Day 0 completed, 3 pauses left
NO SUGAR challenge -- Day 11 completed, no pauses left
NO ALCOHOL challenge -- Day 0 completed, 3 pauses left
CLEANING challenge -- Day 0 completed, 3 pauses left

I am starting a new thread because....

In the interest of truth, I will not tell a lie... I have to say that I messed up royally yesterday! With no pauses left, I blew all my challenges. The only one I had a pause on was sugar so that is still going. Life got in the way....I am starting over. I feel very disappointed in myself... :(

jolly -- I am here. You're doing so well, despite all the hardships. Continued power to you!

Day 5, 6 & 7 - Exercise 30 minutes everyday - good - 3 pauses left

Hi Red and Jolly!

Ok, got myself caught up. Out of the 3 days I did take 1 pause on the utensil challenge which puts me at day 4 today. The rest of my challenges were good.

Had a few busy, crazy days around here but today should be my last one for now. Today is my oldest sons birthday, he is 16 years old! Hard for me to believe. Anyway, gotta run. Lots to do!

Thanks for the encouragement mez! Nice of you to pop in. Hope you are well.

Day 8 walking/exercise, Day 2 no beer.
Not much else to report. Waiting on some more blood tests but I should start on meds by the week-end. Hopefully it makes a difference, but I won't be suprised if it doesn't.

Sorry about your royal mess up. Here, have my crown...:queen:
But just like Mez said, never give up!!!

I've decided to remove that extra ticker since there's no way I'm gonna lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks.

There, was I counted???

Hi y'all. Glad to see everyone. Mez, pop in more. DJ, happy B'day to your son. Now, you don't type old enough to have a 16 year old son :; Apple, hope all goes well with the tests.

Red - what can I say? Congrats on keeping up the sugar challenge. You can, and WILL do your other challenges. I know you will.

I met both of my challenges today. I almost talked myself out of getting to the gym this morning, but I went anyway. And did the dreaded weights. I run tomorrow. Hopefully the new shoes will help.

Later gaters. Take care of yourselves - you are all the best!!

Good morning. I have to report a pause for today in following my workout plan. I was supposed to jog 3 miles. I only did two - telling myself it was because I was trying out the new shoes. But my head just wasn't in the game. I ended up walking the last 3 blocks again, because in my mind I had already given up. I know part of it is that I am making bad eating choices and not fueling my body right. Sigh.

Everyone else, have a great day!

Day 4 - Put fork/spoon down between each bite 90% of the time - good - 2 pauses left
Day 9 - Half of my dinner plate is filled with vegies which I will eat first - (this is dinner only) - pause - 2 pauses left
Day 8 - Exercise 30 minutes everyday - good - 3 pauses left

Well, had to take 1 pause on the vegies at dinner. Because it was my sons birthday, he got to chose our meal and it wasn't the healthiest. I could have made a side salad to make my challenge work, but we got home so late from playing disc golf that I just didn't feel like doing it.

Jolly - Sorry about that pause, but, hey, you did get in 2 miles! That means that you accomplished something good for yourself even if you didn't do the whole 3 miles.
And yes, I am old enough to have a 16 year old, although I don't feel that old! I like to think having these 3 boys of mine helps to keep me young!

Red - Sorry to hear you had to start over on those challenges, but you're doing awesome on the sugar challenge! To me, that would be the hardest one of all! It's also the one that I really need to tackle myself, but am too scared to do it. Good job!

Apple - Good job on those challenges. Hope they get those meds figured out for you soon. If your thyroid levels are off a ways, you will definitely notice a difference! Not immediately, but within a couple of weeks at least.

Hi Mez! Hope all is well.

Have a great day all!

Helloooooo everyone. OK. So this was a bad day. Didn't exercise. Didn't follow menu. The ONLY good thing I have to say is that I did not stop for food porn on the way home. YIKES.

