Default Sports Bras for the bigger bust

Can anyone recommend a really good supportive sports bra for a D-cup?

I've been using Shockabsorbers which are great for high impact work but I find when doing serious a serious aerobic workouts that the chestband digs into me when I'm really out of breath. I can't go up a chest size as it's then too loose.

Something supportive that'll let me gasp for breath would be great

I use shock absorbers. Can you go up a band size and down a cup size? I usually wear a different size sports bra to prevent bounce - I generally test it out in the changing room.

Which "impact level" do you use and what are you using it for? I generally use impact level 4 for everything.

I notice Nike has a new sports bra out which I really want to try, but for £40 I think it's a bit much.

I'm not sure where you are but in I'm in Toronto and we have a great chain of stores (all over Canada) called LuLu Lemon. They sell really great athletic wear, I am a D cup and I bought one of their "Bounce Breaker" bras and it has been the best sports bra that I have ever had.

Hi Ash15+, I'm afraid I'm in a rural bit of the UK, so we don't have access to LuLu Lemon here. Am hoping to get back to Vancouver for another visit next year though, so maybe I'll take the opportunity to go bra shopping!

2frustrated - I'm pretty sure I can't go down to a C cup - I wore a 38 C for some years and had alot of discomfort because my bras didn't fit right. Now I'm taking a 36 D things are generally much better. I have a level 4 shock absorber in a 36 D and a 36 DD(which is a little large) but find the band a bit unforgiving. I've now ordered one of these which I hope will work better for me. Really I need to go and try on a whole load of different shapes and sizes, but my nearest Bravissimo is Oxford, a good hour and a half away and the local shops aren't up to much!

I'm a 36F and have never found a sports bra that does the job - therefore what I do is wear a crop-top type shock absorber bra over a normal bra - I feel strapped up like a mummy but it almost does the trick! I still knock myself out doing jumping jacks though!!
