You guys sound like you are having so much fun dating...I'm almost jealous!!!
Happy...I don't envy you packing and I especially don't envy you having to move twice...but the condo sounds nice. I love my house and big yard but it is a lot of work!!!
Candice...how's the arm? Did you finally get all your Christmas cards done? I haven't started mine. That is something I need to get done next week...not enough time!
Joanne...hope you didn't hurt yourself too bad when you fell!!! :o
I spent TEN hours in the bed last night. I went to bed at 10pm...I was soooo tired!!! I'm a little bit sore from the therapist yesterday...she dug nearly to the bone! Hubby gave me his cold and I'm miserable. I sent him an email to work yesterday. It said, "I'm miserable, I hate you!"
I'm still tired, even after getting all that sleep. But I'm going to go walk before I pick Ross up at school at 3. The college (about a mile and a half from his school) has a large indoor track open to the public. It's heated in winter and has air in summer. There's a sidewalk all the way around it so you can walk outside when the weather permits. The inside is a huge indoor, sunken basketball arena. They have games and concerts there. When something is going on there the track is closed but that's usually at night. There is glass all the way around so it's almost like being outside! The only thing I don't like about it is it is concrete.
I lost a couple more pounds!!! Haven't cheated once since I started WW. Not even Thanksgiving Day!!! :dizzy:

Mima, I don't do a tree either but I do have lights up outside and just starintg to get my snowmen out, but with this arm my Dh says not to get too much out cause he doesn't want to help with anything!
He is a party pooper!
Happy.. I have never had a real tree since I have been married..just didn't like the mess!!!!!!i have always decorated a lot though but this thing called age is slowing me down!

Happy- What a time to have to move.. Right in the Holiday season.. Hope you found a really nice place.
Meme- 10 hours in bed. We know it was not all sleeping.. If I was as busy as you ,I might do the same thing. I would just have to make sure my Hubby was on vacation somewhere. I am lucky if I stay in bed beyond 6-7 a.m. I'm too hyper.
Candice - I don't usually do a lot of decorating ,but, will probably do more this year as most everyone will be here. It is really tiring. My hubby is not good about helping either and I have to put it up and take it down. I can see that as I get older ,I am trying to make my life as simple as I can.
Hey Ally,Mima...Bye ,Joanne

In Fibro Fog Land today! It is raining out and I have Jenna Rae...can't think! I'm typing this between feeding her bites of toast and philly (her favorite snack!!!) She eats every hour or two. She had a whole cereal bar at 7:30...then at 8:30 came in the kitchen and said I want toast! ha. She'll be hungry again by 10!!! She's standing here at my keyboard (which is right beside my computer desk) with her foot on the pedal singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (with her mouth full of toast!!!) Between the Fibro Fog, her and this miserable cold It's a wonder I can even type!
I decorate A LOT at Christmas. Everybody always comes here Christmas Day...plus I have the little ones a lot during the week and they really enjoy the Christmas decorations. Hubby puts lights up along the roof line...the kind that drop down and looks like icilces. He also puts some on the bushes out front and along the deck in the back. He said he was going to do that Saturday while I'm shopping. He's supposed to put up the tree tonight while I'm teaching and we're going to decorate it when I get finished...if I'm able (and remember to come back upstairs!!!)
I've got most of my snow village up. I cover the whole top of my entertainment center with lighted buildings, an ice pond with a bridge and skaters, trees and people. I put it on quilt batting and then cover that with sparkly snow when I'm done. I have all the buildings up but have to get in the closet in the basement and find my people...they are hibernating! ha. I've got the Nativity scene up. I have a 9 ft. ledge about 2 feet over my bar in the kitchen where I always put that. I bought a train set this year to put around the tree. I have another village (smaller buildings) that I used to put on my piano when I had a lot of students...I think I'm going to put that one under the tree "inside" the train track. Don't know what I'll do with my packages! If I don't get busy and get some shopping done there won't BE any presents. I have bought the kids their big toy, hubby got son and s-i-l a tool set at Sears the Friday after Thanksgiving, I bought my in-laws a Foreman grill (got me one, too...I love it!), and I've got the kids bonds. I got the boys, 5 & 6, a "Leap Frog Leap Pad"...got Jenna a little piano with a microphone on the side and a little stool...it is adorable...and she loves to "play" my painos and sing, it's battery operated and the microphone really works, and I got Kaylyn, 4 yr. old, a little "apple" laptop computer! Teaches letters, numbers, different and same, before and after, etc. I still have daughter, d-i-l, my mom, the kids clothes and hubby to go! I'm finishing out the "older" kids with money! I'm going to Nashville Saturday so maybe I can knock some of it off then! I'm going to Opry Mills...you may have heard of it...It took the place of Opry Land Amusement Park. It is HUGE. Then I'm going to go over to Hickory Hollow Mall and then Sams! (If I'm able to do all that in one day!)
Mima...your picture of Allison was probably too big and 3fc wouldn't post it. Do you remember what it said when you tried? Next time you type in a long message and you're afraid you might lose it, highlight the whole thing (you do that by clicking at the beginning then dragging your cursor arrow all the way to the end or just click anywhere in the box and click on "edit" then on "select all". Once it is highlighted, RIGHT click on it and choose "save" from the pop up box. Then, if you lose it when you try to post it you can pull the dialog box back up and RIGHT click in it, choose "paste" from the pop up box and there it is!!! In order to post a picture in here it has to be a certain size...if it is too big it won't post. I took the one of Allison and cut her out and then still had to resize that to make it smaller. Try to post a smaller picture. Just find one on the internet...I have a lot on my art site you could practice with. http://memeart.tripod.com/ choose one, RIGHT click on it, choose "save picture as" from the pop up box, save it somewhere where you'll know where it is, like in "My Documents" or something. Then next time you post a message, click on the "browse" button at the bottom of the dialog box, find the one you saved and click on it. Then post your message...it should be at the bottom. You'll never learn how unless you keep trying!!! If you have any trouble, let me know!!!
Sorry this is so long!!! :o
This is Mimas granddaughter, Allison, and her new "wheels"!

