Weight Loss News and Current Events - Hollywood's latest diet fad..

I was watching the news with DB last night, and we saw a report on this drug:

This scares me. Seriously. People think that it is a good idea? I mean, especially this line from the article:

What was most alarming about these posts was that none of them advised stopping taking the drug: they were all too entranced by its effects.


Has anyone else ever heard anything about this?

Ouch, nasty side effects.

No wonder the drug has been banned. Very scary. But I did check several sources and most did indicate that Hollywood stars were using it. Wonder how long it will be before it kills someone....

"...has been responsible for several cases of poisoning in humans." That's disgusting! The people that produce and market this drug should be ashamed.

The only way to lose weight, unfortunately, is to eat less calories that you burn during a day, and to exercise so that flab can disappear.

I have fell for the "weight loss magic pill" before and have spent the money. Stop wasting your money, put your credit card back into your purse and go for a walk, run, or whatever else gets you moving.

Unfortunately, there are horrible, mean, people out in the real world that feed on us overweight peoples vunerability. Do not fall for it. There is no magic pill, and probably will never be. Follow whatever eating plan you are on, exercise your butt off, and laugh at those people that are trying to rip you off.

Considering this drug is illegal in the US, and apparently wasn't ever designed to be used by humans, I think this runs much deeper than vulnerability. This dosn't even sound like something that anyone but the super-rich would even be able to obtain. This is simply self-indulgent and self-destructinve behavior by people who consider themselves above the law and entitled to whatever they want regardless of the cost (personal or financial).
