Default Plateau

Hey Ladies!
I'm stuck on a plateau! I'm not sure what to change to bust through it. I'm doing WW and my calories/points vary per day (if i come in under points nd I'm not hungry i don't eat more) I'm eating more veggies and I'm working out at PT twice a week. Any input would be good b/c I'm actually gaining! I mentioned this to my DH and he went FREAKSHOW
You can gain OMG *foreheadsmack*
for those who don't know I'm almost 10 months post op from bypass surgery.
Thanks
Kier

Your doing great, you have come a long way. I would try to up my activity. If you are sure you are counting points right, but you are probably *due* for a platuea, you went a long time without one, judging by your ticker. So i would just up activity a bit. I dont know what is safe for you, since you are post op, but even just a few extra walks down the drive way could help. I platuea quickly if i dont get in any cardio at least 4 times a week.

I read about someone else having the same thing happen on WW because she wasn't eating enough. You should try and make sure you get all your points in.

yeah, i think that sometimes when you don't eat that much your metabolism slows down, i've heard a lot of times that if you are at a plateau it may be good to actually up the calories for a few days to get your metabolism working more.

Kier,

I had the same problem at about 10 months. At that point, my surgeon & dietitian both suggested that I stop worrying about my goal and let my body tell me when it is time to stop for awhile. I still lose a little, but my goal for the next several months is to find a eating pattern that I can live with for the rest of my life without gaining.

If I have a gain, I look back at my diary and usually find that it is a day when I have had excessive carbs &/or sodium and not enough protein. Watch those things primarily. Also my dietitian wants me to stay around 1200 calories & 70 grams protein daily.