So tomorrow, I will start the exercise challenge and the follow menu challenge over. But, I am on day 10 of my posting with 3 pauses left.

I am just so sick of myself right now. As the song goes "My give a damn's busted!"

Well, I knew taking 2 pauses in a row would spell my doom. I had to restart. I have finished day 2 of my exercise ( 1/2 of at least walking, more strenuous activity may be substituted) My bro is coming over for dinner so no beer will start another day....
Everyone who recently took a pause, it's OK. Thats what they are there for. At least you didn't have to start over.;)
Still no meds for me. I'm really suprised the Doctor hasn't called about it. I don't want to be annoying so I haven't called myself. If I don't hear by noon tomorrow I'm calling. I need to move forward with this, otherwise it's just ANOTHER stress...

Daily posting, day 11 - 3 pauses left
Follow workout plan, day 1 - 3 pauses left
Follow menu, day 1 - 3 pauses left

I also need a pat on the back. I was really craving something not healthy and not on the menu for lunch. I needed to go run some errands for work, and was already figuring out how I could fit swinging by and picking it up while I was out. Instead, I ate the healthy lunch I packed BEFORE I did my errands. I small step.

I just lost my first post, so here is a shortened vent for the morning (lucky you :;) ) I woke up and was going to do my run with MUCH ENTHUSIASM. AND, I just saw your post. Congrats on the weight workout!!!! I got to the gym yesterday and it felt soooo good! You may get to like them yet! ;)

dj -- You are doing well too....the utensil challenge is tough, but maybe you're over the worst of it. It sounds like it's mostly about forgetting, which is great in itself...that you're intending to do it, but simply forget rather than not wanting to do it and just shirking. You must be feeling good with all the vegetables and exercise. Keep up the good work! :spin:

Made it through on the utensil challenge and just squeeked by on the exercise one. I did exercise, I just kept getting interrupted! Finally, the 4th time someone interrupted me, I gave up. Luckily the dvd player said I had gone 33 minutes into my workout!

Red - Sorry about those challenges, but the ones that you are keeping are good ones. That no sugar challenge of yours would scare me! I don't know how you do it since sugar is everywhere!

Yes, I really do want to slow down my eating, hence the utensil challenge. It's funny, breakfast I do really well putting the darn thing down. Lunch is usually good too, it's dinner though that gets me! Maybe because that's the one meal we all sit down to together and I get distracted? Oh well, I'm making some progess!

Good morning. I just had to come on and share. Again this morning I almost talked myself out of working out. So many excuses came to mind, and even thinking I could stay on plan by doing the yoga workout I missed earlier this week . . . But, eventually common sense prevailed, and I went out to do my jog. I did go with the shorter distance (I have started my half marathon training program, and have the choice of two distances), but was able to do the full 2 miles without walking. Slow, but I did it. Yeah.

Red, I don't think I will ever LIKE doing weights, but like DJ, I LOVE the results. I know I loose weight faster when I do weights. So, I must get my rear in gear and do more of them.

Keep up the good work everyone, and have a super day

I know exactly what you mean about doing the weights for the results. I wish I liked them better but they're the one thing that I have to force myself to do.

Wondersha - Hope you're feeling better today! As for the exercise, when I first started exercising I had to force myself to do it and it wasn't easy at the size I was, but now I'm hooked. I can't say everyone will become hooked on working out, but many people do. You never know, you might be one too! Just start slow and easy, and don't add on too much too soon.

5) Daily crunches and pushups. (I hate this one as much as weights, REd, but it will get me off the couch and moving at night)

Morning all. I just had to come in and report, I did my 3 miles this morning without any walking breaks. Hurray. And i had almost talked myself out of running again. But I did it!

I have never been to the Bahamas either, DJ. After going to Vegas for my step-brother's wedding, I discovered that a true vacation might be a good thing, vs. just taking stay at home mental health days. So my friend and I booked this short cruise.

Have a wonderful day all. I will check in tonight

Hello Everyone! I'm off on a trip for two weeks myself. Heading Stateside! First time in six years. Wonder if they'll let me in...I plan to continue the crunch challenge. And I would like to keep a record of all food eaten, all things drunk and all expenses. How's that for an ambitious challenge while traveling? :^: Still, I think if I don't I'll go hogwild, never a good thing. I'm not putting any limits on things. I just want to be able to look back and say, ha! no wonder you are the way you are now! I may not be able to get to a computer that often. Hey Red - that is awesome! I am sure you will do a great job with your challenges while you are gone. Where are you going in the states??

DJ, I can't wait for my real vacation. I can't believe I am doing it.

well, I just did my crunches and push ups, so all challenges were met for today. I even am kind of proud of myself. My menu called for a freebee day today. I was not a martyr, but did show some restraint at my niece and nephew's birthday party. And, when I got home tonight, I did not soothe my "long car ride and multiple work issue" stress with anything I should be ashamed of.

Hurray for today! Have a good night all

Wondersha - no crawling. Just hop back on the wagon - we are all pulling you back up. You can make better choices, I know it :)

Hey Happy  It's great to hear from you. You are right. My family was never big on vacations. We rented a cabin one summer. I took a couple trips with church and high school. A lot of hobbying vacations to dog or horse shows. But the first "real" vacation I took was in February to Vegas for my brother's wedding. That is what made me realize the benefits of taking one.

Red, if you are getting a chance to read, thinking of you, and hope you are having a wonderful vacation.

Day 17, daily posting - 3 pauses left
Day 7, following menu AND following workout plan - 3 pauses left
Day 2, daily crunch and pushups - 3 pauses left. Did them after my first post.

Feeling good here. Actually reaching for the fresh stuff. I really do need to figure out how to stop the grazing at work though. Even if it is healthier choices, I want to stop the mindless eating.

I also have come to a huge decision. Throwing aside all reason, common sense, and sanity, I am going to try to get into law school. :fr: Wish me luck.

have a great night all.

OK. It is now almost 3 hours after I originally posted. I can't sleep. Part of it is that it is hot. I can't sleep when it is hot. Most of it though, is that my brain can't shut down about grad school. I bought two LSAT prep books on Amazon. I just can't settle down and sleep, no matter how much yawning I do. Yikes. I will be a wreck tomorrow, that's for sure.

Day 18 & 19 - Exercise 30 minutes everyday - good - 3 pauses left

Yep, starting over on the utensil challenge and took a pause on the 1/2 plate of vegies challenge.

Wondersha - I agree with Jolly, no crawling back! I don't know how many challenges I have blown, I just know that in the long run, I'm making progress.

Jolly - Wow, when you have news, you make it big don't you?!?! I think it sounds great! I think that common sense says that if you have a dream, go for it. It would be insane not to!

As usual, I haven't been able to stick to my challenges. And with DH going in for his other hip surgery, it will be hard to do any....lame lame I know. I will start an exercise challenge. Actually, I have already started one, I went to the gym today and that makes day 2 done. 2 pauses allowed.

So, here's how it stands:

Went to the pool for the first time today. I really admire women who are comfortable with their bodies. *sigh*. I also really want a nicer swim suit, right now I just wear surf shorts and a tankini top. At first I started wearing the shorts to cover up the fat, I do it now more so because I don't have to worry about hair removal. Lame, yes. I want to get a real suit, but I won't until I lose 10 pounds.:beach: I guess that can be my "reward". OOO you all are laughing again. I can hear you.

Apple - You may hear us laughing, but know that we're laughing with you, not at you! ;) Kind of the "been there, done that, and probably still doing it" kind of thing. Keep up the good work on your exercise!

Jolly - Sorry you've had a rough one but you've been making progress. Hope you have a better day today.

Red - Hope your trip is going well! By the way, cow tipping is one of those things bored people who live near cows laugh about doing. You supposedly go out at night when the cow is sleeping and "tip" them over. Most often it's bored teens who dare each other to go try it. Even though I grew up in ranching country, I can't say I ever tried it. I do remember my friends trying to send me on a snipe hunt though!

Wow it’s been around a year now from when I first came to the 21 day challenge! Seeing a few familiar names!! So I’m officially back, after yo-yoing and having very up and down year emotionally, health wise and life wise. Back up to where I started last year but it is time for a change. I realized that fitday and 3FC were what kept me in line, especially 21 day challenges, seeing little goals turn into bigger ones! Looks like many of you have had quite the success while I was gone!! I’ve finally got some time to kick back into gear as my summer classes are wrapping up and I am just working part time, here goes nothing!

Challenges:
2000 Calorie limit – Day 0 – Level 3
30 of any kind of exercise – Day 0 – Level 3

I know if can stay motivated and on top of calories if I just take the time to pay attention and log it, just gotta stay motivated. I am back into the gym as well and hope to go 4-5 times a week, the problem was on my off days I’d just sit around… time to get moving! Alright ladies! Glad to be back and hope you will join me once again on this journey!

I'm going to start counting calories again but I'm not going to put a calorie limit in my challenge. I think I will borrow what Jolly does and say "follow eating plan". So, here we go......

At least 1/2 plate vegies at dinner which I eat first - level 3
Put utensil down between bites - level 3

Hey all. Restarted my challenges today. I decided to leave off the soda challenge. With how I have been feeling and everything that has been going on, right now a diet soda is a better idea than other things that might give me extra energy, etc.

So, here they are. All are level 3's

1) Daily posting
2) follow menu
3) follow workout plan
4) daily crunches and push ups

I did jog this morning. Considering it was the first time I worked out in a week :fr:, I did my two miles pretty well. I did walk two blocks in there, but managed to jog the last hilly block. Only problem was that I hadn't noticed my worn out jogging pants had lost their inner seams. Can y'all say "chaffing?" Yeah. I bought some more tonight.

My stress level is high. I have been reviewing the LSAT study guides. Not that I am not smart enough, but I really have to reframe my reading skills and thought processes. Yikes.

Jolly, I haven't gone over 3 miles myself, I don't feel like I have the time to. Maybe you should try a 10K. Back when I was in shape I would run 10Ks instead of 5Ks because I thought the 5K was too short, time wise anyway. I just have to report a quick, small, good decision. i was really tired and had talked myself out of working out this morning. I was going to pack my bag and go after work. Now first, this never happens. Half the time I forget to grab the bag I pack. And second, it would have thrown off all the other things i need to do today and tomorrow. But, I didn't care. Well, I'm back and getting ready to get out to go to the stable now. I have momentum! I took off some fat. It was exquisite to exercise so much. I really, really want to keep this going and not fall victim to work. I will be back later today with new challenges. Wish me luck all! :spin:

**************

Apple -- That's great with the challenges! Five days without beer may not sound like much to some, but I know how hard that is. It becomes such a habit, just like anything else, but more so, because of the alcohol's effects. My first night in the States and I hit the bar till its 2:30 a.m. closing time. Jet lag had a lot to do with that, but after that I didn't have one, so that makes nearly two weeks with no booze whatsoever. I have the momentum now and would like to stay off if for many reasons, but the biggest is simply the weight it stacks on. Good luck to you! :goodluck: Oh, and yeah, Apple, I just saw an earlier post by you and I want to share this quote I found in a magazine on my way back. It really spoke to me.

"If you focus on results,
you will never change.
If you focus on change,
you will get results."

