G'day all,

I have no idea why but I have spent the last hour getting my 'drivers' etc. re-installed under the guidance of my service provider.
Whilst you are all asleep I have been struggling getting this new thread going:( I know you will all appreciate my efforts:D

In the meantime little time left now to post.

I am enjoying my visitors company. Resting my feet today whilst they are out sight seeing. Out to dinner tonight which will be nice. Tomorrow it is Melbourne Cup, the biggest day in the Australian Horse Racing Calendar. My cousin and I will stand out as I think we will be the only ones without a hat:D
There is a great festive atmosphere in town but unfortunately rain is forecast for tomorrow:(

After all this I was going to reply to some of the posts but the only ones that now spring to mind is Karen's sorry to hear about your friend, hope all will be well and slavika's about the gift of the pendant. Your friend must know you well to keep the gold half for you to have the blue:)

Have a great day all, think of me and wish me luck as I have my annual flutter on the horses:D
My guests are leaving again on Wednesday :(

Cheers
Maria

Slavika: Your little cheese cakes sounds good. Glad your friend like her present. It sure sounds pretty!

Maria: Installing drivers can be a pain some times! Your efforts on starting the thread are appreciated :) Enjoy the visit with your friends.

Hi to everyone else. Must get to work......ALAS :dizzy:

Hi Everybody
Glenda have you been absent for a couple of days. Now that we are on a new thread that Maria worked so hard to start for us I forget what was said. YIKES!!! Well I do remember that Maria is going to watch the ponies run. Good luck to you. :) :)

Did my duty, laundry, cleaning etc, nothing very exciting until my grandchildren arrived at 4:00. Boy I sure do love them...hee hee I think you know that.
Tomorrow is WW day and I hope I managed to come down in weight. I will be happy to take even 1/2#. For tea tomorrow I think I will make those nice little tarts that I made for my friend's birthday to see if the "tea time gals" like them.

We had such a nice day weather wise today, a real bonus when its November. Hope you all have a nice day tomorrow, talk to you then. Night all. :)

I didn't make it to WW on Sat. Had company, and that was a good excuse. Now I won't make it for two more weeks as we are going on a cruise. I will really have to be careful, since one could eat themselves silly on shipboard. I do promise to be good.:D

Slavika: I think I will try your idea in my nice little tart pans I bought in Canada this summer. That should work as well as muffin cups, don't you think? Did you check out the recipes in the last Cooking Lite.Magazine? Lots of little individual goodies.

Maria: Hope you win big !:D Do you have a formula bor choosing the horse, or do you just pick one that looks good?

Lily: I have had an exasperating night with MSN. I keep getting booted off the internet--right in the middle of writing a letter, or posting. Most frustrating. I have thought about calling tech support, but am not even sure of what sort of questions I should be asking. Maybe just saying I am getting fed up with getting booted off.

Hi everyone. Glenda, Trudy, Peggy, Geri

Karen: hope your friend has had good news from her biopsy.

See you tomorrow I hope. Ann

 Hi Ann I think that a "tart pan" should be used but I don't have a big one, just tiny ones. When I was out today I went to our Zeller's store but they only had muffin tins. When I am out on Wedneday with my friend I'll look in the speciality shops and buy myself one.
Where are you going on a cruise? I have never been on one. I have talked to DH about going on one and he said it's hard to golf on a ship. LOL :D I told him the ship does stop in all kinds of nice places that probably have all kinds of golf courses. One of these days I'm sure we'll go. :)
This weight thing is sure a life long struggle. When I was grocery shopping this morning I ran into a gal who used go to WW. She never did lose very much weight but I think she enjoyed the social aspect. Anyway, she was at the bakery counter, and had just bought two very LARGE Cinnamon buns.....and said to me, "now you know why I never lost any weight". She went on to say, she had just turned 88 yrs old and decided she was not meant to be thin, and was not going to worry about it any longer. :)
I think you and I both need Lily
living in our homes (maybe alternate weeks) to help us with our computer problems. Could you maybe arrange that
Lily ???:dizzy:
Talk to you later. Night

LilyG

Ann: Just ask them why you keep getting booted off. They must have something wrong for that to keep happening. But you should call them as they might not be aware there is a problem.
Where are you going on your cruise? I have never been on one but would like to one of these days.

Slavika: Yeah tell DH there is golf courses in all those places you stop at. He would for sure find them! Good luck at your WI! And have a fun tea time! Sure I will be right over to help with the computer!

Later all!

