Happy Hump Day, EveryChick!

You know, I really miss Hensa in here starting us up. She was kind of like a little bird singing away on the windowsill each morning.

I went for about 40 minutes of walking yesterday - it took me an hour and a half since this is a really visiting village! I also spent about an hour tromping through the woods (wearing hunter's orange) searching for "Travis". He lives about 4 miles from me and was here for a visit early yesterday morning. He takes a notion to go hunting every so often and is just a bit dumb about the bush. Luckily he is black and white so is not mistaken for a deer. He did make it home by 10 last night so all is well. Yesterday must have been "Lassie get home" day - did you see the news about Scoobies babies?

Did not get wrapping or sewing done yesterday afternoon but did practice piano for much longer than usual. (I also sat and read and sipped cranberry tea for an hour!) Christmas recital is December 6 and I am getting my usual case of dumb nerves.

I am off for my lesson this morning - a double one - and then will hit the grocery store. We are in dire need of veggies and I am really really sick of broccoli. I wish it was not available all year round! We had that pork and cabbage dish last night - very yummy. I am going to make lunch soup out of the "remains".

Let Pooky know if you want to be on the card list!

Have a great day!

Good Morning Ruth and Leens and all those to come! :)

Yes, Ruth is right, TOMORROW is the day I send out the lists so you have just today left to send me a personal message to include you on the Christmas card exchange! Don't be shy, please send me address, remember we are all friends here who care and support us everyday! Wouldn't you like to send a special Christmas wish to them?

As for me, woke up late and rushed around the house trying to get everything together and everyone out the door.

Today is all about laundry and tomorrow is all about shopping! I figure itis a fair trade off, so why not? Actually, it's a fairly quiet day, working on some last minute crafty stuff for Christmas.

Have a good one Chicks and drink your water!

hey there girlies!

I got up this morning at 5:00 because I had an appointment with Leslie Sansonne and her walking video  I love getting that out of the way first thing in the morning. Now I can go do some Christmas shopping on my lunchhour!

Leenie??? you still doing your walking videos??? how's it going?

Ruth - I am so glad you go walking in your woods with hunter's orange on - that would be a very dangerous thing to do in the woods of Louisiana - lots of hunting around here - sounds like there must be a lot around there too! Stay safe and bright orange! hehe

I got to get in the chatroom for a minute late last night and heard that I had just missed Ruth - rats! Boy the chatroom is really kicking at night!

Hope everybody has a great day on program!

Be good to yourself!

hugs, cathy

Howdy all; Hope everyone is fine on the Wed. The week is just speeding by. And I'm sucked in by this rotten cold... Can't believe I spent most the day in bed yesterday and probably will today. I never do that. I've still got about a 1/4 of my book I'm reading left so guess I may get that finished. Every once in awhile I jump up and check the e-mail. Its the high light of my day right now. LOL!!! But still on program. I have to tell my DH exactley what to fix me. He's doing a really good job. Even made me some jello last night. (sugar free) We still have that craft show coming up the day after Thanksgiving and I've got so much to do......... EEEEE..... I'll panic tomorrow.. Boy a walk in the woods sounds wonderful. If I could breathe in I think I could just imagine that smell. Well this is soooo boreing I'll quit and go for the bed again..... Have a great day...

Well, the stress test was "interesting"! I had some strange sensations, but nothing uncomfortable. Now, I'm wearing a monitor for 48 hours. I have to keep a diary of my activities too. I had this neat idea to speed up my heart rate really fast and write down "Wild Sex!" in the diary. DH told me to behave myself.

I'm going to do the usual housewifey stuff and then get my hair done. I can't take a shower (gross) and we have to go out to eat tonight. Some Lutheran company is feeding the Ladies Aid, so I'm polishing off my presidents tiara for the evening.;)

Bye now and take care!

Hi Gang: Am the new face on the block, but am on WW (with a low carb slant), do my treadmill every day before (or around 6 AM), and am constantly trying to chat someone up in the chat room, but alas - can't find anyone home!

Met Tippy in there once, and have bumped into RuthXX on another bulletine board - so here I am.

I lost 4.4 lbs. my first wk. on WW, and started Yoga today - and am all enthused about life in general.....having a wonderful fall (sunny today and no snow, wind or rain) - so life is good.

Hoping I can contribute to the enthusiasm and support here...

See you soon,

Kermit:)

Hi and welcome, Kermit. I'm also on WW and trying to keep it fairly low carb. I've lost 19 pounds since mid-June which is not fast but hopefully it will stay off.
This morning I did my morning swim, ran some errands and then settled down to do some painting. I have a bunch of little gift boxes about 5" x 9" to paint with flowers and berries, etc. to be sold at my women's group's craft fair this coming Saturday. I also have to do some baking for it but will leave that until Friday so I won't be too tempted.
DH is still away. I'll be picking him up at the airport on Sunday afternoon. He's probably gained 20 lb from indulging in his sisters' and sis-in-laws' good baking and there will be no pleasing him with my humble offerings. Those German gals are great bakers.
Not much else new to report here. Rain, rain, rain coming down in buckets and barrels. Neverending, boring, miserable RAIN! Poop!
