1. clean off the ironing board I didn't clear off yesterday
2. excercise 30 minutes
3. Go all liquid all day. (3 shakes, plus soups, broths)-- No emotional eating like yesterday! If faced with emotional eating, will drink water, have 1 serving of soup, then use my journal to write about the emotional stress instead of EATING over it.
4.Address house mgmt. needs in planner
Anyone want to join? Today is just one day. One set of goals to make me thinner and more like the person I want to be. I'm trying to build a skill-set that allows me to deal with my emotions without food.
Good goals, Evilah. Be sure to check with your doctor, though, about any change to your medically monitored plan--perhaps you really need that one meal you were having.
My goals are:
- Go to the gym
- Finish a work project that's been hanging on for weeks
- Eat on plan
I drifted a little yesterday on the last one--but still managed a calorie deficit. (I'm a calorie counter.)
- Move and reset an endcap at work
- Read a few sections in my Bible
- drink water the rest of the day (had sweet tea with breakfast)
- come up with a topic for my article due Thursday
Maybe we should have a daily goals thread that we start. It'll help me hold myself accountable for something. Have a great day!
1. I cleaned off about half of my ironing board. I can't believe its such a chore.
2. I excercised for 20 minutes.
3. I ate an apple, 1 shake, and a large meal (vegetarian nachos)-- with juice (diluted). I feel fat... you know how it feels when you eat too much.... I don't think the nachos were THAT much, and I keep going over my day in my head, trying to figure out if I ate something I forgot about it. All I can come up with is a few almonds to tide me over in the morning. The scale looks high too so maybe I'm retaining water.
4. Yay me, I did lots of house mfmt chores today, so I'm proud of myself. This is a good goal... It's something I always do, but it feels good to give myself credit for it.
lumifan4ever,
How did you do with your alphabetizing and excercising?
decade,
how did you day go?
Jay,
do you have one of those devices that measures your output? What are they called? Bodybuggs?
Evilah, I don't have any body device. My FitDay planner has calorie estimates for many activities and exercises, and also the gym machines have calorie estimates. Usually the machines' estimates are high, though--so I just have to be aware of that when figuring out my deficit for the day.
WOW! How did I miss these threads? I think someone had pointed me to them awhile ago, but I am dense! : )
I like the idea of this because I struggle with other goals besides fitness and wt loss goals.
So, today:
1) Clean the kitchen (done)
2) On plan breakfast (done), lunch (will be a challenge....a McDonald's picnic with my 7 year old's class, if I was smart I would pack a lunch, alas! I will have something small, no fries, and water), on plan dinner
3) Exercise: run this evening
4) Edit 100 pages of my novel-in-progress.
Wow Midwife...sounds like a busy day to go on a field trip to mcdonalds and still get 100 pages edited. Good luck!! I hope you have alot of fun at your field trip. I do enjoy going on field trips with my 7 year old.
Plan for today:
a. Finish experiments without wanting to jump out a window. (Sigh. Been very stressful week)
b. Do 20 minutes Tae Bo tonight
c. Control portions when eating in the evening and stick to fruits and veggies for dinner.
d. Talk to bf.
Well, I didn't drink the whole 20 oz, but it was close I think.
I also didn't stay on points... by dinner, I was hungry and didn't have enough points, so I just said **** with it and ate... Of course, it showed on the scale this morning.