Just checking in quick....don't want you girls to think that I am spending all MY time in bed.
Don't I wish.
I find a guy I could really fall for and out of the blue his wife has decided that maybe they should try to reconciliate.
She has done this before and I don't believe it is at all sincere. I think intuitively she knows there is someone else and she is going to get competitive.
Well, I don't want to compete. I told him to get to a counselor and work on things and leave me out of it for a while.
Easier said than done since we work in the same building.
He feels extreme guilt since his kids want him back home.
Nothing is easy......
And due to stress I have been hitting the carbs.
Wish I had your energy ladies, I am going to become a slug thru these holidays. Haven't even thought about decorating.

Mima..when I try to post a picture that is too big I just click on the back button and it returns me to my post so I can go from there and not lose it!
Meme, What kinda lighted houses do you have??? I have some dept. 56 ones, Hummel ones and Helen Steiner rice ones, (they all have people and other stuff too!). Don't put them out anymore cause my hands are too bad and I tend to break stuff! I love them though, can't wait till I get DIL's so I can give them a set! I have too much stuff in this house and no storage either! Sounds like your house will look really nice, I just got some of my snowmen out and that was a pain...I have to do everthying Dh does not help with anything you are very lucky to have one that helps! All that shopping in one day... WOW!!!
Ally..too bad, seems that is always the case..Stop eating your carbs now before you bloat away! If he feels that way about his kids he must be sensitive guy!
Joanne..I need to scale down and have some but need to do more to make it easy on me! You have the right Idea, maybe we should Hire Meme to do all our decorating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(cleaning up too!)

