No one started a thread yet?! I think this is only the second time I have gotten to do this!

Not much to say here. It is getting cold and I wore my winter coat today for the first time this season. That is unusual for Chicago, where we often see a bit of snow in October! I am really tired today and I'm not sure why, since I got the same amount of sleep as usual. oh well!

I'll come back when I have something more exciting to say!
Have a great day girls!

Jen

i'm here! i was about to start the thread this morning when i finally got the chance to speak to my editor about staying on here till i can go do weather training (if i ever go do it!). and then i got swamped with work and forgot. anyhow. looks like i can stay at my current job which is v. good. and then i went shopping and bought a sparkly frock for the office xmas party. and some new trousers and tops for various festive events. my poor wee credit card. ;)
i was going to reply to everyone but i can't remember what to say now. ooh, ali - why does your mother regret living with your dad before they got married?
jenk - i'm tired too. it must be time to hibernate.
emily - good to hear from you, hope your kids feel better soon.
thanks for the joke stacey! i hope your DH doesn't expect you to do all the cooking and cleaning!
kim - hooray on the gym. stick to it - you can do it! hope your BF isn't so grumpy soon. what kind of company only gives you one day off over the festive period?!
trish - what's the countdown now? which reminds me, apparently advent calenders are being renamed countdown calenders in the UK. pc has gone too far.
right, better go work,
kirsty

hey all! what's up? same old crap here. can't wait til the weekend!
i am still determined to reach my christmas goal of 147, although this week i feel very fat since it is TOM. i have not been doing THAT bad with food the past too days although I know I went over my points which is really unacceptable, i have not been binging a lot, i have been evening out the meals.
i am leaving work early today so i can go to the gym. have not been able to go the past two days. this also is unacceptable.
i am trying to journal more diligently since this seems to help people lose weight. even if i am way over in points i am going to journal.
Jkarr, it is unseasonably warm here too, in pittsburgh, pa. yesterday it was in the 60's and today in the 50's. i think it is great. while i love to see snow and all that, i don't like to drive in it!
well i better get back to work. ttyl!

Hello all. Just got back from my water class.

Kirsty: I am 5 weeks right now. Hopefully sooner. Sad but true in the US most companies only give you one day...maybe 1/2 day on Christmas Eve. I am lucky as my company gives you both Christmas and Christmas Eve. Hubby's does not. If the mail comes they work. We also get New Years Day off so that is nice. Fun on the new stuff and that is great that they will keep you on. See, I told you they loved you.

Jen3: You are doing great on your goals. Get to the gym and I bet you feel even better. I have not had TOM in so long I forget all about it.

JenK: It has been warm here in Peoria as well. I love fall and winter and I am really sick of it. Good thing it is colder today and I can wear a coat. I was up in Chicago on Friday and Saturday and it was so warm it was sick!

Kim: I see you not wanting to leave him...but not much fun for you. I say make the most of your time together and volunteer the rest to help others feel great!

Talk with you all soon.

Trish

Hey guys!

my kids are doing better, but now my dh is sick! :( I detest it when he gets sick.......he's worse than the kids are! LOL. whine, whine, whine...

Not much going on. Stayed OP yesterday. Went and looked into taking some water aerobics classes at
our local swim pool. It looks like it's going to have to wait until January because of money issues. I think I'm going to ask for some pre-paid classes as a Christmas present from my parents or something.

gotta run, but just wanted to check in. Hi to everyone! I hope I can get back on later after hubby "supposedly" goes back to work (he promised he would try!)

I'm grumpy today, so I'm just going to share this joke and come back later.

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday. "I'd love to be six again," she replied. On the morning of her birthday, he got her up bright and early and off they went to a local theme park. What a day! He put her on ever ride in the park: the Death Slide, the Screaming Loop, the Wall of Fear --- everything there was! Wow! Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park, her head reeling and her stomach upside down.
>> > Right to a McDonald's they went, where her husband ordered her a Big Mac along with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake.
>> > Then it was off to a movie --- the latest Star Wars epic, and hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi Cola and M&Ms. What a fabulous adventure!
>> > Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed.
>> > He leaned over and lovingly asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being six again?" One eye opened... "You idiot, I meant my dress size!"
>> > The moral of this story: Even when the man is listening, he's still gonna get it wrong.

Hi girls! Just thought I'd pop in before I head off to work today. Its been very quiet there this week. Strange! Things are good. I even managed to eat at a restraunt yesterday and end up with some points banked! I really really hope for a loss on sunday! have to see but four days ina row strictly OP have to help. Glad to here everyone else is doing well.

Kim sorry to hear your grumpy! Cheer Up! It can always be worse!

JenK its really cold here too. ABout average for this time of year but we have been so spoiled this year that it seems really cold. We have a draft coming somewhere in our apartment that we can't figure out where it is. Brrr!

Kirsty, that's great news about your job. Glad its all going to be ok.

Jen3 Hi! Glad to hear you're muddling through TOM without too much damage. Mine is next week and we're having a huge christmas party with lots of drinking and lots of food! Should be fun but scary on the scale! I'm going to kmake sure I bank alot next week so I don't have to feel so bad.

Trish, I can't believe you are so close. Is your family going to come see you for Christmas since I doubt you're going to be going anywhere??

1bm- I totally agree about men being total babies when they get sick. Must be nice to be a big suck. When most women are sick they still have stuff to take care of so they muddle through as best they can.

Hi to everyone else! Tonay let us know how you did at WI tonight. Take care all!

Rina: Great job on teh 4 days OP in a row! My family came for Thanksgiving last week so that was nice. They are not planning on coming for Christmas, but my hubby's family is in town. My mom is coming when the baby is born...so that maybe right around Christmas.

Emily: glad kids are better. Hubbys can be a big baby when they are sick!

Kim: feel better. A lot of people are grumpy today. The moon and stars must be out of wack!

Hey guys!

Hubby finally went to work!!! Guess he got sick of listening to kid/wife noise in general. It's hard to get rest with our little two-legged whirlwinds that race through here! I'm thankful that it is only a 12-24 hour bug thing.

not much else going on. just the same ole' stuff.

Rina: that is awesome, 4 days in a row! keep up the great work!

Kim: Hang in there, it will get better! I started out kind of grumpy myself this morning. :D Great Joke, i've read it before, but laughed as hard reading it this time as I did the first time.

Trish: that is good that your mom is coming to help out with the baby. I never had that luxury and it was tough the first few weeks!

Jen3: I've had the fat feeling to with TOM, it's starting to dissapate which is a good thing, but very hard to get through some days! hang in there

Jen-L: where are you at?? We are missing you! Just wanted to also say thank you for posting the pumpkin fluff recipe. I made it last night and it is delish! My kids also love it and had huge helpings after lunch today. My ds dunked his apple in it and said it was good, have not tried it and do not know whether to trust a 3 year olds food choices.

Hi to Stacey, Jen, Kirsty and everyone else who is lurking! I agree it had been pretty quiet this week! Chat with you all later.
