:p Can I vent a little? Ok..(I will) I've been dropping EVERYTHING to do things for my daughter. I did a whole report for her that she didn't bother doing so that she would pass the class. And then this morning she needed some shoes to go on the SR trip and I was just ready to go in the shower but I dropped that and went and got her some shoes and a disposable camera and I threw in some socks too and she complained that they were too big and she's being hecka rude to me. So I'm fuming right now. And to TOP it off she told me the day that the money was due for the trip (a few months ago) and I had ran down to the school and got the form and sent it off in time for her to go...so she would't be going even if it wasn't for me. Well,....she said she was stressed out because she was going to disneyland! Hmmmm....what I wouldn't do to change places with her!!! (FREAKY FRIDAY here we come....eh?)
On the ME FRONT...I'm doing pretty good. I just drove my two routes that I've been walking in the mornings and found that this morning I walked 3.1 miles and that my other route was 3.2 So if I get both sessions in i'm walking over 5miles! (with the 2 miles i've been doing at night) ;)
I need to focus on this and not let the stresses get me! Thanks for letting me vent...I HAD to do that. ;P:dizzy:

Tina- I hear ya. Good to let that out isn't it? Kids!! Actually, since mine are grown and gone I can only "remember when" but I sure do know what they can be like. I think they are so used to us doing everything for them and that really can be a bad thing. (for all involved) 1. They don't learn to do some things..and 2. when they leave we don't know how to survive without taking care of someone. Really, when my son moved out (my last baby) I was really depressed and had no one to do THINGS for. Know what I mean?
The good thing is...when they mature they do let you know how much they appreciated everything you did for them as they were growing up. So just say "this too shall pass." :)
Got my bike fixed yesterday..YAY! I rode 3 miles last night and 2 miles this morning. Hoping to ride 3 miles tonight too. My goal was 4 miles per night, but if I break it up I think I can do 5 miles a day. I don't know if I will do any walking...just will see.
Food is a problem..but after a trip to the grocery store I am going to TRY to do better. I bought a watermelon and cantaloupe plus apples. Also broccoli, cauliflower and lettuces. Hopefully I can get cooking......
It is HOT here and we turned on the AC. I hate that...I would rather have the windows open.

Good Evening Ladies:wave:
Just got off the treadmill, had to walk early the boy has a softball meeting tonite and guess who gets to take him LOL...Holy Moly did it ever storm here yesterday, every time I got the comp fired up another round would hit us and I had to shutdown again so I finally gave up...Hubby is in Allentown, he said the traffic is horrible already for the holiday weekend...so much for high gas prices keeping people off the roads LOL...the sun has finally decided to come out here now that the day is over, it's been cold here all day maybe 63 at the most...well I am gonna cook a turkey burger for my dinner and get ready to play taxi driver LOL Have a Good Evening All.
Marti - He gets 2 or 3 days a month home unless he is delivering close then he can swing by.
Your next WDW vacation is 108 days away!

We are awaiting rain here Pink Jane. They keep saying it is coming, and we need it, but it hasn't arrived. I am tired of watering the new plants. :(
I DID ride another 3 miles tonight for a 5 mile total today. Feeling very good about that even though my legs feel like jello.
Happy Friday all...and Happy holiday week-end. Be safe!!

Hey EVERYONE ~ I am still walking! I've done something different than I used to do. And that is I'm walking 2 times a day. Once in the morning (after the kids are off to school...which is coming to an end) and before bed. And if I miss one of those sessions I don't sweat it because I still get a walk in. In the morning it's out and about....around the neighborhood with my sons ipod. And at night it's on my treadmill. So i'm getting a bit of a different workout with the combination. So yesterday I missed the morning one because I was helping my daughter finish a report for school...it was her last day of school. :P And last night it was AI for 2 hours...what a great show! And then I got on the treadmill and walked 2 miles. It was funny because I had my ipod on full blast and I was rockin' out on the treadmill and I look over and my DH is asleep on the couch...hahahaha
Sassy ~ I used to use a pedometer and they are great. It encourages you to walk to get those numbers up! And it makes you realize how much you do walk just doing things during the day. I think that's great! You seem so much more motivated and it's so great. Even your avator looks healthy and happy! Keep that attitude up and you are going to be successful...I just know it!
Hi Tina!
Thank You and I realized that I can either be depressed and bitter and UNmotivated or happy and positive and MOtivated! :carrot: I know there will be days/nights that I may not be as motivated, but that is just human.
WTG on the walking!!!!!!! :woohoo: Big  about your DD. What an Awesome Mom you are and someday she will remember that, even though right now she may not give one second thought about it, when she is all grown, she will remember that........
Hey Sue! ;)
WTG on the biking! I want to get me a bike, I used to just love bike riding and we have an awesome bike trail here! ;)
Hi Pink Jane! sounds like you're doing well with your walking....;)
Okay, well we did go to the Zoo after all and we walked the whole entire thing and let me add that it was mostly all up hill, but I made it. Yes I had to sit a few times, but I think I did an awesome job, if I do say so myself. I found that the best way to tackle a hill is to just pump my arms and kick it into high gear, it doesn't hurt my back as badly then. I was leaving my DH & Mother in the dust! ;) It was fun, it did get a tad bit hot and we did sweat, but afterwards I felt good, ya know, because I actually did it and yes sometimes it was hard, but I pushed through it and no I didn't die! :carrot: lol.
The Zoo was fun, it was fun seeing all the animals, etc. Only bad things was the kids that people let run wild, I know kids get excited and all, but these kids were just plain rude, running in front of us about plowing us over, etc. And the 2nd thing was they wanted $2.75 for a 20 oz. bottle of water!!!!!!!! :yikes: So needless to say we were very thirsty afterwards, so DH stopped at a gas station afterwards and got me a BIG water! I have been drinking water ever since too! ;)
Well anyways that was my day. We are taking my mom back in the morning so we can get back home and get back on our sleeping cycle and get ready to go back to work Saturday Night.
Have a Great One Everybody!

Sassy--DD and her boyfriend took his daughter to a petting zoo and had a lot of fun--there was a camel that "really" liked Teri and now she wants one.
Sue--it is so true that we do for our kids so much then they move out and we are left wondering what to do, but there are times. DD is moving again. This time into a one bedroom with her bf. At least I don't have to do the heavy stuff this time!!
PinkJane--it's suppossed to be warm here this weekend with a chance of thunderstorms every day!!
Tina--you miss it when they are gone and they move out and do all kinds of stupid stuff that makes you wonder who's kids they are cause you know you taught them better!!
Hi all--sorry I have been missing--Teri and I have been going apartment looking again. There were two that she really liked and she got the one bedroom--the other was a two bedroom but the rooms were smaller than this one. She and Dave and baby to be will be living in Hagerstown MD which is where I work. She is in between the downtown shops and a huge park that has a small art museum and free concerts in the summer, not to mention alot of ducks, swans and huge koi to feed. At one time it was the neighborhood to live in and there a lot of huge Victorian homes that have been converted to apartments. The building she is in is being renovated and four of the one bedroom units are done with hers being the last one finished. They share a yard and there is a nice sized private deck with it's own entrance and off street parking. There is an older couple and a single guy downstairs and another young couple on the 2nd floor with them. They are working on the attic apartment which doesn't have the high ceiling and big windows but has lots of square footage. Their apartment has some really cool features. Tall windows, lots of curved arches and there is a nice built in with drawers up to waist high and then a cabinent above with lots of shelves that go clear up to the ceiling. The ones in the kitchen also go clear to the ceiling. I stopped and got her one of those three step ladders to use. She and Dave keep joking they are too short for the place--She is 5'6' and he is 5"8". They signed the lease Wednesday night and Dave moved in the matress and box springs and his tv and stereo in that night and I brought her bathroom stuff over on Thursday. Yes, the bathroom has the ducky decor--Dave says he is not to sure about it but 3 year old Lily is going to love it!! They want to buy a new bedroom suit. Teri had to work both Wed & Thurs so she and I are moving boxes today and getting the kitchen set up. We want to wash all the dishes since they have been in storage since September. Her cleaning stuff is in storage to. The apartment was spotless when they moved in but dd is a clean freak. The guys that own the building had it cleaned before and after they painted and fixed some odds and ends. What's really funny is we met the one guy when we looked at the place and then when we went to sign the lease we met the other and it turns out I graduated with him and he lived down the street from me!! Well off to shower and do a few things around here before I go!!

