Happy Saturday Everyone --

I just bought some "raw" wheatgerm and have a recipe that calls for toasted wheat germ.

So, is there a way for me to toast what I already have or do I need to buy it toasted ?

Also, what else can I do with raw wheat germ?

Thanks.
Christine

I have a tsp of raw wheatgerm on my cereal or porage in the morning. It's full of vitamin E. Great for the skin. :)

I have been looking for wheatgerm for a long time and have never successfully found it.

Couldn't you just maybe spread a thin layer on a baking sheet and pop it in a low temp oven for just a few minutes? Make sure you don't overcook it, best to check it often (as in every minute or 2) to make sure you don't burn it.

I don't eat it but my daughter's favorite breakfast is yoghurt with a chopped banana and some wheat germ sprinkled on top.
