Default needs ideas

Hi girls:

Iam 48 yrs old, happily married with two college studens. My weight is 162 so I need to lose between 35 to 40 pounds. In my good days the higher that I weighted was 130 pounds. I am trying to organize my schedule so I can go back to ww which I use to go 3 yrs ago. I have almost all the info. that they give you except for week 1 which is the one that I am trying to find so I can follow the first week by the book. I eat a nice ww breakfast & lunch but my big problem is 2 hrs after lunch trying to stay away from all the junk that people bring to the office. Also my other problem is dinner time when is time to measure my food I cheat a lot and because I have a husband & daughter to feed I always cook a hot meal and a lot of food. We also have a very hectic social life so is very hard to control myself. Iam so desperate that I think that this weight lost problem has been an obsession. I feel like I don't have any control of my food habit any more. Any suggestions I will really appreciate it and thank you so much for all your help. (excuse my spelling but english is my second lang. I speak spanish).

Taina:

Maybe it would help to bring your own healthy snacks to the office - maybe raw vegetables, fresh fruit, rice cakes (they come in great flavors now) or pretzels.

As for dinner, I find it easier if I plan ahead. Decide before hand what I am going to eat. Maybe your husband or daughter could help out by clearing the table. Also it may help to try to cook only the amount you need - not extra.

It sounds like you need to rethink how you will use your points. It's perfectly alright to plan an afternoon snack to get you through to dinner. At dinner, fill up on veggies. As for your social like, it's the same thing...eat lightly during the day and save most of your points for the social thing if you have to. WW is very doable with a little planning.

Also, at 48 you will find allowing yourself a few more pounds than when you were in your 20's is advisable. Have you discussed a reasonable weight with your doctor?

Default new ideas

Thanks girls for your ideas. I have been bringing carrots for my snacks, orange & since last friday I have been bringing 1/2 a cup of cereal one of those with 0 fat and low calories. This past friday we went with 10 of my friends to see a concert and afterwards we went to a very nice restaurant and I did very good, thanks to the restaurant cause their serving size is very small but delicious. And I did not have dessert which was very hard for me but all my female friends (we went w/husbands too) decided to follow my steps and they didn't have any either. Iam at work now and it is 11:30 am I had my breakfast already at 7:30 am, for midmorning snack my watermelon, and a tangerine and Iam still hungry. But I have to wait for lunch time which will be around 12:30 pm. For the afternoon snack I will have another tangerine, 1/2 cup of fat free cereal and some carrots stick. I work from 8 am to 4:00 pm.Hopefully I will be fine at the end of the day. I have an appointment with my Dr. on Dec. 7 hopefully she will tell me how much weight I should loose. thank you so mucho for listen.