Good Friday morning ladies- I hope you all are well and have wonderful plans for the week-end.
It is beautiful and sunny here. I took a 2 mile bike ride before breakfast and it felt good...to be done. :) Actually, my legs hurt when I got up this morning so I thought I would just go for a short ride...but once I started I wanted to do 2 miles.
Going to pull out a box of pictures and knick knacky stuff and fill the shelf DH just built for over my desk. Also re-doing the tables in the great room. Not much else.
Going to in-laws tomorrow, but nothing for the rest of the week-end. We don't like to be out on the roads much Sun. due to being close to all the INDY 500 traffic. (our main route is I-69 and so is it for lots of race fans) So we will stay home and roast hot dogs and listen to the race.
Jules- Sounds like a wonderful apt. I know DD will enjoy the park and all with the 3 year old. (and new baby) Congrats by the way. You are correct that we sometimes wonder who raised the kids...they do what they want once gone from us. BUT..you know what? Some of our life lessons to them stick. I am amazed at how often I hear my girls repeating things I had said to them when they were growing up....and their kids get tired of hearing it...just like the girls did. HAHA
Sassy- Well good for you miss Sassy! Isn't it funny how GOOD we feel after we do something that is good for us? Sometimes I just push myself to exercise and then feel all glowy and glad I did it. And you got the fun of seeing the animals while you were exercising. Yay for you!! I am loving bicycling and really trying to decide if I want to buy a new one. This one is a 31 year old coaster brake bike that belonged to DD and was in our shed when we moved. I cleaned it all up, but couldn't get all the rust removed...lol. It pedals easy as can be, but needs a new seat. *ouch*
Happy W.E. all...............
05-25-2007, 01:13 PM
Just a quick fly by this morning ladies....
I got my walk in....little over 2 miles. I was going to wait until tonight but then thought, I wanna relax tonight after work!!!
Getting my motivation groove back. As I've mentioned before I've had some bumps in the road that needed to be dealt with but all is getting back on track.
I hope you all have a great day and that you have a safe weekend if you're out and about. There will be lots of drivers on the road.
Posting this in case no one really pays attention to the announcements. :D
So....while we're down.....go enjoy the day!!
Off to work I go.
05-25-2007, 05:32 PM
Marti ~ It's GREAT to walk in the morning because at least you know all day long that you got your exercise in...it makes you feel great too! :)
Sue ~ my legs felt the same after the first few day of my walking. My calves really hurt for the first 10 minutes of my walk. But now no pain! It's GREAT! But yes, when it hurts you just have to warm up and eventually, for me, the pain stops. :)
Jules ~ that's funny, my mom and I were having this conversation last night. I said something about how nice it'll be to only have 2 kids in school next year. She said I would miss her if she leaves next year. I said I KNOW! ;) It's harder not knowing what they are doing day to day. I think I can be a little annoying by calling so often. I have a daughter that is in Hollywood. She's been outta the house for 1 year....almost.
Sassy ~ I enjoy reading your posts lately! :) It makes me smile and the motivation just shines through! Keep it up lady! You're doing so great! :) I got my buddy here in town motivated too. Now she's walking on her treadmill...supplimenting missed meals with a slimfast bar...eating salmon...like me! ;) I'm thrilled!
Everyone else....hope that everything is going great for you! ;) I'm still walking daily...sometimes twice! It's great. I gotta go now tho so I'll write later! Have a great DAY!
05-25-2007, 05:52 PM
Thanks everybody for the support and encouragement. ;) Well so much for getting up early today. :p We didn't get up until 11:30! :yikes: Aw well, we got my mom home and are home now and can relax tonight and try to get back on our sleep cycle since we work Sat & Sun.
Sure wish we had a pool, that would be awesome and great exercise too........Aw well. Maybe someday, eh? lol. I know I could re-join the Y but I know there is less of a chance of me going up there to exercise rather than just right here at home, so no use in wasting our money.........Plus I am really not motivated by working out in front of strangers..........at least just yet. Maybe once I lose some then I will.
I think you all are doing great! :)
Keep up the Great work ladies, you're awesome! :D

