I would LOVE to do the first 5 things listed on the poll Cheryl, but I KNOW number 1 is out of question... number 2 & 3 are my fantasy... number 4 is reality... number 5 was on tap until number 6 happened... we will be postponing the vacation to budget for a wedding... so I am basically doing work as usual and other, saving money and planning a wedding. SUCKS to be parents of the bride! LOL!

I am worried about Dee. Has anyone heard from her? It has been almost a month since she has posted here. I know Jay was getting married, but it is unlike her to not check in. I sent her an email, but I didn't receive a response. I know she was having some back pain, I'm worried something happened.

I am right back to square #1 with dieting. Due to lack of motivation, excuses and our hectic life I have gained all my weight back and I have no one to blame but myself. I am at 180 on the scale, I can't believe it. So, back to getting on track once again.

Wishing everyone a safe holiday weekend.

05-25-2007, 04:22 PM
Gayle, I have also been wondering about Dee. Maybe she's laying on a beach somewhere sipping mai tai's or margaritas? I hope that's all it is.

Allison hasn't been around lately, either! Hope she hasn't forgotten us.

Vouge needs to come out of hiding, too!

:?: :?: :?: :?:

05-26-2007, 12:15 PM
Gayle-I have been worried about Dee also. I am going to send her a message too.

Lisa-Thank you for the blurb. It is very interesting.

Sherry-Have a great time with Debbie and give her my love! I miss her!

Allison hasn't been around lately, either! Hope she hasn't forgotten us.

One word: lurking!!!

It's been incredibly busy around here. Tonight is the HUGE bash. I'm off in a few minutes to go and decorate, then I have to come home and get gussied up for it. Then the big show at 5 PM. I'm the emcee as well as on the committee that is putting the whole thing on. It's our annual charity thing: silent auction fund raiser, presentation of our graduating seniors, awards show and fashion show. All that and dealing with the buyout at work (DH and I are buying the company from our partners as they are retiring). The financial stuff associated with that is mind boggling! Thankfully our CPA and lawyer are really helpful! Oh, and did I tell you all about the recent break-in? Tweekers stole $11,000 worth of custom painted extruded aluminum (for a sliding door for one of our customers) and sold it for scrap--probably got $200 for it. I called every recycling place to see if they had it, and NO. So, dealing with the police, insurance companies, getting everything re-ordered STAT has been hectic. Oh, yeah, we put razor wire up around the "yard" at work. I hope that deters the robbers (3rd time this year ya know).

05-28-2007, 12:26 AM
I've been off-program for a few days. I don't really feel guilty because
I've come a long way and some high calorie days are not the end of
the world. I haven't quit exercising, and I haven't quit eating vegetables.
But I can't keep eating freely without regaining what I lost, I have to
go back to logging my food. Basically I have to quit feeling complacent
and get serious. But I don't feel like it.

I think low-carb is really good for reducing cravings, but maybe my last
few weeks were a bit too low on calories overall. So I'm thinking of eating
more fat while I do the withdrawal from carbs again, and then when that
battle is done, I'll lower my fat and calories to a weight-loss level.

But the complacency is a problem. I can now fit into some nice-looking
jeans and when I try to yell at myself, it falls on deaf ears. I'll let you
know how it goes.

05-28-2007, 04:31 AM
I guess I've been preoccupied with other things the past few weeks and just haven't had the time to post like I normally do.