I have just read the last few days' posts, but, of course, can now remember nothing. I am hoping that Karen will post soon and let us know about her friend. I do hope it is negative. We have a guy at work who had surgery just last Friday. He had a tumor that was on his pancreas and liver and they took parts of those organs. Dave has 8 kids, so I hope he will be okay. Supposedly, it was unlikely the tumor was malignant, but still did a lot of damage.

Slavika - what a good friend you are! Getting a present for your friend that included a present for you too! Way to go, girl!

Ann, I hope you have a great time on your cruise. Wish I could join you. We did last weekend go visit my 84-year-old uncle with my sister and brother and spouses. He is such a sad case. His health is failing, and he lives in Hot Springs Village. This is fine if you are medium old, the way he was when he moved there, but now that he can't walk very far and is a little wobbly, how sad to be in a house with a high driveway and steps and have to drive in the mountains. We tried to encourage him to go to an assisted living center, but we can't "make" him do anything. He has no children, but he has a stepson and only old, like 91 year-old, friends who try to help him. You know how sad that is? After we left, he did go get a walker. And it has helped.

Well just 2 more days with wire on my toes! YEA! Maria, you sound like a social butterfly since your feet got better. I can't wait to wear real shoes too! And exercise again!

Lily - so sad to think about giving up on Halloween, isn't it? I just love it! We had about 30 little kids, so it was still fun. We still have patriotic scarecrows and hay bales in the yard.

Just a quick post to say that my friends biopsy came back good .It is nothing to worry about. Thanks for all your good wishes to her.

Ann you are going on a cruise? Where and when are you leaving? My friend and her whole family are leaving Here on Friday on their way to Fla . And I believe their cruise leaves on Sat . It's a Carribbean Cruise. That would be funny it you guy's were on the same ship.

Got to go...

I was down 1.4 lbs today at the WI. Last week was a nail biter, I just squeaked by with .2 to spare, so I worked at it harder this week. I never gets any easier.
Slavika's tarts were absolutely delicious  ..I will have to make that recipe for sure.
Karen Glad to hear your friend is ok. My SIL who had breast cancer twice was in trouble. She has Lymphoma (sp?) on her left arm. She got a sliver under her nail, and infection set in immediately, by evening she was in emergency with a 103 temp. She had to stay in hospital and have an antibiotic drip. This happened 2 wks ago, and she still hasn't completely recovered.
Glenda good to hear that that wire will be removed soon. Was your curly toe like a hammer toe?
Ann I am sure you will have a great time on your cruise. I have never been on one either, but still have hopes on it happening one of these years. I also want to know where you are going.
Maria Had to laugh  you are working while we are sleeping. How did you do at the races?
Lily are they still working you hard? The nerve of your employer.

G'day all,

Well my visitors are now on the way to Adelaide:(
We had the best time at the Melbourne Cup. DH and I were a little worried if my visitors would like it but they just loved it.
The day before they were in the city and saw the parade of the horses that were to take part in the Melbourne Cup Race. The shops were all decorated for the big event and the atmosphere was just 'party, party party'!!!!
The rain didn't dampen our spirits. We had lots of champagne :dizzy: (never felt my feet:D) , enjoyed seeing all the great fashions and spectacular hats. Our dh's had a few bets, a few wins and a few losses, came out about even at the end of the day.:)
My cousin and her husband had never experienced anything like it and just thought it was a fantastic day and were glad to have been part of it.

Trudy You are a bit of a role model, good for you being down at your WI.

Glenda I bet you cannot wait to get that wire out of your toe! I am going to try to get into walking mode again by starting off 30 minutes a day and slowly building it up. Hopefully that will help shifting some weight.
Karen Pleased to hear your friend's biopsy came back good. :)

Have a great day all
Cheers

Karen: so glad to hear all is well with your friend. Those can be a few scary days before the test results come in. The curise is a week. We are crusing the western Carribean. Key West, Cozumel, Cancun, and the Cayman Islands.(Georgetown) We have not been there before. We are leaving Sunday on the Zenith, Celebrity lines. So I fear that your friends are going to be on a different ship. Now is a good time for you all to book your cruise. There are fantastic bargains out there right now. And Slavika- tell your dh he can practice his putting on the ship :D
So when you all come to Florida we can have a personal type face to face reunion:D:D:Maybe everyone could book a cruise on the same ship, get reduced rates.  It is fun to dream!!

Trudy: you are so good. I am really going to have to watch my step and not yield to temptation, especially with the fancy desserts.::nono:

Glenda: So glad your toe is doing well. Sorry to hear about your Uncle. Independence is hard thing to give up.

Maria: Did you take any photos of the races. I'd like to see your hat. Your description reminded me of the scene in My Fair Lady when they took Eliza to Ascot. :D I'm Glad you broke even with the wagering.
We're counting the days, and trying to decide what to take, my dh says don't take too many clothes. I say, it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. So we'll see.

