Default How long does it take for campers (tennis) elbow to go away?

I injured my elbow in Sept. when we were camping. I went to the dr. in Nov and she said I had tennis elbow. I informed her that I didn't like tennis and she had to give me something else. Since I like camping, she "gave" me campers elbow.

I did the exercises she gave me for months. Finally, I started therapy on it in Jan. I'm now going 1 - 2 times/wk.

I can't do my dvd WATP that uses the weights. I'd like to start incorporating weight into my workouts. However, it's too painful. My elbow is not sore, it hurts.

As much as I hate needles, I'm considering getting cortizone (sp). Any advice?

Maybe you should ask your doctor or your physical therapist about it. It seems like you should be seeing some improvement by now. My SO had it years ago and he says that it did take weeks for it to go way. He did not need to get cortizone shots for it, but he did back off from playing tennis while it was healing (and, unfortunately, never really got back in the habit).
