Default Emotional eating at its best...

I did it. I succumbed. I am having a hateful rage-filled day.

About 20 minutes ago I succumbed to eating as a way to fill the rage.

.
.
.

I very angrily ate 1 oz pecan/cranberry trail mix, 8 grapes, 3 celery sticks and a carrot..oh and the 2 wheat thins left on dd's plate from snack. Total damage about 220 calories

At a time of day when I normally have a snack

With STILL more than enough calories left in my day for dinner and probably dessert.

AND with a cabinet full of cookies, chocolate and other treats leftover from the ski trip.

You know ....carrots make a really mean crunch when you eat them angrily.

that snack isn't bad at all.

And I can't eat when I'm angry. Anger just makes my stomach acid CHURN.

Congratulations! May we all learn to vent our emotional eating in similar ways!

Emotional eating at its best indeed! Way to go! You eat those carrots!

On another note, I hope the rest of your day was better, and here's to tomorrow being a great day for everyone!

Phenomenal job ennay. Really, really awesome. If we all had emotional eating outbursts like that one, well there would be no need for a 3FC. Maybe a 3C, but there would be no F. We'd all be just a bunch of slim chickies.

Yanno WHAT??? That is a real milestone! I mean, it takes "emotional eating" to a whole new level. Maybe we should call it "Conscious Emotional Eating", or CEE. You could write a book! We could contribute! You could give us each a very tiny percentage of the profits (It WAS your idea, after all...)

Crunching carrots to relieve anger and frustration....

Munching celery to dispell annoyance...

Biting the heads off of broccoli to express rage...?????? Oooooooohhhhh
ouchies!!!!

Congrats! And all within your daily calorie allowance... now THAT rocks!!!!!

That's me. Man, if I could just stay angry for a few months, I'd hit goal easily.

ellabella-- CEE - I like it!

heaven/kelema - oh I wish that was me --I get to this state where I feel I just have to shove stuff in my mouth and the I feel the physical release wash over me. Almost like...well if you dont drin often, you know how a few sips on an empty stomach can hit fast and you feel the muscles release? Like that.

The fun part was I had enough cals left over to have a decent dessert last night and enjoy the taste. Because you cant taste at 200 calories/second

I love that!! I'm going to remember that one next time I'm feeling tempted to just stuff something in my mouth for the wrong reason. Or even for the right reason - if you're going to eat it, you may as well slow down and enjoy it!