My dad is not well, so I have been spending weekends at my parent's house helping my mom take care of him and doing things that need to be done around their house. My dad had several doctor's appointments and more testing done last week and we got some results back on Friday. The test results showed that his heart has weakened significantly since he was in the hospital a couple months ago and the doctor feels that this is the reason for the difficulty he is having with his breathing. I don't really understand all the technical terms, but how the cardiologist explained it was that because his heart isn't pumping the proper amount of blood it is affecting all of his major organs and causing them to retain fluid which is affecting his breathing. Basically what it comes down to is everything is starting to shut down. It was suggested that we consider starting hospice care, so we are thinking about that, but want to talk to his family doctor first and get his opinion. We know that he will be honest with us and let us know exactly what to expect. We (mom, dad, my sister and I) have an appointment on Thursday to talk to the doctor. I have a feeling that I already know what the answers are going to be, but will be good for us all to go.
I talked to Travis tonight...I was in hopes that he might be able to make a trip home sometime in the near future so he could see his grandpa while he is still fairly good, but he's just started a new job in a new company (PMO MP, which means he's a base police officer. He does regular police work and won't have to go back to Iraq for at least a year...he absolutely loves it!), so it's just not possible for him to come home right now.
During the week Tim and I have been trying to keep up with things at the shop, plus we are still doing Aunt Hazel's yard work and other odds and ends that she needs done. On top of all that, we have our own regular housework and yardwork that needs to be done.
Our DIL is doing great and so is the new grandbaby, so she will be returning to work in a few weeks. Then I will be back on babysitting duty, so I'm trying to get as much done as I can now while I have some "free time".

Needless to say...being the stress eater that I has not been in my vocabulary much the past few weeks. I need to get a handle on things and do more than just think about losing weight again! So come on y'all, put down the icecream and let's get back to work! I will do my very best to check in more often and get my diet back on track...

05-28-2007, 12:08 PM
Suzy-My prayers to you. Don't worry right now about your diet. Just be there for your family.

Lisa-I am trying to start Core again. I did okay yesterday, but today is a bbq at the in-law's house (ugh!)

Allison-I hope your function went well.

Everyone have a great Memorial Day.

05-30-2007, 01:04 AM
Hope everyone had a safe weekend!

A birdie flew by and told be one of our very own chickadees will be having a birthday on Thursday....hmmmm.....wonder who it is...
Could it be our Florida chickie?????? :-)

Ladies-Checkout this webside This lipstick is fantastic! I just bought some and it really lasted. The lady came and demonstrated the makeup at our end of year staff luncheon. I don't know anything about the rest of the makeup, but I just ordered more lipstick.

05-30-2007, 01:54 PM
Hello

We had a great weekend. Yesterday I just upacked and washed all day.I walked so much over the camping trip, my legs are killing me today...which is ok!! :) I also lost another lb.!! Total of 29.2 so far!!!!! :carrot: I really watched what I was eating while everyone else was "pigging out!" But this time was different from the past.I didn't want any of it!! YEAH ME!

On the way to the cabin (2 1/2 the nurse called me on my cell phone. She said my results on my CT scan came back. She said there was a spot on my kidney that the doctor said he wasn't happy with. I'll have the scope and biopsy done next week.

About Debbie: This 5 day trip (4 days for me) was much needed for her.She relaxed and even took several naps. I haven't told anyone but since some of you have asked about her, Debbie has been in the hospital. She got out 2 weeks ago.She was in there for 6 days. After many misdignosis, she found out that she had a viral infection that attacted her heart. There was so much fluid in her chest (around heart) that she thought she was about dead from chest pains. They ran IV's in her for 6 days to flush the fluids out. She's doing much, much better and goes back to the doctor this afternoon.Hopefully he'll release her so she can finally get her surgery date for her lapband. She didn't work the last 2 weeks of the school year.

I will say a prayer for your Dad. I KNOW what you're going through.I have been helping with my in-laws since Feb. They seem to just get worse.Time will tell. Don't worry about your diet right now.Take care of your Mom & Dad. We're all here for you sweetie  .Take care...

What lipstick did you order? There were so many different ones and different kinds. How are you? Aren't you glad that school is out?????? I'm going to be LAZY all summer!! LOL

CONGRATS on fitting into the new jeans!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! Makes you feel great doesn't it??!!! :)

How's the shop going? Do you still enjoy it? Will you be able to still help hubby out in the summer like you've done in the past?

How did the bash go? Tell us all about it!!

Doni,Carol & Dee......WHERE ARE YOU?????????? Come out where ever you are!!!!!!!!! I'm getting worried!!!!!:chin:

Hello to everyone else...I've got to get busy cleaning my basement and get some yard sale things together.I'm taking my stuff to Debbie's Daughters and we're having the yard sale on Saturday.

Later..... HUGS!!

05-30-2007, 03:18 PM
Sherry, thanks for asking about the big bash's how it went:

DH and I loaded up the Expedition, stopped for more stuff at our storage facility and then arrived at the convention center at 10 AM. We unloaded and spent the next three hours decorating the room we had rented. There were about 20 of us doing the decorations. DD left at noon to have a manicure and pedicure and then reported to her hair and makeup appointment (see my profile for a photo of DS and DD that night).

At 1 PM, DH and I went home for some lunch and I had just enough time to eat, do my makeup and get dressed as I had to be back at the convention center by 3:30 to help unload all the baskets for the silent auction.

Guests started arriving at 4 PM because many of the senior families were meeting with the photographer for family portraits. We had the perfect venue--there was a rock waterfall outside the foyer where we were set up for the cocktail hour and silent auction viewing and bidding. Thankfully the bartender arrived early, too! Several people were miffed that we wouldn't let anyone into the "room" before 5:45 and they thought making people hang out at the silent auction and bar area would be too hard on the older folk. We didn't restrict anyone from going into the "room" but if they did, they were entertained by the audio/visual guys doing the last minute sound checks and the girls practicing on the runway for the fashion show! Anyway, it turns out that no one really wanted to leave the foyer and the cocktail hour!!!

At 5:45, I announced that the show was going to start at 6PM and then realized my announcement didn't get broadcast to the foyer, so I had to run out there and tell people to come in and get seated. We started basically on time at 6 PM. The seniors did very well during the presentation ceremony. They all looked good. The only thing that wasn't great was that the stage was a little bit small and they didn't all fit on it well. I wanted them to all line up on the runway for photos, but the senior moms (for some reason) didn't like that idea.....instead the senior moms kept asking to have the podium moved. That didn't work well, but it's done with. I still think having them on the runway would have been better.

After the presentation, we had dinner and after the dinner we awarded the service awards to the girls. All in all, our group donated over 5100 hours of community service to our area and the girls who did the most got special awards. After the awards, the girls had the fashion show. I wish I had gotten some pictures because DD was so cute! But my table wasn't in a good spot and I had too much to do running the whole thing to be able to go elsewhere for a good photo vantage position. After the fashion show, I announced the winners of the silent auction. Oh, wow! I won 5 of the 30+ baskets! $455 later I was the proud owner of a "martini basket", an "Italian basket", a "SAT 1-on-1 tutoring basket" (for DD), and two others that I don't remember. Well, it's all for charity!!! DD actually put my name on the martini basket. She seems to think she'd like to try one. I don't think she'll like them!! HaHa--can't wait to make one for her to try!

The whole evening closed at about 9 PM which was a little earlier than expected, but it went well. No huge complaints--mostly a lot of thanks from the senior moms. Everyone pitched in and helped clean up the decorations and we loaded them up in the Expedition and I was out of there by 10:15 PM. Once home, I couldn't get to sleep, though (must have been the coffee with dessert!).

05-30-2007, 07:34 PM
It all sounded like it went off without a hitch! :) Wow, You sured did a lot of work and I'm sure it was very appricated. It sounded like it was a wonderful night & a fun time. You sure can write a perfect letter!! That was wonderful details!
Your DD & DS are so cute!! What a great picture! How old are they?
Thanks for sharing your busy day & night. I enjoyed it.

05-31-2007, 07:17 AM
Sherry-Please give my love to Debbie. I hope she is okay. I had no idea she is going to have lapband surgery. That's very exciting! Wow on your weight loss!! You are doing amazing! BTW, I ordered the regular lip sense ($20.00), in red cherry, plus the glossy gloss ($16.00.) You have to use the gloss to make it nice and smooth feeling. I absolutely love it! I just ordered blu-red and fuschia also. It stayed on yesterday after my lunch! I just had to use a bit of the gloss to make it smooth feeling. I can't use regular lipstick anymore since I started with the long lasting type because I don't like the taste or feel of regular lipstick. Gosh, I sound like a commercial!!