I like this. I've always just focused on the results. When I saw them I was elated. When I didn't, I lost heart and blew it. Now that I have a little momentum, I'm going to try to use it to focus on change, changing my eating habits, exercise habits AND drinking habits!

jolly -- Thank you, I'm back and the trip went beautifully. Sure helps flying business class! Wow. Great stuff and it really helped that I had a handsome hunk of an Argentinian sitting next to me! The flight attendants were great too. Yum. Best of luck with your law school inquiries. Get cracking with your challenges! I'm joining you today!! :dancer:

dj -- Thanks! I am back safe and sound. I've only seen three of my cats and am worried about the one. I'm going out to see my horse now, but hear she's well.
You've got a lot of challenges there. I'll be joining you later in the day. Stay tuned!

Hey all. I just had to report that, with only a minimum of self arguement, I did my 2 mile jog this mroning. My ankle was locked up, so I did walk a half block, but started back up and jogged out the last long block.

Have a great day.

Day 6 - good - At least 1/2 plate vegies at dinner which I eat first - level 3
Day 6 - good - Put utensil down between bites - level 3
Day 5 - good - Only eat while sitting - 2 pauses left

Red - So glad to hear your other cat came home!

:welcome: Summerlove and Lalique! Glad to have you join us.

Jolly - Good job on the jog! Everytime I go out to walk, I think of you and try to convince myself to jog a little. I quit smoking over 5 months ago now, and breathing is easier, but still not as good as it could be. I'll keep trying though!

Apple - Good job on the beer! I'm thinking I should start a "no wine" challenge! I usually only have 1 glass a day, but it sure adds up in calories.

Day 13 exercise, Day 8 no beer. The beer hasn't been too hard since we don't have any. And I was able to choose an alternate beverage when we ate out. We like to eat at Brew Pubs, that makes it very difficult to avoid a cold one.....
DJ, don't worry about one of those days. I can't afford one for another week or I'll bomb on the exercise challenge....

Hey all, and a belated welcome to the newbies.

I agree with Apple, DJ - don't worry about "one of those days." Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and make a better choice next time. You can do it. Apple, you can do it with your exercise too. And good job picking something different when you went out. Red, huge KUDOS to you for doing well on vacation and just getting back. I would think the jet lag would be killer.

I met my challenges for the day. Day 2 down. I did eat out for lunch when it wasn't on my menu, however, I forgot my lunch this morning. And I did go for a healthy option, so . . .

Well. I've been thinking that I really have to cut back hugely on my eating. I honestly feel that I'm exercising enough that it should make a difference even with just normal eating but it's not. I'll have to come up with a plan I guess. I'm probably being impatient too and there's the frustration with weight loss, right? I also was hoping that my thyroid medication would help but it hasn't made a bit of difference, in ANY way, not just with my metabolism. My dosage probably needs to go up.

Hey all. Not such a great day. Work is really stressing me out today. I am waiting to hear if a client is going to be taken to a mental hospital by the police. And I have an angry client mother to deal with. Fun fun fun.

I am taking a pause on the eating today. Pure stress eating. I will also be taking a pause on my exercise tomorrow. I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to a conference tomorrow, and have been sleeping so crappy this week that I just can't get up the extra early I would need to, to work out. Sorry.

I'm here I'm here I promise!!
Sorry guys, checked out for a bit there... my has this been an emotional past week, finished moving, got my internet hooked up (oops), ended up going to my hometown for a few days due to a death in the family. Emotional rollercoaster lately.... but I'm ready to keep chugging along with challenges... sadly I'm pretty sure I've blown all mine this past week so in all honesty I'll start all over!

Challenges:
2000 Calorie limit – Day 0 – Level 3
30 minutes of any kind of exercise – Day 0 – Level 3
One pop a day limit - Day 0 - Level 3

I'm trying really hard to not buy pop on my shopping trips so I don't have it handy in the house... such a diet coke addict (of all things right?). Heading back into the gym tonight, hopefully for a good hour-hour and a half at least, actually excited to get back into it, working out for sure lowers my stress and gives me more energy... just need a kick in the butt to get there. Found a new friend who I think I'll hit the gym with a few times a week (trying to shed some pounds too). I'll be gone this weekend on a little trip, only a few hours away but hopefully I can get some relaxation and reading done, pull myself back together.

Love coming back to read about all your journeys and challenges! Keep it up!!

Ok, life has been so crazy that I don't know where I stand with my challenges. I'm pretty sure I have done ok on the vegie eating, but have no clue how I've done with the others.

That business we decided to start, has finally started and I've been working like crazy trying to get things going and learning things that I need to know. Now I'll be happy when the money starts coming in! I'm so tired of spending and not seeing anything coming back while trying to get things up and running. Luckily, that is now changing!

Anyway, I'm going to start over again, but first, I'm taking a break. I'll start again on Monday and probably keep it small for now. I know things will calm down again and I am so looking forward to that!

Bad news, I didn't get the exercise in yesterday so my challenge is OVER.:(
I knew using up my pauses so early would spell my doom. I would start it over, but I'm going away for a week during the next 21 days so it just wouldn't work. I WILL keep doing it though. I just got back from a jog as a matter of fact!
Other bad news, I drank beer yesterday. I DO have one more pause and I've completed day 11. There IS hope for that one, although now there is beer in the house to tempt me.....
I keep saying that I really have to cut back on my eating. Maybe I will start a mini challenge, eat half of what I usually eat.:hungry: I will post one of these guys for each day I succeed. But I have to start tomorrow cause I ate a normal breakfast.

Hey all. First off, I hope all of you are doing excellent. I am sorry I have been off the boards. Second - welcome to any newbies or returnies I have missed.

I just need to whine for a while here. Things have not been going so well. Normal things going wrong at work, but everything at once. None of them by themselves are major crisis, but so many things at once just wear me out. I am tired. (PMS and major allergies requiring unconsiousness inducing levels of antihistamines don't help). I am overwhelmed and depressed. I am not working out (ooh, like that helps) and eating poorly (even better!). I spent money I shouldn't to get my hair chopped off and highlighted tonight (because poverty always helps reduce stress. No worries here mate!) I am questioning whether I should even be trying for law school, or just take the quickest route out of Dodge - even though I know I need to do something I am passionate about.

I need to clear my head. Get some rest. Get an attitude adjustment. And get back on track. I have been watching reruns of Biggest Loser, and it is so motivational . . . for about 30 minutes anyway. WHAT AM I DOING??????

Help?

Hi. I'm still around, I just haven't posted since I can't really start a new challenge with my vacation coming up. It might even be difficult for the whole rest of the summer, the way the schedule is shaping up. I am having hard time committing but deep down I see the desperate need.

Reading some of your posts, I am very happy to see that many are making progress and sticking to it. Congratulations!!! There are no small wins, every single one is HUGE.

I am trying to think of challenges that would work for me:
Food looks so hard right now, because this is summer - picnicks, birthdays, trips, camping... how do you deal with them?
Water and Workout challenges should be something which is doable...I just need to get myself committed. Posting helps me get myself in that mindset, so anyday now I should announce the start.

Jolly,
Good job on your challenges, you are so strong. I read your posts and deep-deep down say, why I cannot be like that, why-o-why?
I wish I could say I've lost the weight, but not true. Just to think a year ago, I was further along that I am now. Why did I subbotage myself, why did I decide to punish, where biggest punishment is not doing anything, yet I felt the need to make myself eat even if that caused me to be sick. Anyway, no use...
So here I am, i started 2 of my challenges and will add a 3rd one soon.
As usual:
A. No Food before bed (level 2) - 2 days met
B. Daily Excercise (level 3) - 1 day met

Red, seroiusly are you ok, please let us know. I just realized after reading this post that you must be nearby, and have felt it. Living in CA I know that those things are felt for miles on out, especially in the ocean, water/waves have great tranfer-ability.

Chear up, everhting will pass and this will too. I know how hard it is...By the way you said you were back, where did you go? States? Pittsburg?
