I guess I'll get the ball started.

And let me just say for the very first time I am feeling quite reluctant to post my ""good" week. Can't exactly put my finger on it as to why. But if I'm going to be honest here, and I always am, that's the way I feel. I am feeling quite defensive these days. It's not a good feeling. I don't like it.

I am down 5 lbs.

04-09-2007, 09:18 AM
Congrats, Robin! You're in the 160's! That's fabulous.

I'm down 2. Darn scale flashed the "20's" at me....but settled square on 230. Drat! Oh well, next week for sure!

04-09-2007, 09:47 AM
Way to go, Robin and Tricia! Good losses.

I'm reporting in at a 1.2 lb loss. (I love the .2 on my scale, it just seems so much better than just 1 pound) I was kind of hoping for more, but this is good!

04-09-2007, 09:50 AM
Can I join you chicks? I need the accountability.

I've been stuck at 205.5 for weeks now after a horrendous 5 pound March.
It's still 205.5 this morning but this is the week it will move!

04-09-2007, 09:56 AM
I'm down 1.2 lbs today.

Robin, Thank you for posting your loss. I love seeing your progress!

04-09-2007, 10:02 AM
I'm down 2 lbs.

04-09-2007, 10:16 AM
Good job, girls. Rhonda - way to get back in and start losing after a slow down! :D

04-09-2007, 10:52 AM
Robin, congrats! You're going to be at your goal in no time.. wow! I hope your negative feelings don't continue.. that can't be a good feeling at all.

Congrats Tricia, you'll be in the 20s in no time :) I hate it when the scale teases! BAH!

Diane, Rhonda, and Jenny, awesome work! Keep it up ladies! :cheer:

I really need to buy a new scale.. I'm thinking about running over to bb&b on my lunch break.. is there a particular one any of you absolutely swear by? The one in my house.. well, it just stinks. And not just because I don't like what number it showed this morning after the food coma induced by easter

04-09-2007, 10:55 AM
Robin - please don't ever not post your loss. You are inspiring to so many. You are doing all the right things and your body is responding how it should - I don't think anyone is in the wrong for losing quicker or slower - if we're doing it right that's all that matters. :):carrot:

Tricia - there is a special reserved spot for you in the 220's next week. :) Congrats on your loss this week!

slash - congrats on your loss! 1 pound, even without the .2 is fantastic - that's four sticks of butter!

Ruth - here's hoping next week shows a loss!

Rhonda - awesome job! Thank you for sticking around and getting back OP - what motivation for the rest of us that even if we stray for a while, we can just get right back OP. :)

JennyWenny - congrats on your loss. :)

04-09-2007, 11:08 AM
Congrats chicks!!!

Robin - Please don't feel bad. If you only knew how truly motivating you are... :D

04-09-2007, 11:27 AM
Thank you ladies. I really want to thank you for the support. I really hate this feeling. I think you all know that I love this place and I have to tell you I seriously considered not posting my loss this week. But I said from the beginning that I was going to be totally honest. I mean I'm so happy on one hand, but I really feel as if I have to keep it toned down. By the way, defense mode coming into play here, I have had many, many 2lb loss weeks and under as well. 3 weeks or so ago I even had my first no loss week. So it really does vary for me - greatly, even though I do mostly the same thing week to week. I'm not going to up my calories, I am eating a healthy amount of very healthy foods. And I am very satisfied and not hungry. There is no way to know from week to week when I will have a 1 lb loss or a 3 or 4 lb loss. Although I am expecting not so much for next week. Changing my calorie level would be pointless. I am eating more then enough calories (1200-1400). This was a holiday week for me and I had my kids home. I decided a couple of weeks ago that for the week I'm just gonna eat what I want and if I gain, I gain. And then when it came time to actually do it - well I couldn't do it. I said I just don't want to waste a week. Though I guess in actuality I did eat what I want - I just want healthy foods. I am not a patient person. Never was. When I decided to lose the weight, that's it, there was no turning back for me. When I first broached the subject of me losing weight with my DH, he said to "Well, why not, when you're determined to do something - you do it." Thank you again ladies. I'm sure I'll get over my funk.

And a big hearty congrats to everyone else. I am so happy to see so many of you losing. It is just an incredible thing to "witness". So many of us losing so much weight together.

