I see alot of people on here eat veggie burgers...but where can you get them at? I tried looking in the wal-mart grocery department, couldnt find them, then I tried looking in our local grocery store...couldnt find them there eathier...which was surprsing! Guess I can look around in a few more places.

Most grocery stores should have them. Look in the freezer section.

I love california burgers (veggie based) but I can't stand soy burgers.

I get mine at either Bloom or the commissary - at Bloom - they are near the vegetables - that is also their organic section. Actually there is one brand that is mixed in with the vegetables.

At the commissary - they have them in the frozen food section.

Hope you are able to track them down

Morningstar Farms and Boca are the two brands that seem to be most widely available in grocery stores, sometimes you need to spend some time hunting through the freezer sections. Sometimes they’re with frozen meats, sometimes vegetables. You can always just ask at customer service as well. I’ve also found box mixes that you just mix with water and then you can bake or pan fry the patties. If you like to cook, you can always make your own from scratch as well.

I usually make my own by mixing:

- julienned veggies sauteed with a little olive oil and garlic
- some beans (chickpeas for curry veggie burger, kidney beans for Italian,
- black beans for Mexican)
- a cooked whole grain (usually brown rice or quinoa)
- some salt and MSG-free seasonings (curry powder, Italian seasoning, Mexican seasoning)
- 1-2 eggs
- bread crumbs

I mix it all then shape into patties.

Sometimes I'll add some tofu but not very often, we prefer them without.

They are probably in the frozen food section near the vegetables. Or, they might be in the frozen food section with the rest of the "healthy" frozen foods - Ezekiel bread, Kashi frozen waffles, organic frozen fruit. I would recommend just asking someone that works in the grocery store!

At my Walmart, they are next to the frozen fruit juice concentrates and frozen breakfast foods.
