i love starbucks and i use to be a huge fan (literally) of the caramel frappuchino until i found out just how many calories i was drinking with it so i made the change to the green shaken ice tea and love it! its low in calories and its really good. my question here is.. is there any other drink that i can get from there that is also not that bad? what do you get?
The tall skim, sugar-free cinnamon dolce latte is an excellent choice.
I sometimes get a tall coffee and ask them to put a few squirts of sugar free vanilla syrup in it (or the sugar fee cinnamon dolce syrup). Then I add a tbsp or so of skim milk. The whole thing comes to around 10 calories. You could put in 1 tbsp of whole milk and it would still only be around 20 calories.
Another choice is a tall sugar-free vanilla latte. That comes to around 120 calories I think.
Lately, at home I have been making African bush tea (I get the honeybush tea from Trader Joe's) with 2 tbsp sugar free toffee flavored Torani syrup and 1 tbsp fat free half and half. It rivals any latte I've even gotten from Starbucks and is only 10 calories.
I usually get whatever house coffee is available w/equal and a splash of half and half or an Americano (espresso w/water) or Mocha Frappuccino light, no whip. I'm trying to wean myself away from Starbucks not only for my waistline, but because my wallet's getting skinny because of it
Used to get a Venti Vanilla Latte. Used to get a Venti lowfat Vanilla Latte. Used to get a Venti Sugar-free, lowfat, Vanilla Latte. NOW GET a Tall coffee with skim. Sigh........