Will check back tomorrow. Ann

Ann It is 3 wednesday afternoon and I am playing canasta on line and watching Oprah when I got an email to say you have posted.

Your cruise just sounds fantastic and I also rather like your dream of all of us being on the same cruise:D That would be fun.

One day, we will all meet:D

I also have to confess I was one of the minority who did not wear a hat to the races. My cousin and I were very tempted to buy a hat but chickened out in the end:(
If anyone is interested, you can see some of the fashions on this page http://www.vrc.net.au/

Back to another game of canasta:)

 Hi Everybody Well what a great day at WW today. Not only did Trudy and our two tea time friends have a great weigh in so did I. I lost 2.6# Now it's important for me to stay motivated. :) Thinking about our holiday this winter and having to put on swimsuit should help.

Karen I am so pleased that your friend's results were good. What a relief that must be to her.

Ann can you even amagine all us "dollies" on the same cruise ship. Things would never be the same for them. :D I agree........taking more is better.

Glenda It's not easy coming up with presents for friends that I can end up getting half of. LOL I really have to work at it. :)

Maria happy you had such a nice time at the races. I enjoy going to them too, although we don't go very often. Of course the ones we have here are nothing like the big race you attended. At our races most people just wear jeans or slacks. Years ago when they first started I think the women used to get all dressed up for a couple of the bigger races that were held, and some wore hats.

Lily thanks, I knew you would come over if I needed you. :)

Hope you all have something nice to do tomorrow. Night.

Ann I was wrong about my friend leaving on Sat. I t is really Sunday and it sounds like the same ship. I know it is Celebirty. So if you see a dark haired curly headed with a little red shine to it. writting in her Weight Watchers Journal Her name is Donna. Her Husbands name is Steve. They will be traveling with 9 other people. Wouldn't it be a hoot if you guy's really ran into each other!:D

Trudy sorry about your SIL. Glad she is goint to be alright. Way -to - go on losing the pounds. How any one can lose with a friend like Slavika who is such a great cook is beyond me. Then she also loses herself!:dizzy: Good for you both!

Glenda a wire in the toe does not sound like fun. Oh yuk they still have to take the wire out. Years ago my sone had to havea pin in ihis elbow. I was there when it was removed. Got sick:o Right now my daughter has a pin in the end of her finger. I think I told you all she broke it this past Augrest playing softball. Well it healed badly and the doc. had to rebreak it and take a peice of bone from her rist to straighten it out. She has been off work since it happened. It is her right had and she is a transcriptionist. It will be January befor she can work again at her job. Since she has been off she has taken to cleaning one of the bars in town a popular haunt for the young people and bartending occaionally(tips are great) She has had a job since she was 16 and just can't seem to sit around.

Maria sounds like a fun day you all had. Never been to the races.

Hello to all the rest I'm on the run again.

Karen glad that your friend is fine. Maria the races sound like you all had a great time. The fashions are fun to look at. Slavika and Trudy you have been good and lost weight. You must not be nibbling on Slavika's treats. Slavika my dil,s parents went on a golf cruise last July in Ireland and Scotland. They cruised around different places and played lots of golf. She said it was wonderful. Ann have fun on yours and don't pig out - that is too easy to do. Shop a lot. I have a craft show this weekend so I have to go decide what to take, see you all later, Peggy

Hi Everybody
Went out with my friend this morning and it was over cast and damp and dreary out, and as the day progressed it only got worse. :(
Real "wet" snow is still falling outside, but fortunately it is not too cold yet. Once again we can't see our grass.........but hopefully it will melt.

I made a feeble start on my Christmas shopping. I thought if I saw some really nice outfit I would treat myself...........but
ALAS nothing caught my eye. :(
I bought my daughter in-law a really cute little purse to take with her when she golfs. It's a black fabric type that matches the black in the golf bag that we gave her last year and it has a "gold" brooch type thing on it of a golf bag with clubs in it. The little purse has several different compartments, so I hope she will think it's nice. I like to get her some extra little things at Christmas to put in with her "main present". The only thing is, this year I have no idea what to buy for her or for our son. YIKES!!

Well even with the bad weather I had a lovely day with my friend. Wednesday's always go too quickly.

Night all.

Glenda: I bet you are gonna be so happy to get those wires out of your toes!
Yes it is sad about Halloween. Your lucky you still get so many!

Karen: So happy your friend is ok! Thats great news!

Trudy: Congrats on your loss! Yep still working hard and they are changing my hours. ALAS.......... I have to go in at 8:00 now instead of 7. Love the early hours . Oh well :(

Maria: The Melbourne Cup Race sounds so fun! I checked out the site you posted and some of those hats a great! Course some looked liked they were a little much to! Bet it was fun to see!

