Default Weekend Chitterings!

I LOVE Saturday mornings!!! Two whole days of leisure, and Jake always has the coffee made when I come downstairs, what could be better?

The sun is shining and it's going to be warm, so we'll be doing a lot of outside chores today. I need to get that flat of pansies planted out front, and Jake needs to mow the lawn. We may fire up the grill for supper tonight, too. First, though, is a trip to Trader Joe's.

Beachbelle! It's not unusual not to lose weight when you first start Phase 2, especially after the huge amount you lost during Phase 1. Congratulations! Your body is just making adjustments and soon you will start to see a big difference. Hang in there, the pounds will come off, and you're doing great!

How's everyone else's weekend shaping up?

Good morning and to the new chickies.

This is a real quickie as the Festival is starting up. There are already a couple of syrup selling booths set up. Farmers get up early! A friend from Kingston is coming up around nine to visit. I may put him to work!

The weather looks absolutely wonderful for the whole weekend - I must remember SPF 30 when I'm cruising around outside. I'll be cooking pancakes for a couple of hours but hope to be able to do a walkabout.

The loons are back and it was great to hear them this morning. Now I know it's summer. Our village is between two lakes and the loons "commute" between the two early morning and evening. I love to hear them and am so glad we have clean lakes for them.

Gotta dash and give The Girls some attention as they'll be alone a lot today. Drat! I should have rented a movie for them! Lassie or Old Yeller?

Outta here. Have a shiny day!

Morning gals

Sounds like you have a fun weekend plan of Festival and Flowers. I am getting ready to go to a training class for prison ministry. Our pastor goes out at least once a week already. I have been looking forward to going for a while now.

NSV-I actually stayed on PH1 one whole day. I have been wanting to do this again for a long time but it has been a struggle. The more I tried the more I wanted to cheat. Finally I got ahold of myself yesterday. Of all days my DH suggest we go out to dinner. I told him no way--I just cannot handle it right now. Way too much temptation at this point.

Instead I took my DD to the mall and we tried on formal dress. Fun Fun Fun. She wants to enter a pagent and we need a dress. We found a beautiful dress that was just a smiggin too tight. She needs to keep working at it before she can get into a size 14. One thing I notice again all the 'young' pretty dresses are not in sizes that are above a 16. Also good luck even finding a size 16 in a 'young' style. The whole store may only have one or two to choose from. I have notice that size 8 is the size to be. Every store carries a nice selection in size 8.

Well gotta go. Have a wonderful day all.

Default Good Morning Everyone

Its going to be a beautiful day in Missouri. DS has a game this am then home to clean house. My dear friends' husband leaves for Iraq in two weeks so we are having them over for an all american bbq. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and lots of beer. My motto for today is "no buns no beer" " no buns no beer". Must keep reminding myself. Today is P1D4 and a weight down two pounds but scrubs fitting much better. So besides the bun less hamgurger im going to make coleslaw with light mayo and splenda and add some sunflower seeds for crunch. Anyone have any other side dish ideas for P1 BBQ? Something that says yummy not "oh Amy is on a diet".

Ruthxx have a great day at syrup heaven. I would kill for a pancake right now with real butter and warm syrup........yummy

Two peas I love beauty pagents. Im so glad she is entering. What color of dress did she pick?

All this talk about syrup has me making the mock waffles. So i have a question about SF syrup. I think the one everyone like is the large bottles you see behind the coffee cart lady. She has all these syrup flavors she adds to lattes. Is that what everyone uses? Does it come in maple flavor? Or does everyone just use a vanilla or other flavor? Is this kind better than say and Adkins SF you may just find in your diabetic section at the store? Im ready to eat some of Ruthxx pancakes but I just dont know what to put on top?

Morning everyone, just a quick note as I'm already at the office. I'm hoping to get enough done to be out of here by noon, but we'll see. Everyone else is coming in around noon and staying until 5 or 6, but I've really got to get packing.

I'm a little frustrated as I haven't been eating OP since earlier this week. I've just got to eat and run with us putting in extra office hours and then running home to pack. We're going to start moving things into the new house this afternoon and we'll continue doing that until Friday night. Saturday is when the furniture is going and I hope to be mostly settled in by Sunday afternoon. I'll still have to go to the old house and clean the carpets and what not. Phew.

Well, time to get back to work. I hope everyone has a great day and I'm sorry if my posts aren't as chatty as usual. I'll try to get back into it after we get settled in. Thanks!!

Good Morning Chicks,
I have a full day planned. Last weekend my Mom and I went and picked up this chest of drawers that I inherited and I bought a dresser at an antique store. I am cleaning and polishing that stuff up. Cleaning up the kitchen. Rearranging things in the house. A kid is coming to mow the grass. Balancing check book. Going to the store. Relaxing…yeah right! It will be fun though…cause it’s all on my terms I am feeling much better after taking my dyflucan (sp). I had been run down…apparently the infection was taking more of a toll than I knew.

I LOST ANOTHER POUND THIS WEEK!!! Yeah!!!

Cottage~I love Saturday too! I just like being able to do whatever I want too—even if that is housework I so wish that we had a Trader Joe’s in WV…So sad

Ruth~Have fun at the festival today. I could totally get by doing pancakes—I hate them I love that your dogs watch movies…have fun you have a busy exciting weekend ahead. Wear that sunscreen!

