How often Do you guys Shop in the first year. . .My only shopping yardstick is my sister who is the Shopmaster General. I'm really tired of looking like MC Hammer in my pants. Obviously I have no spring clothes as All my clothes except for 2 suits and a dress that I have to work on parting with are gone. I have less than 30 lbs to go till my goal weight and My 14s are starting to slide below my stomach. Should I wait till I'm 20 lbs away should I buy now? How many pounds does it take to change sizes when you're skinny?:?:
I'm getting Frustrated!

Well, sounds like you need to buy a few things now!!! Or else your clothes will fall off and you will be walking around bare!!! ha!! Really, I wouldn't buy much, but a couple of cute outfits should get you through. My sister went to the Salvation army and bought some jeans and things to get her through the transition.

Since all my weight is in my stomach, I could lose 50 lbs and go down 1 size... its so strange LOL.

I did the Goodwill/Salvation Army thing for several months. It was a swap--I donated the clothes that didn't fit & bought some new ones that were a little tight (so they would last longer). I work in an office, so tan, black, navy slack & some tops in many colors got me through several months. I would swap out at least once a month for the first 7-8 months, then started building a wardrobe again (from clearance racks--who knows where I'll be next year).

The last 3-4 months was a much slower weight loss, as I started increasing calories & variety of foods to get myself on a maintenance program. I am happy at where I am now.

Good Luck on the clothes. That was a real source of grieving for me--I had some really nice clothes that I didn't want to get rid of.

I have no idea how quickly sizes go down when you are smaller but right now I'm at a stuck point with my clothes. I only have a few items that fit me (work related), but I refuse to buy any more clothes because I am going down in sizes this year (I swear it!!). So basically what I've done throughout my weight loss is get to a similar point where you are at, then buy some clothes. Hit all the sales you can. I don't know about skinny girls clothes (you are there!) but a couple months ago I bought some new stuff from Macy's when they were having a 75% off their sale items. Work the sales is what I say.

OK the update:
I went to TJ's last night with my GF to look for a coctail dress and I found one in a MEDIUM! (granted it's Jersey so stretchy) she had to force me to try it on I bought 2 pairs of pants 10s and 11s the 10's almost fit and the 11s were too small so I think their going back The didn't fit where smaller stuff usually does so we'll see.
Buying clothes stresses me out!

Thank you guys for the input my gfs have no understanding of how strange this is for me. nelie you called me skinny I could kiss you!