Hi everyone,
Boy, I've been busy, but have gotten a lot done. My house is nice and clean, I've attended 2 meetings, got caught up on some paperwork, spent time w/the grandkids, and have things under control for the party on Sunday. Shrek 3 was a big hoot, and I like it as much as the kids, if not more, lol. Tomorrow I need to do some of the cooking that I can do ahead of time for Sunday. This is for family and a few friends, too.
I've been OP and am making a little progress on the elliptical.
Not sure when the new server will be up and running, but know it will be ASAP. In the meantime, have a great holiday weekend!
05-25-2007, 10:25 PM
Tina--As for the daughter, got one too!!! But then again, I couldn't live without her. Vent away!!
Sue--I agree about the kids moving out. I'm a half empty nester. My son is out and my daughter will be going sometime over the next 2 years. Thank goodness for my dogs. They are the only thing that will probably keep me sane.
Pink Jane--I'll take the opposite of what you have. I'd gladly let my dh go for 2-3 days a month and keep him the rest of the month. I don't know how you do it with only seeing dh a few days a month. I bet he really sees your weight loss. You're probably a different women every time he returns home!!
Jules--I'm only about an hour away from Hagerstown. I've never been to the outlets there...have you?? I have a friend that goes there often. Good luck with your daughter's apartment shopping!
Marti--Thanks for the announcement for Sat night. I'll just do my lurking!! As for walking in the morning...good for you. I am so not a morning person. I admire people who are!
Hugs to Jane, Cristina, Vann, Sassy, Michelle, Mindee!!
I don't know if anyone remembers me asking about root canals a few weeks ago. Well, I had one which is still giving me discomfort and my dentist has been dragging his feet to crown the dang thing. Well yesterday the tooth broke. So today, I'm off the the endodontist to get a look/see and he pulls the broken part out and packs the rest of the tooth in hopes that my regular dentist can do "heroic measures" (his exact words) and restore the tooth. What a pain in the butt (I mean jaw)!! I have to go to the hero dentist on Tues and see if he can save it or head to an oral surgeon to pull it. Whatever happened to the general dentist that could do it all? Now we have to run all over town to see several different specialist. Instead of getting depressed....I mixed myself up a pitcher of frozen orange creamsicles and topped it off with an extra shot of rum. Should make my jaw feel better. I wonder how many WW points I drank lol!!
Working hard in the yard this weekend spreading 6 yds of mulch and re-staining the deck. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Memorial Day!!
05-25-2007, 11:00 PM
Good Evening Ladies:wave:
Was a Gorgeous day today but more rain tomorrow they say, blah!!!...Hubby called he is stuck in Boston until Monday when he has to pick up in Allentown again so he is not a happy camper...I did my 60 on the treadmill earlier and had a big salad for dinner...TOM showed up last nite double blah!!! LOL one of these days menopause will remember my name...the boy and I are going to see Pirates tomorrow, I can't wait I think I have watched Dead Man's Chest at least 5 times this week already and it's on again tonite LOL...well I am gonna watch The Fountain, I picked it up at Wally World today so I will say Good Nite and Have a Great Weekend All.
Tammy - LOL he says I am disappearing on him and that there's nothing to hold on to anymore, I wish LOL but I am workin on it. I didn't wanna scare you when you first mentioned a root canal but I had one in 1993 and it still hurts to this day, NEVER again, if I ever need another one I will just tell the dentist to pull it.
05-25-2007, 11:36 PM
Quick hello...I started riding tonight and got 1/2 mile and it rained. Thank goodness I got 2 miles in earlier. Ate OP today and feel pretty good. Love melon and it makes a nice lunch.
Finally got the front lawn re-seeded, right before the rain. How timely!
Got lots of little decorating things done today...loving my house more and more....if possible. :)
Happy Sat. all. :grouphug:
05-26-2007, 09:03 AM
Sue--If you have rain I will have it the next day or two. Yesterday before leaving dd's apt a thunder shower went through but we got nothing here at the house.
PinkJane--I feel for your hubby--the PA turnpike is terrible and PA has some of the hugest ticket fines!!
Tammy--the outlets can be nice if you know your prices--some stuff is really a very good deal. There are a couple of stores I go to alot. I have just found the Carters outlet for baby shower gifts and there is a Children's Place I have the feeling I will be going to alot!! My daughter has a few stores she really likes and there is a paper place where I get all my wrapping paper boxes and balloons and most of my Christmas cards.
Jane--Shrek3 does sound fun--I can't wait to have my first grandchild!!
Sassy--DH wants a pool and a spa next for next summer after everything is paid off, I can't wait!!
Tina--My kids and I call each other alot and since they are close I do get to see them. Sometimes too much other times not enough!!
Marti--hope you get your motivation back!!
Well, hi to everyone else--gotta go!!
05-26-2007, 12:24 PM
Hey girls....woke up this morning and felt kinda weird. I'm retaining some fluid or something...was up like 1.5 on my digital. Im not worried because I didn't eat anything bad yesterday. I just didn't drink enough water and had some diet coke. And my BAD foot is acting up I think. I went to Target with DH and we bought me a new pair of workout pants. My old ones from Victoria Secret were cute and all but they were falling down. Haha! I'd try to run and hafta pull them up. So anyhoo...I was all dressed to walk last night in my new clothes and I put my shoe on and realized my left foot was more swollen than usual. So I put my foot up instead of walked. Kinda a disappointment for me since I don't want this problem to BE a problem for me with my walking. But I thought , well I walked 3.1 that morning. And It shouldn't hurt me. But BAM I'm up 1.5. So I'm just going to keep on keeping on and hopefully my foot doesn't turn into an all out problem for me this weekend. :P
(for those of you that didn't know from before I have this thing in my left foot called lymphnodemia and sometimes I get infections in my foot and it causes me to get really sick)
05-26-2007, 04:35 PM
Hey Ladies!
Jules -- You Lucky Chica! Are you going to have a Pool Party when you get yours? lol. ;)
Hi Tina! WTG on the loose pants! :carrot: I sure hope your foot is okay and I hope you don't get really sick.
I also started a new thread in the Jaded Ladies, its called: Zero or Very Low Calorie Summertime Snacks and Recipes (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1709963#post1709963). I thought it would be a great place to share some Zero or Very Low Calorie Snacks and Recipes for the Summertime??!! So feel free to add your favorites! ;)