Dana, I have a Tanita scale with body fat %. It weighs in .02 of a lb increments. I am very happy with it.

04-09-2007, 12:06 PM
I have a weight watchers conair digital scale and I love it. It was only $30 (or $35) at Costco.

You should be very proud of your losses. It is amazing that you stuck through it with a tough week for you. I also think that it shows you will adjust fairly easy to maintenance because when you gave yourself permission to eat whatever you wanted, you chose the healthier options.

I will report in tomorrow... :)

04-09-2007, 12:14 PM

I've been putting this off for weeks. I posted that I would start again and I haven't done it. Today is the day! I feel like eating less healthy food already. Okay, I put it in writing, so now I have to stay on plan.

Goal weight-around 155

Congrats to everyone who posted! I am vowing to post even if I do not do well. I"m not going to run off the board and hide. I did that for several years, and it doesn't help at all!

I"ll try to post later. My internet connection is running so SLOWLY!

04-09-2007, 12:37 PM
Way to go, ladies!!! :woohoo: You all are doing great!

ROBIN - I can see how you might feel the way you do, but I want to join the others in saying PLEASE don't ever feel bad for posting your weight! If the feeling is coming from wondering if anyone will take offense, please know that you are many times more an inspiration than you are a 'threat.' You are ABSOLUTELY an inspiration! As someone already said - you do the right things and you reap the rewards. I, for one, am very glad you post here. You (and so many others) are the reason I have done what I have done thus far!! Don't stop now! Too many are following you.

I will be posting my loss tomorrow (did I say 'loss' by faith mabye? LOL!!).

04-09-2007, 12:57 PM
Robin, way to go, I agree with RitzyFritz you are such an inspiration on this site, I know that when I am having a bad day, I look at your posts and they give me motivation. Thank you for being so very honest with all your posts. You truly are an amazing lady.
Thanks for all you have given me.

04-09-2007, 01:03 PM
Can I join you chicks? I need the accountability.

I've been stuck at 205.5 for weeks now after a horrendous 5 pound March.
It's still 205.5 this morning but this is the week it will move!

Absolutely! You can do this!!

04-09-2007, 01:09 PM
Dana: All I have to say is get one with the .2 pound increments. I like having that on mine. BB&B had a great selection. I like the one that I have because the base is so big. I don't feel like my toes are hanging over the edge!

Robin: I'm echoing everyone else. You are so far ahead of me and that is ok!! I look at all the big losers that are so close to goal and it gives me the hope and motivation I need. There ARE people out there who are making it, so I CAN do it too!

04-09-2007, 01:10 PM
Robin--You are amazing and truly inspiring! Please don't let anything or anyone stand between you and your goal. We're all going to lose at different rates and with different methods. I for one am thrilled beyond belief for you. A tiny bit jealous? Of course! But soooo happy for you! :D

I lost 2 pounds this week. Not too shabby considering I ate off-limits stuff yesterday. I didn't intend to. I had a great plan in place. And the chocolate pie happened. What was a girl to do?!?!

Great job chicks!

Congrats on all the losses ladies!!
Robin ~ you are such an inspiration, please don't feel badly about posting your wonderful losses, for me it is something I look forward to seeing! I know I am not going to be far behind you.;)

04-09-2007, 01:52 PM
I took a brief (3wk) hiatus from the scale because I felt it wasn't cooperating! I guess I misjudged the poor thing because today I am down 9 pounds! Yippeee! My body seems to stay at one weight for a couple of weeks and then I make a drastic drop (5 lbs or better). Does anyone else do that? I eat exactly the same way. Seems odd to me.

04-09-2007, 04:25 PM
199, ate too much food on vacation but I guess thats whats vacations are for!!

04-09-2007, 04:34 PM
Congrats to all the losers!!

Well it was week 1 weigh in and I am down..
9 pounds

04-09-2007, 04:49 PM
Congrats, Ashley!!!! Wow!

