Default Marvellous Meaningful Monday Chat - April 30

Just looked over my journals for the past month. What a busy month it was and May looks just as bad or good, depending on perspective! Suddenly I'm a heck of a lot more active than during the winter despite my damned knee but my food has not been good and weight hasn't budged much. May is going to need lots of planning and determination to stick to the plan. My kitchen reno mid-month is not a good excuse to eat at the Long Horn every night!

I'm about to have my Fiber One, yogurt and blackberry breakfast and then head off to the gym. I need a shot of those great endorphins! Lunch will be a salad with chicken and kidney beans or chick peas on top and that'll take care of the fiber for today! Lot's of water needed. I'm not sure about supper yet - probably will make four individual meatloaves and freeze three for my stash. I'm planning to stock up on microwavable stuff for the reno time.

I hope your day is marvellous and meaningful as we head into May.

Morning, Ruth. Sounds like you have a whole lot on your plate today and for the the next month as well.

I'm about to herd the girls into the car and head off to start the day. Need to pack my food and get them dressed first though. I'm having an egg & sausage muffin for breakfast, mixed up casserole (made with chicken & black beans vs. ground beef) on top of a bed of mixed greens for lunch, edamame and string cheese for snacks. Not sure what I'll pull out for dinner. We'll see what mood strikes when we get home.

Have a great Monday, everyone.

Default weight loss teaser

Hey,
Finishing up P1D6. I thought I was doing great until the weekend, and my loss for the week was at 4 pound. I had a wine night (tried to stop at 2 but ended up drinking a whole bottle) with the girls on Saturday and bounced up 2 pounds by this morning. I'm hoping its just a fluke and will go away again. I'm on program this morning and feeling great. Haven't had too many struggles with hunger or cravings. Hope you all have a pleasant rest of the day!

Good Morning Girls,
What a busy weekend it was, I need a weekend to recuperate! My eating was not so great, we did a bit too much celebrating, BUT I'm back on track today and raring to go!
Looks like May is going to be an exciting month for you, Ruth, getting your kitchen re-done. That's a smart move, freezing some meals so you can just microwave them during the reno! We expect to see pictures!!!
Jet, hope it's a good week for you at work! I'll have to check out that Mixed Up Casserole recipe, I don't remember it. Did you make the Chicken & Spinach Casserole yesterday? That's one of my very favorites!

I got my Curves workout done for the day, and I have to chase the vacuum around the carpets and mop the kitchen floor. If there's enough time after that, I have some new perrenials that need to be planted. I work late tonight, so I'm taking some Taco Bake with me for my supper. For breakfast, which I haven't eaten yet, I think I'll have some Kashi with yogurt and blueberries, and lunch will be a salad with grilled chicken. And I MUST remember to drink my water today!

Good morning, Beach friends!

I had a very restful weekend...no house hunters coming through. That wasnt good for selling the house, but it did give me some much needed rest. Today was weigh-in and I dropped 3.4 pounds... I love being back on-plan!

Ruth - a new kitchen...how exciting! Looks like you have a great plan for staying on-plan through the renovations.
Jetsetter - egg & sausage muffin sounds good to me this morning.
Kay - Sorry the wine got the best of you. Just use this as a learning experience and move on. Its good that you jumped right back on plan. That mindset = success on this journey.
Cottage - Wow...you already did your workout! That is motivation!

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

:flow: Goooood Mornink Dahls!!!!! ...Not much on the agenda for today..Yesterday I spent the whole day out pruning and weeding our neglected little yard. Today I think I'll enjoy the deck, and start reading the "outlander" series again.
Dinner is WW ziti, lf mozzarella and sauce... or Ham... I've got a few left overs to choose from ....

Have a FANTASTIC DAY GALS!!!!!!

Morning ladies! I tried the SB Cereal this morning, it was good...now I am waiting to see if it keeps me full. I am going to get Fiber One when I do the shopping tonight, they were out last time. The weekend was so awesome, lots of work outside on the house. We went out to dinner on Saturday night...both ate on plan, but had a couple of beers. The scale has stayed the same, but I am not too worried about it.

Next week my work is starting a walking group, our building is close to the lake and has a great path to walk on, they said it was a 1.5 walk, I am looking forward to it!

Happy Monday!

It's going to be a VERY busy week for me...lots of work (along with teaching, I also own a web design company that keeps me busy 7 days a week)

I also am having a get together on Sunday afternoon for a friend, so the whole patio/yard area has to be perfect by then. It will be down to the wire to get it all done, but I love having parties because it makes me get things done that I've wanted to do.

My daughter and her boyfriend came to eat yesterday evening and they enjoyed their whole SB meal..portobello pizzas with grilled shrimp and squash..yummy. And a huge salad along with eggplant dip and whole wheat pita triangles. I was a good girl and skipped the pita.