I JUST had to write. Ya know I'm feeling a bit down due to my foot. I can just feel the cellulitis coming and I want it not to come. (This is something the depresses me usually) But I went for a walk this morning to ignore it and when I got to my moms house (after 2 miles of walking) I felt bad. And my foot ached. So she ended up driving me home. And I was just feeling plain yucky about my foot and my scale going up today and just yuck. And I was talking to my son and told him I had walked 2 miles but had to be driven home due to my foot and HERE'S WHERE THE GOOD PART COMES IN....He tells me his Buddy was asking him the other day, 'has your mom lost a bunch of weight?'. hahaha! I'm like WOW....A 16 year old kid noticed I lost weight and actually mentioned it to my son which to me means more than to me...because if he said it to me he might have just been trying to 'kiss up' to me like those boys always seem to love to do! :P
So today I'm going to take it easy this afternoon and then I'll get to cleaning once my hubby and son go off to work....(they normally don't work on Saturday but we had to cover some employees) So....that was my day so far! It feels good and it keeps me from blowing it due to my feeling down today...which in the past this would've been the appropriate opportunity in MY MIND...to eat badly. haha!
05-28-2007, 09:15 AM
Tina--the not eating when depressed is another NSV!! When I get stressed or depressed I am one to either continually graze or not eat at all and just sleep. My husband gets the gout in his foot and has terrible pain so I really feel for you!!
Sassy--hubby is tight when it comes to money but the pool is something he wants so hopefully we will really get it. Thanks for the summer snack idea!!
Well everything but one box which I forgot at my house is at dd's new place. We finished moving the rest of her stuff from the old apt she shared yesterday and then I helped her get everything put away. She only has the pictures to put on the walls and her bf is bringing some more of his stuff. They have to do some laundry today--I brought some of it home with me--extra blankets and stuff which I will wash and hang on the line. His parents are coming over today so I mopped all the floors for dd. Both of us were sore from all the up and down trips on the stairs.
Hubby is jealous that I have been spending so much time helping dd I need to stay home and do nothing since I have already did all our laundry and cleaned the house. I guess I will mow the grass while he spends the day in the garage!!
05-28-2007, 01:56 PM
Happy Memorial Day, ladies!
Tammy - hmmm... I've had 2 root canals, and no problems with either, except when I put off getting a crown on the 1st one, the tooth broke after about 2 years. I'm so sorry you're going through this. The rum creamsicles sound like a very good antedote, lol.
Pink Jane - so how was Pirates? My Katie was planning to see it over the weekend - she is a huge fan of the Pirate movies, and of Johnny Depp in particular.
Sue - I'm surrounded, literally, by melons. Watermelons and cantaloupes, too. I'm having a hard time waiting for them to be ripe.
Jules - I like Children's Place, too. Old Navy has some of the cutest baby clothes - be sure and check them out, too. They even have sox and other accessories to match the outfits, and it's all very affordable. Hey, glad you got DD moved. I like to hang out my blankets, sheets, and rugs to dry. They smell sooooo good!
Tina - have you thought about investing in an elliptical? They are very easy on the feet, and I bought one because of my plantar's fasciitis. My podiatrist recommended it, and so far, so good.
Sassy - I saw your new thread and will check it out here in a few minutes. I've got some items to list, if they aren't already mentioned.
A big hello to everyone else!
Gina's dad died Saturday morning. :( I'm so glad she has little Jackson and the other 2 kids to focus on to help keep her mind diverted some of the time. The party yesterday did take her mind off of it for a little while.
I'm worn out and plan to just goof off today. What's on your agenda?
05-28-2007, 04:26 PM
A quick hello ladies.
Will do individuals tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great day!
Today is WI and I am down 2 pounds, woohoo!
05-28-2007, 04:31 PM
Good to see you, Cristina, and a big WOOHOO for the 2 lbs down. :cp:
Vann, Jodi, Mindee, Marti, Jen, Karin, newbie Michelle - where are you?
05-28-2007, 08:44 PM
Hi Ladies!
How was everybody's Memorial Day? Mine is fine, now that I'm off again! lol.
Jules -- Glad that DD is all moved in and now can relax and focus on baby. I have laundry to do too. Always fun.....:p Yeah a pool would be so good for me and my DH as we both have arthritis so it would make exercising easier and a lot cooler in the summertime! I bet you can't wait until you all get yours! :D YW for the Summer Snack Idea. I was inspired and wanted to share. Me INSPIRED! :D (Did you hear that Tina! lol) Plus I am definitely a snacker so I wanted to have some good and HEALTHY ideas! ;)
Cristina -- WTG on the weightloss! :woohoo: That is awesome!
Hi Jane, thanks for contributing to the summer snacks & recipes. Lots of great ideas! :)
Well I am just glad to be home and not working or going anywhere. lol. Work was very very boring Sat & Sun when we worked, dunno why we had to work as we were dead, the one guy could have handled it all by himself, but aw well, we didn't have use up anymore of our time and got paid time and a half plus holiday pay too.
This new medicine that my dr has me on for my diabetes is really working! I am thinking he may have to up it to twice a day but its working and I feel great! :carrot: Only downfall is one of the side effects is Rapid Weight gain, so not sure about that one. Guess I will have to ask him when I see him.
I hope you all had an awesome Holiday! ;)
05-29-2007, 02:24 PM
This will be a quicky since my computer is SO slow due to hubby doing a project on the computer. I can't stand how slow it is..............so I haven't been on here much this weekend.
Had a good weekend for the most part. Spent most of it alone. Got some work done in the garden area.......raking up leaves from last fall!! (no fun) Good arm workout that's for sure.
Just about time for work so I better scoot.
I will post more once hubby is done w/his stuff. Until then, it'll only be quickies from me!
05-29-2007, 02:48 PM
Hello ladies
JANE...:thanks: hope you guys had a fun time at the BBQ. And WTG on staying OP and exercising! :carrot: Sorry to hear about Gina's dad. Lots of hugs to her. You know, I wonder if he was just holding out for little Jacksons birth. Did he get to meet little Jackson? Hugs to you all.
SASSY...:thanks: and glad the meds are working for ya. Bummer, that one of the side effects is weight gain, ugh. Seems like there would be something to counter act the side effects. Hey, at least you were paid good for not hardly working!
TINA...sorry your feet were bothering you, hope they are better today.
JULES...glad you guys got Teri all moved and settled in. Now she can focus on the baby. Hope they love their new place. How are you and the hubby doing? Hope he's doing better.
MARTI...I know exactly how you feel about a slow computer. Only ours is slow because we still have dial-up, ugh! I don't mind it so much. I don't do anything or watch videos on it so it doesn't matter to me most days. It is really bad maybe twice a month so, something I can deal with. We were going to go with DSL or whatever it was, the cable, but I hate change and stayed with the ever so faithful AOL, lol. Raking leaves??? That is definitely a work out but I bet your yard is looking pretty!
SUE...WTG on the biking! I'm thinking about getting me a new bike so we can ride the neighborhood. I gave my old one (which wasn't so old and I hardly ever road because of the handle bars) to Habit for Humanity. Just have to find one I like. WTG on getting your lawn seeded, perfect timing!
PINKJANE...you are doing GREAT with your 60 mns. on the treadmill every day! :carrot: You are inspiring me to do it too! Well, not 60 mns. but I am getting in 40. How do you do it? I listen to music but it still bores me after a while. I need to get a t.v. maybe. Anyway, keep on truckin' missy!
TAMMY...you are a great sis! Speaking of sis, where is she, lol? If you're finished staining your deck wanna come on over and do ours? I didn't think so, darn it, lol. We tried to get something done. Did get the posts up for the pergola but it is tooo muddy to do anything. And we are supposed to get more rain! Sorry about having troubles with your tooth. Hope it is better and they took care of it for ya. Was it you who posted the link for barstools? We bought a new dining room set and it's one of the counter height ones. Thinking the chairs would be high enough for the bar we got extra chairs. But the chairs are 24 ins. high and we need 30 in. for the bar so now trying to find some the same style and design and I am pretty sure I saw some on that site...help please! :)
HI to everyone else
Nothing much going on here today. I wish it would quit raining! The stupid weather guy said that there was a chance of sunshine today and in the same sentence said it would be raining, severe at times, lol. Love that now they are saying there's a chance of sunshine instead of a chance of rain. Anyway...had some errands to run this morning early, cleaning house and walking on the treadmill. I feel so energized I have to get it out! So going to do 2 miles as soon as I get off the 'puter. That's about all I have for now.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