:celebrate: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLEY!!!!! :celebrate:

I hope you have a day as wonderful as you are!!!!!! Love Ya! :bday2:

05-31-2007, 09:47 AM
Happy birthday Shelley! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. I really have to start paying attention to the diet though. None of my clothes fit from last summer and I am so disgusted with myself for letting this weight come back on. I have to do something!

Sherry ~ You are doing awesome! I need some of your motivation!

05-31-2007, 11:07 AM
:bday2you: :bday2you: :bday2you: :bday2you: :bday2you:

I hope it's a GREAT one!!!

05-31-2007, 12:13 PM
Happy Birthday Shelley!

05-31-2007, 07:07 PM
Thank you everyone!! I love you all!

05-31-2007, 09:03 PM
Happy birthday Shelley! Hope you are having a great day!

05-31-2007, 11:50 PM
Shelly, Happy Birthday to you-u-u-u-u.

Suzy, I'm thinking of you as you care for your Dad. I don't let
myself think about what it will be like when my parents age more because
it's too sad for me to handle. I hope food can be a source of
nutrition and strength and vitality for you, and I hope food
will not be a drain on your will-power or anything else that
isn't helpful. Good luck with juggling everything!

Sherry, Sorry to hear about the spot on your kidney. 10 days
ago our aunt had surgery because of a "spot" on her kidney
and she came through feeling great and she has a great prognosis.
She's a lot older than you are so I think the recovery from surgery
was more worrisome in her case, so the whole family is really delighted.
It was a huge stress and it's such a relief now. I hope everything
goes well for you too.
Congratulations on your weight loss! And even bigger Congratulations
on changing your taste buds so you don't even WANT to "pig out."

Allison, your big event sounds really big and exciting, and like a
huge amount of work. Congratulations.

I'm keeping up the diet, but with more allowances for extras
and fats and for slower loss. This will only be a problem if I keep
skipping my workouts, so I need to improve my time-management
and keep doing SOME form of even minor exercise every day.
I've gotten a bit of a promotion at work, which is really amazing
and feels great, but also intimidating because I'll need to increase
the amount I accomplish, and more people will be watching to
make sure I do. I just found out about it, but the fine print
will arrive by mail in the next week or so.

06-03-2007, 09:32 AM

Anyone home?????? Just wanted to say hi. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. ;)

06-04-2007, 06:49 AM
I had a pretty bad fall on my bike yesterday. Face first. Now I have a gash on my too big nose and some scraps on arm and leg. My ego is really gashed too!

06-04-2007, 08:41 AM
Poor Shelley, OUCH!!! You take care of yourself sweetie! Remember to use an antibiotic to ward off infection and also remember, your beautiful even with a gash on the nose.

06-04-2007, 08:43 AM
I'm busy Sher. Working at the beauty shop (which I love) although they keep me hopping, planning a wedding, taking care of 3 yards this summer plus taking care of 3 households. Never a free minute here it seems.

06-04-2007, 06:08 PM
I can relate Gayle! :dizzy:

I am happy to report a two pound loss, so now I am back to what my ticker actually says! ;) Now if I can just keep moving in the right direction!

Sorry to hear about your spill Shelley! I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious than a few cuts, scrapes and a bruised ego!

06-04-2007, 08:01 PM
I registered for two classes today--both British Lit.

One runs from July 2- August 2 and the other is a normal fall class.

If all goes well, they should be the last two I need for my Master's degree. Yea! :)

06-05-2007, 12:51 AM
Great job Suzy!!! I know your a busy little beaver too!!! Prayers sent for your family sweetie.

AWESOME job Cheryl! I didnt realize you were so close to your degree. Will you still stop in here to us little people?? :-)

06-05-2007, 07:02 AM
Suzy-Yay on the WI!

Cheryl-Wow, you are getting close!!

Gayle-You are wonder woman!!

06-05-2007, 09:19 AM
Shelley, I am a tired woman!! LOL! :stars:
How is the nose??

Anyone hear from Dee yet? She never answered my email. :?:

06-05-2007, 11:16 AM
Gayle...I tried to email Dee also. The letter came back! What's up...I wonder??? I miss her so much!!!! Try not to work too much and get some REST!!!!!!!!

Shelley...How are you today? How's the nose? Poor thing. Been thinking about you!!

Cheryl.....CONGRATS!! I can't wait until you get your masters!! You are one smart cookie!!!

Suzy....CONGRATS to you on the 2 lbs gone forever!! :carrot: Your family is still in my prayers.

Have a great day all :sunny:

06-05-2007, 11:50 AM
Cheryl ~ You are living proof that slow and steady wins the race! are almost there!

Shelley ~ How are you feeling today? It's my bet that you're really sore!

Thanks for the prayers everyone...they sure are needed and appreciated. You all remain in my prayers as well!

06-06-2007, 02:34 AM
Sorry to hear about your fall, Shelley. I hate when something like
that happens and everybody comes up and asks me how I got hurt.
If I say, "Oh, it's nothing," then they just get more curious!

Cheryl congrats on getting the classes you need for your degree. Will
this be your last "formal education" for the foreseeable future?

Suzy congrats on your weight loss. Really great!

I'm not paying enough attention to what I'm doing at work and I
need to improve. I don't know how much of it is due to sleep
deprivation (because of a toddler who keeps waking up in the
night, and partly trying to do work at home after the kids sleep),
and how much is due to calorie restriction.

06-06-2007, 07:40 AM
I didn't get a response from Dee either. I am concerned.

My nose is still a bit numb and I have some yellowing on one side. I still have the bandaid on it at work because the gash is yucky looking. I'm afraid to get back on the bike right now. I did walk a bit yesterday, but not being able to run and bike, I have nothing left but to gain weight!!

06-06-2007, 10:31 AM
Cheryl congrats on getting the classes you need for your degree. Will
this be your last "formal education" for the foreseeable future?

Yep. I think I'm at the end of my educational rope (for now). I will probably dabble with some business classes at the local CC as time and money allow, but I don't see an English PhD in my future!

Since these are my last two classes and I'm hoping to graduate in December or May if--God willing--I can pass my written comps, I am making other plans for the future------------

I officially stopped taking the pill two weeks ago!

06-06-2007, 12:10 PM
Wow - Cheryl you are getting sooo close you must be excited.
I haven't been around much lately either, just busy working.
I am back on Low Carb right now - just couldn't switch over to WW.
Shelley - hope you are healing up that nose.
SUZY - Congrats on the two pounds - you go girl.

06-07-2007, 02:52 PM
Okay - Where Is Everyone???

06-07-2007, 03:20 PM
Hi Janice!!
I'm here! Just doing things around the house since I'm off now for the summer. I have my basement all cleaned! Today I'm washing & waxing my car. I came in for a break. It's so hot outside! But I'll wax it in the basment.
Where is everyone?????? Anyone heard from De yet? What happened to Doni??
Love Ya'll...

06-08-2007, 02:45 AM
Cheryl, Wow, going off the pill is very exciting. I did that, thinking
ahead, thinking it might take several months to conceive, and it
was a rude surprise not very many weeks later to have a really
bad (and really long-lasting) case of morning sickness. But most
women don't conceive fast and most women don't have their
productivity ruined by pregnancy, so I'm really happy and excited
for you.

I'm doing better today. I still have the problem today of feeling MORE
hungry AFTER a meal than I felt before it. I've tried to talk to
other people about this feeling and nobody seems to have the
same problem. Does anybody out there ever feel more hungry
after a low-carb or low-cal meal than before?

This only happens with low-carb or low-cal meals, so it's probably my
body producing insulin to help digest food and then causing low blood
sugar when there isn't much need for insulin.

Today it's only annoying and distracting, not bad enough to drive
me crazy like yesterday. But still, it really ruins a nice meal to
walk away from it feeling so "needful," and it stinks to spend so much
willpower at a time when I think I shouldn't need it.