04-09-2007, 05:00 PM
Shellyknits -- I am the same as you, if I stop for awhile and then diet, I lose 6-12 pounds in a week. Its amazing but I know mines is mostly water weight but it still feels good. Congrats!

suzie76 -- Thanks :)

04-10-2007, 05:30 AM
The good ol' fluctuation game! I weighed yesterday cuz I was excited and couldn't wait for today (my regular weigh-in day). Well, yesterday showed I was down 2 lbs - today shows I'm down 1 lb (TOM lurking around the corner). But, I'm just going to update with the 1 lb and then hopefully next week will show a greater loss. :crossed: :smug:

04-10-2007, 07:12 AM
Oh my goodness. You ladies are too much. Waaaay too much in fact. But in a very good way. I am overwhelmed by your responses. Simply overwhelmed. I am truly speechless, or would that be I have a case of writer's blcok instead? I so greatly appreciate what you all said. Thank you to each and every one of you. And may I add you ALL inspire me as well. Let's just hope we keep on continuing to inspire and support each other for a very, very long time.

04-10-2007, 10:27 AM
I lost 6 lbs this week. I'm in the 240s (yay!) :)

04-10-2007, 11:22 AM
Great, Nelie!! Way to go.

04-10-2007, 11:43 AM
6 lbs!!! - in one week???!!!!! Congratulations Nelie. You most certainly are back on the band wagon - BIG TIME. You must be ecstatic. Keep it up.

04-10-2007, 12:24 PM
Congratulations Nelie!! 6 pounds is awesome.

04-10-2007, 12:25 PM
WTG everyone!!

Shelly & Ashely - WOO HOO on 9 lbs!!! Awesome!

Nelie - Doesn't it feel great to enter the next "decade"??? That's great!!

As for me, I'm up 1/2 a lb! No shocker as I weigh everyday, but I was really on plan this week, except for Easter Sunday - and I only went about 300-400 cals over. I think it's my exercise, which has pretty much dropped off. Gotta get back to it...I know the lbs will come off when I do.

04-11-2007, 10:35 AM
I'm down another 3 pounds this week! :)

Nelile - WTG! And congrats on a new decade. :)

Ritzy - yay, another pound gone!

Ashley - awesome! I love that first week big loss! So motivating. :)

Monica - congrats on those two pounds!

Shelly - WTG on your loss!

04-11-2007, 10:41 AM
Congrats all those who lost.

I'm down 2lbs :carrot: I didn't do great a few days so I'm happy with it.

04-11-2007, 10:43 AM
keeperofthehome = congrats! :)

04-11-2007, 10:46 AM
:congrat: Everyone is doing so well!! Keep up the great work!

04-11-2007, 11:00 AM
Congrats everyone :)

And thanks everyone :) I love the new decades...

04-12-2007, 06:54 PM
I'm really struggling here.. but never quitting. Lost 1 lb

04-12-2007, 11:21 PM
I'm really struggling here.. but never quitting. Lost 1 lb

Way to go, Dana! Please don't quit. This means too much to you!

04-13-2007, 08:08 AM
I'm really struggling here.. but never quitting. Lost 1 lb

Absolutely, quitting is simply NOT an option, it's just NOT. Celebrate that one lb. girl. That is nothing to feel badly about. NOTHING. LOSING 1lb DOES require some work and discipline without a doubt. If you've lost 1 lb, well then you can certainly lose another and another. Hang tough. You are worth it. The food - not so much.

04-13-2007, 10:11 AM
Egh. I need to stop weighing in every day, becuase it's making me crazy. At first it would keep me "on track" but now it's just frustrating. I feel bloated and gross but weighed in anyway.

I was 244.5 last week, and after last weekend I'd gained 4, then I lost another 2. So I'm up two from last week to 246.6. Oh well. Next week is another story, hopefully.

Mrs Quadcrew
04-13-2007, 10:17 AM
Here I am the last one of the week!;) I am down 1 pound also. Total of 45 for the 14 weeks! I am really looking forward to the next 5 being gone - that 5-0 number will look good somewhere else!:D

04-13-2007, 11:18 AM
Dana - hang in there! We're all pulling for you. I'm still trying to decide how weighing every day affects me....I've tried weighing weekly, every other day, daily, twice a week...just can't seem to figure out what is best for my frame of mind. Right now I'm in a daily mode but that one does tend to frustrate me quite a bit, too. I think the entire process sometimes just gets a little overwhelming, don't you!?

Mrs Q - Great job! 45 lbs in 14 weeks!!! That's outstanding!

04-13-2007, 11:20 AM
I was down 2 yesterday, but last night was a happy hour for someone leaving our group and I overindulged. So I'm up 3 pounds from yesterday, 1 pound for the week. I'm taking comfort in the fact that there's no way I could have gained 3 pounds of fat in 24 hours, so my goal is to lose this 3 pounds of water weight this weekend.