Today makes my 2 weeks on P1 and I'm thinking about going into 2 VERY slowly. I don't weigh myself so have no idea what I've lost so far, but my baggy clothes say it's a bunch. (the baggy clothes aren't so bad, but the baggy underwear will have to be replaced soon, before they end up around my ankles in public...I told myself I could not buy any new clothes till the fall..all I wear during the summer is sun dresses, so what I have will have to do till the fall)

Hello chicks, long time, but life has been busy and crazy, this time of year is the worst for me. All activities are coming to and end. And we have been trying to get stuff done around the house as DH is hoping to get back to work sometime in June. I am away next week for 5 days 4 nights. Eating has been so so but I have not gained anything and really not sure if I lost either but my pants are getting to big, so I will take that as a good sign. Well I do miss you chicks and think of you often. Hopefully once all the dance and cheerleading finish I will be back full force. Love to yas all.

Good morning to all...Sounds like everyone had a great busy weekend. Wish I was home to work in my yard..I love the spring...We did not do too much yesterday, Did go to the casino just south of Albuq. NM, walked in with a $100, walked out with the $100 plus another $100, and that was after we ate the GREAT Buffet, and bought cigs....so we did pretty good, usually we walk out with empty pockets.. We are sitting just south of Denver waiting to go get our load, going to NJ, over by Philly, so may not hear from me for a few days, we have to be there Wed morning. But we have to stop off at WallyWorld and stock up on OP Food....

Hope everyone has a great day !!!!! to all.............

Default Hi ladies

Hi to all! Good to be sitting here checking out the board. I miss that when I get busy. Not much going on here just enjoying listening to the birds outside. I LOVE spring! I've done really well with the exercising thing this last few weeks, it's so nice being done with school and having the time to take care of me. My son got home from Iraq last week and things have been in a bit of a turmoil getting him settled in again. Other than yesterday I've been eating OK. I thought we should have a nice big Sunday feast with roast, mashed potatoes, rolls and the trimmings. It tasted good, but now I need to get my rear out on the pavement and run it off.

Schatzi, what's the outlander series? I'm always looking for a good read.

Ruth, how fun to have a reno.........well I hate the reno part, I love the done part.

txshort, sounds like you had a fun weekend, not bad "earnings" either.

littlechick, slow down girlfriend! I miss you!

femmecreole, congrats on the P1 finisher. I think that's great. I don't know how you can't stand not to weigh, but I admire it. I'm too hooked on the scales I know.

amberj, let us know how the cereal worked for you. I like the kashi with yogurt on top but I do get hungry after awhile.

girlygirl, way to go on the weight loss

cottage, I love the visual of you chasing the vacuum. uhmmm, Taco bake, that reminded me that I love that dish and haven't made it in awhile.

ducgirl, way to go on the weight loss, I love when I read that someone has lost a few pounds! Drink a ton of water today to flush out the wine.

jetset, is the mixed up casserole in the recipe section? Sounds yummy.

Well, I'm off to go run, then maybe I'll wash my windows today.........then again, maybe not.

Hugs

Howdy everyone!

Well, all the stuff has been moved from the rent house to our house. I couldn't be happier! DH still needs to go over there tonight and paint the porch, but after that, we'll be done! Talked to the former land lady today and it sounds like we'll be getting our whole deposit back. That's $650 that I had totally forgotten about! Woohoo! We'll be putting it aside to make an extra payment on the house. Right now I've budgeted for two a year, but DH got a raise Friday, so I think I'll be able to make 4 extra a year - that's so fantastic!

Eating was not OP at all while moving. We ordered 3 pizzas Friday night to "pay" our friends who helped us move and ended up with leftovers, which we ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Working out was avoided in favor of hauling boxes, cleaning carpets, etc., etc. My back is feeling it today! But, back to P1 tomorrow to clean the old system out. I just need to do some grocery shopping tonight and it's on!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the pack campout. The weather was beautiful and we were right on the lake. Our den was responsible for making the cobblers. I brought stuff and made one extra one using no sugar added pie filling and Smart Balance instead of butter but it did have a regular chocolate cake mix. Eventually I would like to try to make that even healthier but I wanted something that others would enjoy. I got lots of compliments especially from some who feel regular cobbler is just too sweet.

I'm up a bit after the weekend but I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. Where did April go????

Default 2nd week of a biz zip,nada,zero..in a holding pattern

Hi all....I'm abit miffed at myself for screwing up lately...it seems my head wants to go straight to maintance..before i'm done with the losing part..i guess i know what to do when i get to the weight i want to stay in..cause i've had two weeks of limbo..The weather had been just so fabulous..and we've been buying and planting our poseys..love love this time of year. I went shopping yesterday and bought a pair of liz clairborn summer slacks (on sale natch) and took two pair in the dressing room..one size i figured would fit,and a smaller size...AND THEY FIT! THE SMALLER SIZE, and they wern't even stretchy type. I am so stoked over that...We are going on vacation in about 11days..and road food is kinna scaring me..any helpful hints would be great. We will be traveling through Oregon to Idaho..the first day..and will be in Utah for several days to see all those fabulous scenic rocks...check out Zion, and Bryce..etc. So I will be doing some walking..but you know about road food..I will be taking a small cooler..Let me know what you think. Take care, and do yourself proud..choices