06-08-2007, 07:22 AM
Lisa-I'm always hungry after a meal. It's not really hunger, just craving something else no matter how full my stomach is. I think that's just my habit. I can't seem to break it. Have you tried chewing gum or brushing your teeth? It may or may not help.

Cheryl-Does Stewart know you are going off the pill? Is he ready for a family?

Sherry-This may sound stupid, but being from Fl, we have no basements. How do you get your car down there?

Janice-You have to do what works for you. Good luck on the low carb.

06-08-2007, 10:20 AM
Lisa ~ I have that problem on occasion and you are's due to your blood sugar levels. How often are you eating? If you are only eating 3 times a day then consider adding a morning snack and afternoon snack to help keep your blood sugar levels more constant.

06-08-2007, 10:45 AM
We may have a baby Cheryl or Stew around here in the future????? Best wishes Cheryl! You will make a FANTASTIC mommy!

Lisa, I agree with Suzy, try adding something in between meals.

Shelley, I need to admit something...I got the giggles when I pictured a car trying to go down steps into a basement. I'll let Sher explain to you how it works. I forget sometimes that we all come from different areas of the country with different issues. If I remember right, all of your water wells are above ground? Most of ours are underground. How is your septic/sewer system setup?

06-08-2007, 11:11 AM
Shelley...I got so tickled when I read what you posted. I guess I took it for granted that everyone knew what a basment was.Sorry. The basement is the full length of the house. You drive down the driveway and pull into it. It's a big open place. It's where we have our washer & dryer also. We are lucky though because we have a separate room down stairs that has a storage room with a door. A lot of people who have basements turn them into dens or master bedrooms. Does this make sense?

Congrats Cheryl on coming off the pill!!! I hope you get prego :preg: We can all come there and give you a baby shower!!!!! What does Stewart think? BTW: Chris is a "pill" baby!!

Be back later to post more....(The lady next door just walked in)

06-08-2007, 12:00 PM ( Yeah you guys are Back.
I know everyone is busy this time of year.
I am down another pound finally. I went back on low carb on Monday and have lost 3.5 pounds since then. The pound is from where my ticker left off. I had gained back up to 178.5.
I have never felt hungry after a meal I don't think. That must feel weird.
Sherry - I have never heard of a basement you can drive into either, thanks for explaining. (http://*********************************************************=ZSzeb113_ZNxmk042YYCA&utm_id=7921)

06-08-2007, 12:10 PM
Yep, Stewart knows. He'll be happy with whatever I decide to do! I think he'll be a good daddy (if we can EVER get past the alcohol issue!). I started my TOM yesterday--first one w/o the pill. I'm not doing anything special (ovulation tests, fertility, etc.) except taking a pre-natal vitiman to get that extra folic acid and all the other good stuff developing babies need. I'm just gonna let nature take her course and whatever happens happens. Could be a month, could be a year.

I do have to admit, though, I am so EXCITED at the thought of being pregnant!!!!!!!!! (And I'm counting on every one of you to REMIND me of that at various points in the future!!)

Gayle, how's the wedding planning going?

Shelley, is your nose healing OK? Be sure to use some neosporin or mederma on it to keep it from scarring too badly.

I am REALLY WORRIED about our princess Dee. Usually if she's gonna be gone for a long time she'll tell us. I may check back over the last month or so to make sure I didn't miss anything, just to be sure.

Sherry, maybe washing your car will bring some RAIN!!

Lisa, I'm so glad you've stuck with us even though we've been really slow lately! Hang in there, girl!

Janice--3.5 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled for you!

Suzy, how is Travis doing? Is he glad to be home?

Debbi, how is your summer going? Didn't you say you'll be teaching some summer classes?

Allison, I know you're lurking because I still see you around in some of the other threads. I see you've been designated a "pro" by one of our greatest mods :) Great!

To all you lurkers--Come BACK and join us!!!

06-08-2007, 12:15 PM
Cheryl~best of luck with trying for your new family. I know of at least 2 other posters who are expecting. It's so exciting.