04-13-2007, 11:24 AM
MrsQuadcrew - congrats on the loss!

SexyRevealed - I think you're right - there's no way you gained 3 pounds over night!

Dana - I'm sorry about the gain! People on another board I'm on seemed to really struggle with the holiday weekend as well. Just stick with it and I'm sure you'll see a big loss next week!

Char - Just one pound? One pound is a GREAT loss!:carrot:

04-13-2007, 12:29 PM
I'm really struggling here.. but never quitting. Lost 1 lb

Dana, good for you for not giving up. And a pound is wonderful! In fact, I lost a pound this week!! VFT for me!! :broc: The scale is finally moving downward again. 95 total--yay! :carrot:

Congrats to everyone on their losses. And to the people who didn't have losses, well, tomorrow is another chance to get back on track.

Robin, please don't ever feel like you can't share your success with us. I'm sad that the thought went through your head. I'm always so happy to hear about people's success. As others have said, you are definitely an inspiration!

04-13-2007, 05:55 PM
Tricia, thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with the "how often to weigh." Daily was working for me for quite awhile, but it's zigzagging so much lately that I can't even tell. Thank you for your support!

Jenny, thank you.. I definitely do hope next week is better news :)

04-13-2007, 10:13 PM
312, down 2.

04-13-2007, 11:35 PM
sheila and scarlettdrawl - congrats on your losses. :)

04-14-2007, 10:24 AM
Congrats to everyone. :cheer2:

I'm a horrible lurker and after posting my weight loss I few times here, I slid back into just reading.

I lost 1.8 pds this week which brings me to 197.8. Last week I was 199.6 so not quite ready to believe I was actually under 200pds. Now I feel like running around and jumping up and down. :running: :trampo:

I still am figuring out how often to step on the scale as well. I only record it Saturday morning, but I step on the scale multiple times a day most days. Sometimes it doesn't bother me but other times I get discouraged by the numbers. I do now recognize that I'm up 4 pds or so at night compared to when I first wake up.

It sure is nice to see all the losses on here. I had a blast in California.... but as of Monday I was up 1.5. That's gone, so maybe I will get a loss next weigh in.

04-14-2007, 02:49 PM
Great losses everyone and for those who didn't have losses, I'm glad you posted, too. I try to post even when I don't have a loss, so I am glad that you have, too! Next week will be even better!

04-14-2007, 04:56 PM
Congrats Kilmeny on getting to Onederland!!!

I lost 1 lb of my water weight gain from Thursday. Two more to go!

04-14-2007, 05:52 PM
kilmeny -congrats on onederland! :)

sexyrevealed - congrats on the one pound.

chunky teacher - glad you had fun! :)

04-15-2007, 02:59 PM
I am down another 3 pounds...I'm happy, yet slightly bummed. I weigh on Wednesdays too, and lost 2.5 from last Sunday to Weds., but only .5 from Weds. to today. I was hoping to see a little more progress.....but am still very pleased. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I am going to continue weighing twice a week, to keep my-self in check. Otherwise, I'll veer off track for a few days, then scramble 2 days before weigh-in to udo the damage! :D

To those that lost more than they expected last week, please keep posting! You are a great motivation! And 3 cheers for every one that keeps working towards their goal! :cheer:

04-15-2007, 03:04 PM
Nicki - that's a great loss, congrats. :)

04-15-2007, 03:20 PM
I have been a 3FC member for many years now,on and off,but have never posted here. I'm going to join in on your weigh ins. I weigh on Sundays and lost 3.2 pounds this week. I started my journey this time around at the end of January and to date, I have lost 47.4 pounds. I'm hoping to hit 50 by next week. Congrats to everyone that lost. It is such an inspiration.

04-15-2007, 03:34 PM
I lost 2 lbs. I wasn't good all week but I did manage to keep exercising.

04-15-2007, 03:59 PM
bobsgal - Welcome ! Congrats on the 3.2 lbs.

Dawn - Congratulations :)

04-15-2007, 04:06 PM
Thank you nelie :)

04-15-2007, 09:29 PM
Hey all!

I lost 3lbs this week. I finally got back to following the plan! If I lose 2 next week then I will be in my 70's. :carrot:
