30-Somethings - how do you calculate.........

how many calories you should be eating in a day...i am doing the ww program and so i am counting points but i am interested in just also logging how many calories i am taking in....i know there is a different calculation for maintaining weight and one for losing weight...does anyone know how to calculate it?..thanks in advance