A short note today - I won't be around for a bit because Neal and I are picking up Terry and Gina's kids in a little while, and keeping them through tomorrow after the funeral and the dinner afterwards.
Cristina - yes, he did get to meet and hold Jackson before he died, and Gina got photos. I agree that's what he was waiting for. Thank you for asking. Mackenzie (8) is having a very, very hard time with his death, which makes me so sad for her! Btw, all of your rain is supposed to be here by Thursday. The farmers need it, so it's ok. :)
Hello to everyone else.

Cristina--the website is canadel.com. Click on workshop, then on to the stools. I know that they have both heights of stools. As for my sis...she was visiting our other sis in WVA for the long holiday weekend. I just talked to her, actually wineing to her about my tooth!
Jane--sorry to hear about Gina's Dad :( Geez....I'm watching Days of our Lives and some guy just woke up from a 6-9 mo coma and he actually sat up in bed and them got up and walked.....only on the soaps!!
Update on my dental/mental well being...my dentist was able to restore my tooth that had a root canal...then broke. After 2 1/2 hr in the dentist chair, I'm in a tad bit of agony with my gum being sliced away (tooth broke below the gumline) and my entire tooth being rebuilt from the inside out. Total cost about $3000. (yes, I have insurance to cover about half) Now that's one eye redo with my plastic surgeon!! I swear I will never get my eyes done at this rate! I feel my pain meds kicking in and awaiting my daughters return with my low fat sugar free smoothie. Talk later gals.

I hope your all having a great evening. Its really hot today. It was 91 before when I went to the grocery, now its "down" to 85...........phew........
I THOUGHT we were supposed to get some rain???
Anyways I rescheduled my catscan its in the morning at 5 a.m. Perfect for me as we usually are getting off of work at 4:30 a.m. so we don't usually go to bed until about 6:30 or 7 a.m. so I can go to bed after I'm done with that and I won't have to wait because I'm the first appt!!!!!! :carrot:
Have a Good One!

Just a flyby. Things are calming down in my life. I have been battling a little bit of depression (which with the dose of antidepressants I am on I can't understand) but I think it is just the stress getting to me. My daughter turned 14 over the weekend and school is out tomorrow at 1:30. Just got to keep the kids busy until the end of the month. I have some dog sitting jobs to do in June and then on the 30th (our 17th anniv) we are going to TN for a whole week! When we get back we will be into marching band season, so it will be hectic until Oct when marching band season is over.
Hi to everyone....

Good Evening Ladies:wave:
Just got done with my 60 on the treadmill...was starting to think I was gonna have to miss a day with all the thunderstorms we're having today, I have visions of the power going off and me going flying LOL, but I got my walk in...we're under another flood watch here, it's better than snow but gees I am tired of rain...Hubby is on his way to Kentucky then to Chicago...well I am gonna make a big salad and with a chicken breast for my dinner and see what's on the tube...Have a Good Evening All.
Cristina - Good going on the treadmill...I watch tv while I walk so it makes the time go by but it's still pretty boring LOL
Your next WDW vacation is 102 days away!
05-30-2007, 11:50 PM
Good evening ladies.
Pink Jane..Sure glad they let you back in. Did you forget your deodorant...or were they just being mean? :)
Jodi- Nice to see you...and I do hope things are calming down for you. Marching band is a BIG thing in Indiana isn't it? Does your school go to the State fair? I have been to band day a time or two...had a good friend who's daughter marched.
Not lots going on here...we are needing that rain Jane...sorry you are tired of it. Did my running today then just a bit of housework. Watered plants and pulled a few weeds. Watched the movie "Because I Said So" with Mom. Funny, chick flick. Watched "Failure to Launch" yesterday. Cute too.
Going to LV next month to finalize the SELLING of our property. YES! It sold!!
I hope to get up and ride in the morning....and hope I can eat as well as I did today. Someday a pound will drop............haha.
05-31-2007, 01:26 PM
Okay...I am the only one with NO LIFE and able to post all the time.
Just wanted to say I rode 3 miles on the bike this morning. I ate Cheerios after my ride, so breakfast was light. (w/skim milk)
Watermelon will be my snack/lunch here in a minute since we are going for any early dinner. I already know that I will have a big salad and a cup of soup for dinner. Hopefully if I change my mind I can change it to something equally low calorie.
Looks like rain and we need it!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful sunny day.
edited to add that the soup will have chicken and I will have crackers. Don't want you to think I am NOT eating enough. :)

Busy day yesterday. Was on the computer long enough to sign in and then realized the time, lol. Busy day today too!
DD and I went to see The Waitress yesterday afternoon. It was good, and funny. It was kind of sad at the the same time. The one girl, Adrienne Shelley who wrote the movie a while back and was trying to sell was killed not too long ago. So sad. She finally gets her movie sold and some dummy kills her. Her little girl was in the movie as well. It's not a movie for everyone but we liked it.
Did the Wally World thing this morning. So tired. Woke up at 2:30 and could not go back to sleep, ugh. I hate when that happens because then I am a grouch the rest of the day.
Didn't get a walk in today but there is still time. Did get in a 3 mile walk yesterday and a little over 2.5 the day before. Was on a roll for sure. Need to tally up my miles for the month and see how much I did. I know I didn't make my 50 mile goal because of the week my back was out but I think I did okay.
SUE...WTG on the biking! :carrot: Glad to hear you guys sold the LV place! :woohoo:
JODI...sorry you've been stressed. A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DD! :bday2:
TAMMY...thanks for the link! :thanks: Forgot your sis was away, oops. :) That is one expensive tooth!
HI to everyone else, JANE, both MICHELLES, VANN, JULES, MARYKATE, JUDY, TINA, MARTI, oh my goodness, I know I missed someone, sorry.
Today is finally a nice, sunny day! :sunny: Of course we are supposed to get storms later this evening and tomorrow. Anyway...hope everyone is having a great day! TaTa for now

Well, geez louise! I thought I had mentioned you Sassy. I swear I posted to you. Losing my mind  I know what I did...I copied my post from the other thread and accidentally deleted you, oops, my bad!
Okay, HELLO SASSY! Lol Hoping you are having a good day!
05-31-2007, 05:52 PM
Sue- yes last yr was the first yr that we went to state fair. I was disappointed at the space they have to perform there. I thought it was going to be a big deal, and it just wasn't. My husband and I hadn't been the state fair since we were in high school and dating, so my kids had never been before. The fair didn't live up to all the hype either- lol
Last year though the band made it to regionals and so we got to go to Chesterton in Northern Indiana. So marching band has taken us to places we have never been before. It's interesting to see all the other school's shows too. I got to laughing last year because the yr before was our first yr so we didn't know anything. Then last yr we thought it was like Nascar or something, we knew the bands and who was going to beat us and who wasn't- lol.