Oh, and as for being a pro, I don't know. I need to go back to that thread and see what's up--I'm afraid I may have overstepped myself....

Yeah, I lurk here and there throughout the day when I have time. Once I get home, I don't sign on at all--so it's only when I have a few free moments at work. And work has been much busier lately.

I am officially trying to lose the last few pounds now. I came to the realization a few days ago that my maintaining at 140 wasn't working as I'm rather stuck at about 143. So here's to the last 10!

Everyone have a great day and a great weekend!

06-08-2007, 06:22 PM
Allison - what are you a pro at??
I don't read the other posts.

Hi everyone! Things here are even crazier than usual!! Rob's Mom has had so many medical problems. She had the total hip replacement, was doing fine, went to rehab and had problems. First she had heart problems and was rushed back to the hospital, they figured it was due tothe anestheia from the original surgery. While in the hospital, they found she had gall stones. Tehy took care of that and she went back to rehab. Then she developed some swelling at the site of the incision and had to go back to the hospital, and have that drained. Finally she went back to rehab yesterday and should be there for one or two weeks.
While she is there, we are cleaning out her house. She has kept everything! We have thrown away so much stuff. She kept broken dishes! If she broke it, she put the pieces in a plastic bag and put it back in the cabinet.

I have also been working, teaching a summer class. I am at school from noon till 8PM and it makes for long days! I do try to get to belly dance class as often as I can, but have had to miss some, with Rob's Mom. I am teaching another class this summer, so things are busy around here.

Cheryl, congrats on going off the pill!

Shelley, hope you are ok, from the fall.

Where is Princess Dee???

Gayle, how is the job? Do you still love it?

Janice, congrats on the 3.5 pounds! Great job!

Thinking about everyone! I am going to go and try to get back to sleep. I can't sleep right now, thinking about everything. So hoping a few computer minutes helped and I am sleepy!

Allison - what are you a pro at??
I don't read the other posts.

Oh, I posted to someone in support (a newbie) who couldn't understand why she wasn't losing weight. She says she walks 6-7 days per week for about 5 miles (didn't mention any intensity) and is doing WW with 18 points per day and about 35 flex points. I asked her to tell me exactly what she's eating per day and it turned out to be like 900 calories. Anyway, I guess some of the comments I made were good and Meg, the moderator for the maintainer forum, said that I was the "expert." I denied it! But there were a lot of other posters who dittoed what I said, so I guess I know a few things!

The last post from Dee was 4/26. I am very worried. I hope she is just vacationing and that is why she hasn't been able to say hi.

Cheryl-I just started putting fresh aloe on my nose. I really think I did something to it. It's still swollen on the left side and looks a bit lopsided. I've wanted a nose job all my life, maybe I'll be able to get one paid by insurance, if I get it checked out.

Sherry-Thanks for the explanation. I know what a basement is, I've just always seen them in magazines as a game room or something. I never knew you could drive down to it.

Gayle-Our septic is underground. The well pump is above ground. That's about all I know about it. Mike is the expert.

Yay Janice on the lb. lost!

Allison-Good luck on the last few lbs.

Guess who I just talked to????? DEE!!!!!!! The little chickadee is hanging out in Canada without a computer. I found a number for her and called, we had a nice chat. She wantes everyone to know she is ok, just busy with wedding plans (Jay) and life in general. Her computer went down mid-April and Larry hasn't had time to fix it yet. I told her no rush, but have Larry get on it ASAP. LOL! Now we know our little canadian chickie is safe and sound.
She did mention though, it would be a good idea to let our loved ones have a contact name or number here so they can contact someone if something serious happens to one of us. I know Steve can get into my address book and favorites and find someone to contact from there.

Poor Shelley! OUCH! Maybe this is the chance you've been waiting for to have a nose job. Not that I think you need it... you are a beautiful person.

Cheryl, have fun "making baby's"!!!!!! Wink, wink!!!
Wedding plans are going great! What bargains can be found on ebay!!

Debbi, I love my job, I love the dementia clients... not sure what that says about me...
I giggled about the broken dish story!

Congrats to the losers!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!!