Hallellujah!!!!One of my lost checks has been cashed-hopefully more will follow. And this one is local so it would be cashed first. What a relief. Oh Ally-I feel for you. I used to date a guy that was still tied to his ex emotionally-hadn't even gone through his divorce-it was so much stress. And my friend now-I went out with him 3 years ago and he was still in mourning for his wife and son and tied up in some crazy relationship. Now it seems different. I say seems because I have been fooled before. You really made a courageous decision when you said to get some counseling.I never want to be #2. Good luck and be strong!!!!Meme-I'll have to print out those directions. It takes me a long time to do computer stuff and all my kids are great at it-oldest is in the business. Thanks so much. They sent me that pic on e-mail.Going to mass this am-then have coffee with the old folks-then swim.We definitely should hire Meme for decorating-I'm sure she could squeeze it in.Haha!!!Be good Jo-anne, Happy, Candice. Ally- Don't let this guy and his baggage throw you!! His wife probably doesn't want him but she doesn't want anyone else to get him and you are probably better off. Although that is not what you want to hear right now. He does need to get help. Stay healthy and put a big sign on the fridge. NO!
Mima you are right ,we need Meme to decorate for us. I am still in the" thinking about it "stage.
Hello Candice. The cleaning up is the hardest after the Holidays. I get tired thinking about it. Thank God it will three months then till Easter.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well.
Mima, glad your lost checks are showing up.
Meme - do yo also have the Dept. 56 villages? They are nice. My cousin has tons of those.
Candice - look after your arm and don't overdo with trying to decorate.
Ally - To bad that fellow feels like he should go back to the wife. Kids are always a big drawing card. Joanne is right. Instead of carbs - eat meat! Not nearly as satifying as a nice creamy dish, but something you can sink your teeth into. I do feel badly for you, and it still may be ok.
Joanne - Hi. Hope you are feeling better after your fall.
I will now be off until Thursday. Taking the computer out tomorrow morning and setting it up at the new place, but the cable won't be hooked up until Thursday sometime. Talk to your then. Keep well and I will miss you.

Well, here's my diet trick for the week.
I ran into this guy's wife in the library. We know each other. She looked like she had seen a ghost when she saw me and she looked away.
Why do I feel guilty?
She sent him packing and said she didn't want him any more.
I think I feel guilty because she looked so horrible.
She is no competition.
She looks bedraggled and dumpy and depressed and miserable. A female version of my husband.
Well...at least it made me lose my appetite.
Yes...I have to go and get some meat right now. I have been hitting the crackers and cheese.
Last nite it was peanut butter and crackers.:( :(
Candicej
12-02-2001, 04:22 AM
Ally.......I had crackers and cheese last night too!!!!!!!!!!!(and I don't have man problems!;) I stopped at 8 points worth and I had those banked! Sometimes ya just gotta eat what your body craves but try to limit it! I want homeade Christmas cookies big time but don't want the calories or fat so I have not made any yet! (my arms are playing a part in that too!) Don't know if I can hold out over Christmas when we are at my mom's!!!!

Candice, what adorable snowmen! I got sick yesterday and couldn't go on my date last night. he was very sweet about it and I'm going to see him during the week. I still don't feel 100% and I'm supposed to take my grandaughter out for her birthday. But that's not til 4. My daughter had a virus and I was at her house the other day. Good luck Happy!!!and Ally? Remember that you deserve the best. Don't settle just because you want a man. Having settled many times, I am qualified to say that.Joanne-it was in the 70's here yesterday but there are no leaves on the trees. My best friend had her echocariagram and the pressure was down. It looks good. Prayers work. Bye for now. Hi Meme also!!!Mima

Mima- 70's?? We are in the 80"s and some of us are wishing for rain and the 70's.
Ally- Get it together! You don't need this grief. If the guys other half looks so bad maybe their are two sides to his story. Take care of yourself. You just might be better off without him. It is the Christmas season. Go to some parties and I bet there is another guy with more to offer than problems.
Candice- My sister and I were discussing the menu for Christmas.. We are combining with our children.. I am with you ,I hope to get through the Holidays without a gain. This will be the first Christmas we will have together since we were preteens.Did you make your snowmen? They are really nice. No snow here.
Happy- I have nothing but a few bruises. But I already had my left knee problem and have had a bad stomach flare for over a week. I am hoping it is not another ulcer. As things go ,I can't get in to see a Dr. till Wed. So I have stopped all meds I don't have to take. so far nothing much helps.I think the Celabrex started it all. Well really the knee pain.
Now you all know my woes! Got to get this resolved. I want to enjoy the Holidays.. Bye Joanne

Well, I wish I had met this guy 20 years ago, and that is one of the first things he said to me.
He is in my shoes.
His wife needs psychiatric help. She has been clinically depressed since their last child was born.
He is a nice guy, much like I was the nice guy in my marriage.
He twisted himself into a pretzel trying to find the thing that would make her happy.
The last thing was a deck and hottub and now he carries the payments for that along with more than half of their mortgage.
She didn't go back to work when the kids were in school, just sat home connecting with men on the internet.
It is sad, and now I suppose I add anger to that, to know that he and I have these clingon spouses who we are somehow responsible for the rest of our lives.
I just found out that my exhubby has not paid his life insurance in 8 yrs and if he had at least cancelled it he would have got the cash value. Instead they kept it active charging him quarterly for the premiums til the cash value is depleted. If he kicks the bucket right now....I have to pay.
Or my kids do.
He is depressed too.
Sorry to be so morose. At least I might lose a pound or two with all this angst.:^:

Joanne-how nice everyone can be together. My 2 younger children and I went to FL. 2 years ago and we were all together at Christmas. It was nice and I knew it was special. My new friend Brad got 10 pts inour relationship by praying for me when I was sick and calling to see how I was the next am. This feels very comfortable!!!Scary!!!!!!Ineed to keep in the present moment. I took my grandaughter out for her 14th birthday. Dad has a new girlfriend -that is good because he has been alone too long. Good for Jessica too. It would be nice if it worked out and Jess came to live with them and get away from her drinking mother. I am feeling better today-gotta catch up on my bills. Ally- hang in there. It's not what could have been -it's what is.I feel for you. Hey Meme-Are you out there memorizing lines!!!We know how busy Happy is. Hi Candice with the pretty pictures. Have a good day all. Mima

I'm still here...just cleared 54 messages out of my inbox...whew!!! There were 114 in my junk mail box to get rid of, too. I always scan them to make sure they are junk before I delete them!
Got all the play lines memorized already! I did my parts at practice last night without my script and didn't have to have any prompting!!! Was rather proud of that...I have the most lines and was the only one that didn't have to look at them!
Got the tree put up tonight but didn't get the train and village finished...ran out of time! Time, time, time...where does it all go. Had to go to the therapist at 9:30, met daughter for lunch then did some more shopping. Ran home for 2 hrs. and made a huge pot of soup and straightened up the house. Back to Cookeville and met son. He helped me with hubby's Christmas present. Then picked up Ross at school and took him to Burger Kings (he was hungry!) ;) Then home to finish the village on the entertainment center and decorate a little more. Ate and put up the tree then hubby wanted a little "free" entertainment in the bedroom...I'm absolutely dead!
Saturday I went to Opry Mills...did nearly half of that mall...then went on to Hickory Hollow and did about 3/4 of that one then went on to Sam's and did every aisle of it except automotive. Didn't get home until 9pm. Then went all day Sunday without a rest and now today!
I just got to thinking today...the Rheumatologist told me he wanted me to go to therapy, start walking and get more rest! OK...the therapy is taking up about 2 hrs. two to three times a week plus driving time, the exercises they gave me from therapy to do at home are taking 20 minutes, twice a day, 7 days a week. The walking (30 mins. three times a week) is taking 1 1/2 hrs. a week. Altogether, he has added over 12 hrs. a week to my "to do" list yet he wants me to get more rest! Isn't that just like a MAN???
Love the snowmen...(pretty, quiet little men who make no demands!!!) As soon as I get everything finished, I'll make some pictures to share! Hubby finally got all the outside lights done (and working!) They are gorgeous! He did the whole front of the house, shrubs, porch rails and all! I hope you will be able to see all my angels on the tree when I make a picture!
Gotta go to bed, I have to finish the village under the tree tomorrow morning, give a lesson at 1 and another at 2, go get Ross at 3, make dinner and then teach from 5 to 8. Then Wed. I have another P.T. app. at 9 and a Dr. app. at 10:30 on the other side of town and get in another 30 minutes of walking, then play practice Wed. night. I have Jenna Thur. and Friday...Thur. night is Kaylyn's Christmas play and Fri. night all 4 of the "older" kids are in a huge outdoor Christmas Pageant at their Church...gotta go see that! Got a full day again next Sunday and then start all over again with P.T and walking on Mon. Gotta get my Christmas shopping finished somewhere in all that crap...still have 6 presents and a gift card to buy and don't have ANYTHING wrapped yet!!!...plus I haven't even started on my Cards...and I have to help my Mom with her's!!! AND YOU GUYS WANT ME TO COME DECORATE FOR YOU??????? :o
I DON'T THINK SO!
My therapist asked me today when I was going to get some rest and I told her I was planning to come back as a cat in the next life. She asked why a cat and I said because then I could just eat until I was full, go crap in the corner and then curl up in the most comfortable chair in the house and go to sleep!!!

Meme- I am tired reading your post. I can say this how lucky you are to get your hubby to put up the outside lights. If I want them I have to do it. So I guess unless I can get my son to help me there will be only a few. I guess it will be less work after christmas for me.
Ally- Be Happy...
Mima- Have a good time and stop being scared. Maybe this time is the charm.
As for me, I would never try it again. I am probably at 69 (in March) older than you all. I have never been alone for any length of time in my life, I would not know what it is like. Someone told me that I would get lonely. I have so mamy projects going all the time ,I wonder how. My days are never long enough. I will have been married 48 yrs the 26th of Dec. The only magic formula I have found to men is give them what they want and keep them happy and the rest of the week is yours, sometimes.
Hello to Happy- Hope you are getting settled .

Meme......Really, I don't know how you would get any rest.
I don't even want to think about a tree. In fact, my kids are not all that interested and I just may let it go.
I have a lot of bad memories connected to the tree. My father used to throw hammers and yell and not talk to us while dealing with the tree and my husband was the same.
One year my boyfriend cut his finger to the bone while putting the tree up and sewed it up himself cause he didn't want to pay to go to the emergency room. Now that was fun.
Last year, the kids and I picked a "baby" tree and it was too small for the stand. We leaned it against the wall!!
I won't even think about something as involved as putting up outside lights.
I don't have shopping done either and it is not due to no time, it is due to no ideas.
Don't you hate shopping for those people who have everything???
I must be really easy to buy for.

Got my new mixer today and it had some nicks and scatches so I called the company and they said take it back to the store. So my son is doing that today and if they have another one in almond I will get that.....those things are heavy and me with my bad arms..this will make you laugh.......The corner I had it in was kinda dark so I moved it over to another part of the kitchen to repack it to take back and when I sat it down on the counter my tummy got pinched inbetween the bottom of the mixer and the counter and my arms wouldn't lift it up! DH was in the tub so I just kept trying..boy did that hurt...Finally got my tummy pulled out and it left a big red mark!
I also fell on Monday while cleaning the bathroom, got a brusied bottom and a sprained foot! Hit my head too but it is ok..I think.....duh......I think....duh...I think........I was standing on the toilet cleaning the shelf above it and when I went to step down I turned my foot and down I went..glad nothing is broken cause I hit the floor hard! Lke Joanne..I am bruised and very sore!
Gotta get some rest and then go crap in the corner like Meme!

I know that a lot of people feel like you do. I am 63 and he is 60 but he has had a heart attack and has type 2 diabetes so I probably am in better health. I want some guarantees. I don't want to take care of someone but then I might want someone to take care of me. We talked on the phone for 2 hours and he said some things again that I was already thinking. I must have been scared because I kept waking up last night. He really is quite different from anyone else I've been married to or dated. Date tonight!!!Let's see how it goes. I hope everything is going smoothly Happy.Hey Meme-Hi! Oh Candice-that story was funny. But I'm sorry you fell. Hope you are ok. Going out to breakfast with some retired teacher friends and if my head doesn't feel better then I will go to docs. I think I have a sinus infection.Sometimes it goes away by itself. I went to the Dr. yesterday thinking "Here I go with another knee replacement." His suggestion was let it ride until there is no other way. So he injected it. It feels better already. Thank You God!As long as I can still walk and do the things I love I am happy. It took me a year to get over the last knee replacement.
Candice- You are really getting into some fixes. Mashing your belly and falling down!Someone told me once "close the curtains and pull the shades and no one will see the dust." I don't think that will work for me. You sound like me. I fall really easy.. I am such a cluts. What relly got me was the kids in a truck yelling"can't you stand up ,grandma?"I won't repeat what my sister said. I almost gave them a sign. We are never too old.God must have been shaking his head at me.
Memi.. Look Out!I hope your friend continues to make you happy. We are in the 80's here in central Fl.
Meme- I hope someone gives a really nice Christmas gift for all the things you do for others. There is a star up there for the giving . I wonder if you will feel any less tired. I hope so.
Ally- I agree go out and buy yourself a really nice gift. When I get charged up ,I find all kinds of things I just have to have...