Stinger~Congratulations on sticking to phase 1—it is hard, but so worth it. You just feel better. I feel your pain finding dresses for your daughter. When I was in High School I went to the prom all four years and was 12-16. I wasn’t big anywhere except my DD chest. I would find a dress that fit everywhere else, but the boobs!!! So embarrassing. One cool memory. My senior year I found a dress in Seventeen Magazine that I loved. It was a Gunny Sax (sp) and it was so “*****in” (it was 1991!) I tried it on IN A SIZE 3, cause that was all they had…they ordered it in a size 15/16 for me and ordered extra material to adjust the chest. I was playing tennis that year, and by the time the dress came in I had to have it taken in I was so happy!

Welcome2my world~Congrats on the better fitting scrubs and I hope you have a ball at your barbeque…such a cool thing to do for your friend! I am no a syrup eater…so I am no help.

Have a wonderful day

Good morning! Happy, happy weekend!

Cottage - the sun is shining here today, too. I just love waking up to sunshine...it just puts a smile on my face and makes me feel so much more energetic.
Ruth - Does the festival have SF syrup, too? Hope you are enjoying the day. I've never heard loons...I'd like to one day.
Stinger - Congratulations on completing a day of PH1! We all know how difficult that can be!
welcome - I hope your BBQ is a great success! Enjoy yourself.
Kim - How exciting to be moving into your new home! I know how hard it is to stay on-plan with all that is going on in your life right now. Hang in there...things will be quieter again soon.
Sunny - Wow, you have a busy day! So glad you are feeling better.

Well, I had to set the alarm early this morning and jump out of bed for house cleaning. There was a realtor coming by with people to see our house at 10:15. We got a call about 9 that they werent coming until 5:30 this afternoon. Oh well....I didnt get to sleep in...but, I'm getting an opportunity to sit down, post on 3FC and have a second cup of coffee. No other appointments yet...for today or tomorrow. I'm hoping for some more traffic. The real estate market here has really tanked out. Hopefully, we can get the house sold and make our move during the summer. I'd like the girls to start off at their new school at the beginning of the year..with everyone else. My Dad was in the Air Force and we moved a lot....I know how hard it is to be the new kid. Well, I've chatted quite a bit....I better go do some more house cleaning!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Welcome, the SF syrup can either be a regular pancake syrup (such as Aunt Jemina or Vermont Farms, etc.), or you can use any SF syrup that you can find. We particularly like the DaVinci syrups or the Torani brands.

Hi everyone
I just got back from my first ministry trip to the prison. It was nothing like what I expected at all. The guys are free to walk around a huge complex. Only the inside/outside doors are lock. Otherwise the guys are free to walk in and out of several of the buildings. On the otherhand we are not allowed to walk around without an escort. Today was just the training and processing part. Next time we go in it will be for ministry.

Thanks for asking about the dress. Unfortunatly the dress we liked was not in a 16. The 14 was a bit too tight. Besides it was nearly $300.00 Since the pagent is not until July I am giving her more time to lose weight and hopefully find a similar cut and style on clearence.

Well since I've been gone most of the day I have alot of catching up to do. Take care.

Hellooooo Beachers! We came home this evening, and I finally got the girls to bed about 15 minutes ago. What a whirlwind couple of days. My sister and I fared well at the sale...Mom, not so much. I came home with only one new thing (a sit n' spin that I've been searching all over creation for) and left everything that didn't sell for my sis to deal with. She said she was going to tackle another sale in a couple of weeks. I'm not going back as the only thing of mine of any value that didn't sell was my stroller & carseat set.

At any rate, I overindulged - as I knew I would - and am paying for it dearly tonight. Almost scared to step on the scale tomorrow, but I have to do it. If you hear a ghastly scream at about 5:30 tomorrow morning, it's me. I'm planning to get up early to get my workout in before the girls are up.

Finally found the time to check in. I am up waiting for the last round and check in with my staff. Hoping for a continued quiet night, but the weather is still nice and we are nearing the end of the year...my peace could be short lived.

Scott and I didn't do much today. I few errands, some TV, went to dinner at a bar with an outside patio, not OP, but it was nice to be able to enjoy a meal outdoors for a change. A nice and relaxing Saturday. Odd to start it at 11 am and end at 3 am - about the same number of hours, the times are just off!

Not much planned for tomorrow (hopefully sleeping in). I am off call at 4:30 and we are going to friends for a BBQ , hoping for a good selection, I am picky about picnic foods in general (I won't eat anthing with mayo, ranch, sour cream, am leary of most pasta salads, etc) and with the diet who knows what I will find to eat. But, as they are new friends and have not asked us to bring anything I am not sure if it would be rude to do so. I seem to find weekends so much harder to stay on plan - the lack of schedule.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
Ally

and quick good morning while I sip coffee.

I really am exhausted this morning from a terribly busy day yesterday. The village was packed with people and today will be just the same. I still have a more sandwiches left to make and will get them done before Church. No time to do it after Church and still be on sausage duty before 11. I think Lucy will be playing hooky from obedience class today as DB David arrives at 5 and I still haven't readied the guest room! I've been loading stuff for the yard sale in there and shutting the door! I'll be doing stevedore duty this afternoon. Me strong voman!

Lovely sunrise is missing this morning but the forecast is still for a sunny day. Let's hope they are right.
