Wow, that is awesome. You have got to be thrilled. I plan on getting one when i get close to goal as well. good for you for giving yourself this treat.

Folks that are not used to actual post op pics might think differently, but as a nurse, you look to be healing wonderfully. I would trade a scar for this spare tire anyday. My stomach, when i lost weight before looked JUST like yours. It is so disheartening to lose all the weight and realize, you now have all this extra skin that you can DO NOTHING with (except cut it off).

If you need a wonderful TT support group, i would recommend tuckthattummy.com and go to the tummy tuck message board, great group of ladies that can answer ANYTHING.

Again, you look fabulous! and congrats on the weight loss.

Thanks for sharing your pics, you look great!! You stand out to me because I think I remember you saying you had c sections also. I've also had three c-sections. Mine were all in the last five years so they were all the low transverse (I think that's what it's called when the incision is horizontal), anyway, it's inspriring to see your pics. I know that one day I will want the TT to get rid of the skin too. Take care of yourself!

Thanks for posting these. THis is something I will definitely need when I get closer to goal. It helps to see photos. Just look how flat your tummy already is and there must still be swelling from the recent surgery. Wow!

It's been an amazing week guys. I never imagined I would feel so good. The only downside to that is doing too much and wearing yourself out. If this is something you are considering I say go for it. The end result is going to be worth everything it took to get me there. I'm so ready to wear something besides tshirts and pajama pants, gotta wait till the swelling goes down, ugh!

I know at least one size Shannon. Before the sugery I was buying everything too big because I couldnt stand my pants tight on my stomach. Then the legs and butt looked huge. So just with the flap of skin gone I should be at least one size smaller. I'll take it! My goal when I started was to get to a size 12. Before the surgery I was buying a loose 12 or a not so loose 10. So I'm pretty happy! Right now my waist is 3 inches bigger than it was before the surgery, freaking swelling! LOL At least I know that will get better on its own, just gonna take some time! Patience...

Thank you Wendy. This is something I dreamed about for a long time. I cant believe its already been a week since my surgery. Its hard to feel better then do too much and wear yourself out because you feel better LOL I just have to remember I'm supposed to be laying on my tushie letting my family wait on me like I do them all the time! Thats hard for a mom to do, well not the first few days. All I did was eat enough to take my meds, sleep and potty LOL Not a bad way to pass the time! I'll take more pictures as things change. I cant wait for the swelling to be gone!

Can't wait to see how you look when the swelling is gone. You know we're all living vicariously through you, right? ;)

Oh, Kim.......I am still just sooo excited for you. What a dream come true. I don't know if you remember this or not, but after my C-section, I could not hold my abs in the way I used to. It was like all of my muscles relaxed due to my insicions. Do you think that is the same with your TT? Cuz with that AND the swelling, I bet you are going to notice a HUGE difference in a few months when everything starts getting back to normal. I am so glad your fever went away......and I am crossing my fingers for your continued quick recovery :) XOXO P.S. Your tummy looks fab!!!!

Megan- The swelling seems to get better everyday. 4 days after surgery my waist was 3 inches bigger than before surgery. This morning its gone down an inch and a half. So baby steps.

Nicole- My stomach muscles were shot from the c-sections. I am amazed at how flat my stomach is, even with the swelling. What a lot of people dont realize is that pregnancy can not only stretch your abdomen muscles, it can separate the muscle and thats why most TT's include muscle repair. So not only was my flap of loose skin removed, my muscles were pulled together and sutured back together on the inside. The Dr called it an internal corset. And believe me I can feel it. My skin and muscles are so tight I cant stand up straight. It will get better but for now I walk hunched over like a little old granny LOL The muscles will naturally relax with age but nothing like they would have if I had never had the surgery.

If you wouldn't mind telling us, what is a ball park figure on cost. Want to know so I can start saving up. I hate the hangy belly!!! I can't even blame mine on childbirth or pregnancies. Would love to have a tummy tuck, breast lift and my flappy arms fixed when I reach my goal.

Letisha- I'm not doing much else but resting and it feels good!

Cost depends on what you have done and even what part of the country you are in. Mine was 6,775. 5 for the Dr and the rest for the operating room and the anesthesia. That included all preop and post op visits.

I thought about a breast lift too, would LOVE to have it done, it was just too much additional money with 2 kids in college this fall! maybe someday!
