Today, another 60 minutes of interval walking on the treadmill.:tread:

60 minutes - that's wonderful!

I did 30 minutes at Curves this morning and am hoping to squeeze in another 30 minutes walking at the park this evening. My husband and daughter are going with me, so there will be no talking myself out of it tonight! Of course, my husband is a runner, so he will literally be running circles around me as I walk, but movement is movment, right?? ;)

I did 60 minutes today on the cross-ramp at the gym and I haven't done that in about 6 weeks. I am trying to re-motivate myself and set some new goals as I just returned from a great vacation but now it's time to buckle down and get busy!!

I recently purchased Debbie Rocker's "Walking for Weight Loss" CD/DVD combo. It is great and very motivating...maybe too motivating, as I found out today. I started out on my normal walking route, but decided to take a detour through the 55+ community close to my neighborhood. It is a wonderful place to walk, except that all of the streets and homes look exactly the same. I must have been very tuned in to the CD, because I wound up getting completely lost within the oh-so beige world of this senior "village" (as it's called). I managed to find my way out, but not before it began getting dark. So here I am, traipsing through unmowed grass, up and down hills on the side of the road (envisioning crime scenes at every turn - must stop watching so much CSI), back into my neighborhood where, oddly enough, I wind up in my driveway just as the CD program is ending. So, did I find the perfect door-to-door route? Maybe not...:p

 LWM, that's too funny! I should try to walk around and get lost sometime.. I used to *love* doing that in the car when I first started driving, a cheap thrill.. heh. Sounds like you got a great workout in!

Monday was a bust, pulled my achilles tendon and it hurt to bad to walk, much less to do dance cardio.
Tueday: Achilles still hurts, so I didn't bounce that hard during the step aerobics and did all my weight lifting.

Nicki - sorry to hear that you are hurt, definitely NOT fun :(

Tiffany - thanks! I kinda think this picture is cute too :)

So today I headed out for 60 min walk, but fell and sprained my ankle. I bailed pretty good, I have very bruised and sore knees, and my hands are a little ripped up as well. Sucks. Hopefully I'm back to normal soon! I got a 40 min walk in.

This is a fun thread! Yesterday I took a women's free weights class and did 20 mins elliptical (2 miles) and 20 mins (3 miles) on the stationary bike. Today I took my first ever Tai Chi class (love.love.loved it!!!) and did 5 miles on the bike (30 mins). The bike is new for me. I'm trying to train myself for a spinning class. I've got a long way to go I think!

As for me, 30 minutes at Curves (plus the 5 minutes it takes to walk there and home again. :o Yes, I live that close, so there is no excuse for me not to go!)

60 minutes of interval walking on the treadmill...525 calories....not a lot of it was in the cardio zone...mostly stayed in the weight loss zone. I was really struggling today. Maybe I overdid it yesterday...my hips feel fatigued and achey and my energy level was really lacking.

I finally got to do a bit of exercise today. I've been going INSANE with this stupid tendonitis. I tried to run on the treadmill but could only run one mile because of the pain, then I did 20 minutes on the recumbent bike. Guess I need to see a doctor about this foot. :(

I was sick with a cold so I didn't exercise for a couple of weeks. But since Monday I have walked two laps (that's about 10 minutes, but I am walking on hills), rode my stationary bike for 20 minutes, done the Gazelle type machine fpr five minutes, and done about 10 flights of stairs everyday. I mowed half of my lawn, my son mowed the rest. I pulled weeds while he mowed. We were out there for a bit more than an hour.
Then we had thunderstorms this evening and it really cooled off afterwards. So I grabbed the dog and walked for 25 minutes. Came home, grabbed the other dog and walked him for 10...he's a chihuahua and 10 minutes was a workout for him! :running:
