Wow, not only do I show up, but I get to start the daily! That's what I get for being on my computer at 1 in the morning, Colorado time!

I haven't been around much because I'm too darn busy. I had the mistaken notion that I'd have way more time after I quit my job, but was I wrong! The day before Thanksgiving I decided to clean out and organize one of my kitchen cupboards. Well, one thing led to another, and I have been dismantling, sanding and painting and shelf-papering the darn things ever since, inside and out. I live in an old farmhouse and the cupboards go all the way to the ceiling. So most of my time I'm up on counters or ladders, which wreaks havoc on my poor old joints. But, man, the kitchen is starting to look amazing!

It looks like I FINALLY might have broken through my stall. I am at a total loss of 29 pounds, so hopefully it's downward from here. My goal for the month is to be at minus 30, so hopefully I will make it!

I hope those of you dealing with the hard stuff (Annie and Jennie) are hanging in there. My heart just went out to you guys when I was catching up on the threads.

Sounds like a lot of you are into the whole Christmas rush already. I have to finish the damn cabinets before I can even think of anything else! Maybe I'll put on some Christmas music while I paint tomorrow.

Sorry for such a novel, but I had to catch up and I bet when I post the at first of the day, I won't be ignored! Usually when I post on the daily, nobody ever reads it, but today you have to. Gotcha!

Save me some coffee,
Chickadee

WE DO SO READ YOU! After all, as moderator, I have to censor the language around here. LOL!

We should have met in chat, Chickadee, as I've been wide awake since 3! I could use some of your energy for inspiration. My kitchen cupboards are a disaster and must be cleaned out (at least) before Christmas. I suspect there is stuff way in the back since before the Flood.

Didn't do much yesterday - bottled wine and went to the Library after a pub lunch with DH. Still feeling rotten but that did not stop me from eating lemon bread after dinner last night! I know I had too many carbs during the day - that is such a trigger! Even the chocolate guilt from the night before did not hold me back. So today will be pure protein and water water water!

Music lesson and a visit with Hershey on the agenda this morning. We have started the weaning process so my furry darling will probably be home this time next week. The pups are big and very demanding so she will be glad to get her real life back! I predict a five minute jubilation run around the meadow.

Have a happy Hump Day! Coffee is ready right now!

We got our first dusting of snow this morning. Northern Wisconsin got blasted I hear. Winter is here but I received my first seed calalog in the mail so there is hope!
HH has a cold and, with my luck, I will have one also. That means bronchitis and a trip to the doctor. Arrggh!
Am going to do the vacuuming and fold some laundry. Then I want to sew a bit. DH is working only 40 miles away today...not the usual 90, so he will be home early. A nice change in pace.
So, have a good day everyone and God bless!

Happy Wednesday to all!

Have a quiet day around here. 3rd day on program and I am beginning to feel that rush of energy, hope it lasts. Tonight will be a test, I am making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for the boys classrooms on Thursday. I will pack them in a special bag with a container of drinkable yogert.

Take care, stay op!

Good morning!

Everyone is so busy! I get worn out just reading your posts. It seems all I do is get up, exercise, go to work, come home, exercise, eat dinner, clean the kitchen, walk, go to bed. Woohoo, what an exciting life. I shouldn't complain though, the status quo is just fine at the moment.

Have lots to do to get ready for my 4 day weekend. Going to New York City Friday. Yay!! :)

Have a great day!
Jennifer

I agree - I'm pooped just reading all your posts! lol

JHP - I am soooooooo proud of you for going to New York this weekend! hip hip hooray! and congrats on your determination! Sounds like you are exercising 24 hours a day??? wow!

Leenie - if yall were going to grandma's house in Louisiana you would have to take a perou (little cajun boat) today because it is still raining cats and dogs. All of the schools in our parish (county) cancelled school today except for ours and my boys were not too happy about that at all.

Tip - the snow sounds beautiful but the colds do not! :(

Got home yesterday and my hubby was putting together our monster artificial Christmas tree that takes hours to put together but is beautiful once its up. I'm hoping when I get home tonight he will have put the lights and the ornaments on the thing too! hehe I remember (before kids) when I use to love to put the ornaments up just so so and perfect and now I just about throw the things up there and hope they stick! hehe My how life changes! But its a major accomplishment for me not to be picky about things anyway.

I hope to go walk at the mall during lunch today (assuming I can float over there). I just do not seem to be able to get myself up at 5:00 to do my walk aerobic tapes. I have got to get my butt in gear!

Hope everybody has a great OP day.

hugs, cathy

Good morning to all!! Pretty quiet at work today, gotta love that! Supposed to get cold and rain tonite, it has been in the high 70's the last few days...not very Christmasy. I am concentrating on eating right and getting my sugar straightened out, I also have high cholesterol imagine that!!!! I guess after 35 everything just falls apart.

Jennie thanks for the card. i was trying to figure out whi it was that i knew??? I loved getting it.

Cathy i have to laugh at how my tree has taken shape over the years first it was perfect, then ti was bare on the botom (and several times in the years) and then covered on the bottom and bare on the top (still is like that now. it started off with glass decorations and pretty balls not there is not a single ball on the tree it is all decorations that have been gotten for the kids or they have made and you still can not see an inch of tree. i have not even thought of getting it out yet because of the hassesl of putting it up and decorating hopefully DH will be gone this weekend and then we can to it then and take some time off to go and eat out for dinner. sounds like a plan for me!!!

hi to all i have to run to the sotre before the phone repair man show up at the house so i can make dinner tonight.