Mima...what do you mean by serious...is he moving in? Have you shown him your bloomers yet?
Candice...sorry to hear about your sore butt. I can fall on my butt with no lasting pain, it is my knees that hurt. Lots of padding on the keester.

Good morning-no moving in, Ally, just visitation rights!!! Don't worry guys. I have my feet firmly planted in mid-air. Well.Ally-then do something nice for yourself that doesn't involve money!!!I'm glad about your knee, Joanne. My aunt had the surgey, she walks every day, normally. She is 78. But other people don't seem as good. Fibros can get bursitis in their knees and other places. Hope we hear from happy today!!I bought my step-grandaughter a new computer from People PC-25 $ a month for 4 years including internet access. Was she happy!!!She is usually so quiet but I could feel her genuine happiness over the phone. And what is 25 a month to me? I think I'll bake this morning. I make up plates that include small loaves of coffee bred, cookies, candy, to give away. Brad is cooking dinner for me tonight-chicken, asparagus. He has type 2 diabetes so we probably eat the same stuff. I think I'll make apple crisp with brown sugar that is Nutrasweet. of course it gives me gas. !!!I can't tolerate a lot of Nutrasweet. Well, I better go and get busy. Have a great day everyone. Hi Meme-are you in bed, I hope. Mima

Mima-Your feet are planted firmly in the air.!! It is already serious.. And he is cooking too! Yes my knee feels really good. I walked all over the mall yesterday and no pain. I didn't get much done either. It seems when you go out ,at first, all you can do is look. Now I have to get down to business. It is panick time.
Candice -I am going to put up some lights on sat. Maybe that will give me some spirit. First I have to vacumn and clean the bath and kitchen floors. Why do those two places get so needy.?Hope you aren't so sore now.
Ally -I looked at Red Dresses, The only ones I liked cost too much. I guess I will keep looking. When you make all your own clothes like I do ,It is hard to buy off the rack.Hope you are feeling better.
Needless to say yesterday was not my best day. Now my hubby is hinting around... He can forget about it.. I have shopping to do.
Hello Happy...
Bye...Joanne:lol:

Well, as you can see, I am back. They came just before yesterday and hooked up the cable, however, the line for the computer was down, and I never got it working until after 11:00 p.m. and by then I was to tired to think. What a lot of work. Boy, I never realized how much work I could get done, without the T.V., the computer or the telephone - and nobody knew where I lived either. I got everything unpacked and put away, all furniture oiled and polished and all the ornaments washed. Looks so nice and clean now. This place as in floor heating and is that ever nice on your feet and legs. The muscles don't get tight because your feet are cold, anyway. Also, it has the fresh air exchanger (I had that at the other house and I loved it). Had to go to the lawyer yesterday and sign the final papers on the sale of our house and this weekend, will go back and clean it up. My daughter really helped a lot. She washed out cupboards, closets etc., so basically it is just the floors left. Would like to finish this weekend, but am hurting quite a bit, so I don't know if I will be able to or not. My husband will go do it - I know him!
Mima - you sound so happy. It is nice to have a relationship and someone to go out with - and one who cooks as well:lol: That was awfully nice of you to get your granddaughter a computer. I am sure she will totally love it. I sure missed mine when I was off, but I was so busy. It would have been a lot worse, if it just shut down and I wasn't prepared for it.
Ally - I hope you are not sinking into a depression. You don't sound like your usual happy self. MEN!! They can do that to you everytime. Go find some Christmas spirit - they might even have some in a bottle if you don't want a tree:lol:
Candice - I could visualize that mixer incident. It was hilarious. I hope you didn't hurt yourself to badly, because that machine is heavy. Also, leave the cleaning of the high places to hubby. Mine does that, so yours can as well. They may not like to do it, but it sure beats falling. Hope you are feeling better.
Joanne - glad the shot worked for your knee. Now you can stand and do your Christmas baking. I have to get started with that soon as well. So far, all I have done, is bake some Christmas cakes.
Meme - Hi. I do hope you are feeling better and are able to slow down a little! I think you are your own worst enemy.
Everyone, have a great day.
I just found my Christmas lights, so they will go out on the deck this weekend. I still have a week before I put up the tree, so I am NOT behind. Everyone around me has their trees up and their houses all decorated already. I wasn't sure if I was putting up a tree or not, but you know, I just have to. It wouldn't be christmas if I didn't.