Pink jane-you are doing great on the treadmill. Both my kids are big Johnny Depp fans. My fave has to be Benny and June.
Jodi--the state fair sounds fun. We are taking DD's new bf's 3 year old to the carnival tonite if it doesn't rain.
Sassy-hope you are doing well!!
Cristina--The Waitress does look good. DD and I want to go see "Knocked Up" Teri says Dave wasn't a one night stand but she got "knocked up" fast herself. It should be funny.
Sue--yay on the LV property selling!!
Tammy--ouch on the dental work!!
Jane-Sorry about the death in the family. Hugs to you and yours!!
Well, I need to get going to the grocery store!!
06-01-2007, 12:34 PM
Boy....I've been so busy that I just haven't had time to pop in. DD had her last choir program the other night and her last band recital last night. And tonight we're heading off to go to my son's graduation!!
Pretty excited. Been 7yrs since I've "seen" him. Jhanai is so excited that she can burst. It'll be a fun reunion.
Ok.....I need to shower and get out of here. Just wanted to let you know I haven't gotten lost.
06-01-2007, 06:43 PM
Jules- hope you have fun at the carnival. Dh is taking me to stock car races tonight- yipeee
06-02-2007, 03:32 AM

06-02-2007, 11:27 AM
Good morning...Just got in from riding 3 miles today..got 2 miles in yesterday.
It is more humid today...and you mid-westerners know about humidity. UGH! The temp. was the same as yesterday, but so humid my tee got soaked from riding.
Food has been good..except that darn little cup of ice cream yesterday. At least I did keep it little.
I am dreading going to LV all ready...it is over 100* there. Yikes! The reason we usually went in the winter. :)
Okay...gotta go dust and clean bathrooms. Tackled Mt. Washmore yesterday and really have a few pieces to iron. (not lifes biggest highlight!)
06-02-2007, 02:57 PM
Hello ladies, and a Happy Saturday to all! :D
Nuttin much going on. Was up bright and early this morning so I could get things done. Now everything is done and I am bored, lol! Doing a load of laundry now. I'll find something to do today...walking sounds good I guess, lol. Haven't walked the last two days because I have been busy. I know...no excuse. Should make time for it. But I figure if I get at least 3-4 days a week I am good. I aim for more but it doesn't always happen. Just depends on what is going on with the day and how tired I am. Anywho...
SUE...wtg on your biking! I was out early this morning and saw several people biking...was the perfect time. Kind of foggy though. Now the sun is shining and it is going to be in the 80's! Don't blame you for not wanting to go to Vegas with those temps.
SASSY...I remembered you missy! :D Just losing my mind, lol. Hoping you have a good day today!
JULES...that looks like a cute movie! Thqt may be the next one we go see. There is a movie called Joshua coming out soon that I want to see. I like scary/weird/messed up movies sometimes, lol. Did you guys make it to the carnival?
PINKJANE...WTG on your treadmilling! :carrot: :carrot:
JODI...our state fair isn't much but it's something to do. We always seem to go on the days they are having the band competitions, not planned, just works out that way. Last year was the first year we actually went and stayed most of the day and really enjoyed ourselves.
MARTI... how special...your son will be happy to have you at the graduation. Now, has Jhanai met him before? Bet that was something to get together, you must be proud! Hope you took some pictures to share!
Hiya everyone else
Not sure what I will do today. Spend some more time on the 'puter and wait for the well guy to come. Haven't heard one way or the other if they are still coming or not. Last I heard they would be here today...we'll see.
Have a GREAT weekend ladies!
06-02-2007, 03:49 PM
Well, I'm ONE pound away from my most recent goal of 40 pounds down! ;) And the best thing is that I've been having grad parties! :) Thursday for my sons JR HI grad and Yesterday my daughters highschool one. I went to Mexican on Thursday late like at 9pm and had shrimp (I heard that's the best choice at mexican restraunts) and I had a salad with that! And then last night I had a BBQ here and had a chicken salad first and just a FEW tortilla chips and then had my cheeseburger without the bun and toppings....just salt and pepper. And I was down both mornings! So I"m happy about that...surprised but happy! Anyhoo....i'm gungho to finish this out...to the end and then continue by keeping it off! Well, I want to do individuals but my son is having 25 kids over here today to swim in about 2 hours so I"m off to prepare for WAR! hahaha! Naw...really it'll be great! So.....one more down to make small goal and then the next will be to get into those 150's. :P I'm enjoying this ride for sure. I love now that people are noticing my achievement. I even had my 14 year old son ask me how much I had lost because he thought I looked thinner. :) Yeppers! Have a good day ladies. I"ll try to get more individuals maybe by tomarrow. And can you guys keep voting for brit?