Happy Happy....Glad you are back. You know...all you girls have very busy lives. Lots of cleaning and caretaking. No wonder this is the fibro board. Not a lot of rest and relaxation going on here.
Mima....A man who will cook for you. Go for it.
Joanne....I am going shopping tomorrow but really have to quit looking at all the bargains out there for ME. I charged quite a bit in San Francisco and kept saying.."oh, you only live once". yeah, and it will take me a lifetime to pay it all off:lol:
Candice.....yeah, I want to hear what you are doing with your mixer. I am embarrassed to say that I have never had a mixer. My cakes just come out flat with pieces of dried mix in them.
Meme....I can't imagine what you are doing but I bet it would get me tired.

Hi everyone. Joanne-that was funny. Make a trade-you know what for the lights etc. Glad you are back Happy-you are as busyas Meme.Sounds like a great condo. Ally-hope you are ok. I remember 2 years ago when I got "dumped". Best thing -that guy had so much baggage and now I never went out with someone like Brad-he even waits on me. I loved my husband but he was Irish. Used to be waited on but he was a nice guy. But Brad and I also connect on a spiritual level which I never had before. It took him 3 years to realize what a great person I was. Haha!I kept seeing him at the singles group and would talk to him or sit with him in the restaurant. I don't even know why I did that. I didn't think he was interested in having a relationship.Things have sure changed. Hi Meme whereever you are!!Hi Candice. Mima

Hi everyone-what a pretty snow we had last night!Of course I now have to get my car out but it is good in the snow. Going to the movies today and then out to eat. Glad all my shopping is done and wrapped as I am super busy now. And I'm working Thurs and FRi and then next week. Candice-I love to make cookies and give them away. I made some breads the other day but I burned some because they cooked faster than I thought. I make up plates to give away. I'm allergic to wheat so I'm pretty safe with them around. But if I wasn't......I actually think I've lost some more weight -don't have the urge to overeat-what's that all about-don't worry-it won't last. Hi Meme, Joanne, Happy, Ally and Candice.Mima

We have snow here in NY today too. But it will get warm and melt. My kids may not be able to ski this year.
Candice.......how is your arm? You are typing up a storm so it must be better. I have a friend who fainted on the pot twice. And my kids tell me that my exhubby put his back out while on the pot.
I still don't have a tree.
But it does look Christmassy around here.
Gotta go watch football and knit hats for Christmas. Good thing I can't send you one..they are sure funny looking.

Candice-- I have been making my clothes since I was 12 years old. The first thing I made was a blouse from a flour sack. That was in the days that they used to put flour and sugar in print fabric sacks. You saved the sacks till you had enough to make a garment. As most young girls I wanted to have new pretty things and that was how I got them. I since have made most of what my daughter wore when she was small and then peer pressure came into play. I had my own small business while my children were home and did very well. It got my daughter and son through college. I then went back into nursing for several years.
Memi.. LOVE IS IN THE AIR !! I think that is a song.. I am glad you are happy and having a good time..
Ally.. I have heard of a lot of things but your ex. getting his back out of place while he was on the pot takes the cake. Now you are sure what he was full of..That must have one big log...
Hi Meme and Happy.. I got some lights out in the front area. I don't know how long they will stay. I see one is already starting to fall. I will have to fix in a.m. My hubby doesn't realize scotch tape won't work. Trading off with him just gives me more work.
Bye for now...Joanne:wave:

Joanne, one big log, that was a good one and I din't know scotch tape worked on outdoor lights!
Mima, I'm counting my points but it is so hard not to over eat the cookies! What kind do you make??? I have made the mexican wedding cookies, choc. pixies, cranberry sugar, cookie press vanilla, and Dh favorite Choc chip! Plan to do some more but I have to get everything ready for my boys, they will be here for Christmas this weekend and my sons BD.

Mima- I grew up right here in Florida.. I have lived in the same town all my life. I was born on a army base in South Carolina,Charlston.
That's the point ,Candice, Scotch tape doesn't work . I haven't even bought what I need to make cookies. I will probably do that the last few days before Christmas. I don't have too much will power.
It is still really warm here. I have a full day.. Hello to Ally, Happy and Meme...Joanne