Ann: Your cruise sounds wonderful! Need someone to carry bags? :) Would be great if you ran into Karens friends!

Peggy: Oh oh....Dont tell Slavika that, then her DH would do the cruise instead of Hawaii. That would make her very sad! So dont tell her DH.

Slavika: Good for you losing to! You will be ready for Hawaii. I started some of my Christmas shopping to. Got the stocking stuffers out of the way for now. Gonna to go buy some more this weekend. You know me I hate to go to stores after Thanksgiving. Just cant do it :nono: not me.

Have a great night all!

......In Cyber-space...that is where my last night post ended up.. so I just went to bed. I don't think I will be able to come up with that brilliant post again - why is it all the good ones get lost.... and where do they go?? :?:

Maria I am not a good role model for anyone. DO NOT do things the way I do :nono: . I kept my weight pretty good until after my Sept 4 WI...then I went crazy until I had to WI on Oct 29. I knew it was going to be a nail biter, so I weighed my clothes. The "outfit" I got onto the scale with was a pair of lycra work out shorts and a flimsy silk blouse....no socks or jewellery. I was .2 lbs under my limit...which was 1.8 lbs over goal. I tried to get to WW early so no one would see me, but alas I didn't fool anyone. In that 2 month period I gained 5 lbs. Nothing to be proud of.
Lily... I am just getting up at 8:00am... what time did you get up for starting at 7:00am? You are an early bird.
Slavika .. there isn't much to choose from when it comes to comfortable, all occasion clothes. Our life styles are so casual. Most of the clothes are dressy and for really young bodies.

On Tue night my DH and I watched "Hannibal".... what a grizzly movie. I still get images of it, and my body just gets shivers. I spent most of the time with my head under a blanket and my fingers in my ears. That movie went over the top. I know that someone else on this board saw it when it came out. I don't think I will ever forget the scene with Ray Liotta. Just awful.
We also saw Chocolat and that movie was really good. My DD borrowed me the book and it was really good too, kind of different from the movie. Slavika borrowed both movies to us, of course she didn't watch Hannibal yet.... I think she was waiting for my reaction to it.... all I can say is DON'T WATCH IT ALONE!

Hope everyone is having a nice day...

G'day all,

I am feeling very flat the last couple of days. Visitors have gone, I walked part of the way with DH to work yesterday morning which seemed OK but my feet are very sore and I am just feeling exhausted despite having slept well the last 2 nights:(

I think I might have just overdone it whilst the visitors were here and now my body and feet need to catch up. DH suggested I get some vitamin supplement. Do any of you take any type of vitamin supplements and if so what?

Trudy You are still doing very well with your weight. That is another thing that is getting me down, I am trying VERY hard with very little result. DD keeps telling me that I am not putting any on, and I guess that is true.
'Chocolat' was written by an Australian Author, just a bit of trivia for you :D Hannibal doesn't sound like something I would enjoy.

Lily Yesterday was 'ladies day' at the races and the crowd was even bigger than the day we went. I agree a lot of hats are a bit over the top but there are also some quite beautiful hats and many stunning outfits.:)

Slavika it does sound so cold and miserable at your end of the world. My cousin found it very strange to see christmas decorations etc in the shops when it is hot outside:D :D

I am going to treat myself to a nice bath. Tonight dh and I are going to a concert of the 'Australian Pop Orchestra'.
Should be fun.

Keep well all
Cheers

Hi Everybody LOL :D I have my friend at the lake read a book first to see if "she" likes it then I read it. I'm on to something good, passing movies over to Trudy first, to see if they are any good, then I watch them. I don't know about "Hannibal", I might have to watch that one with a blindfold. :D I actually like kind of weird shows, like "X-Files", but I don't know about this movie. Trudy said to watch it with someone else, she said, "there's safety in numbers". LOL :D
I bought the first book in the "Left Behind" series and had my friend at the lake read it first, and she loved it, and got all the rest of them, read them over the summer and has passed them over to me. WELL..............that was about 2 months ago and I am barely into the first book. I think it's probably a book that you have to really sit down and read for an hour or so at a time, not 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there. I can't say that it grabbed my attention but I also have not really given it chance. Maybe if I don't find time to read them now I will take a couple with me when we go to Maui. The flights are long and that would keep me occupied. :) My friend's husband read the whole series too, and enjoyed them.
I enjoyed doing my "little craft" thingme for "you know who" so much I've decided to do a few more, so that is what I am doing in my spare time. I should give "you know who" something else and then we could work on these thingme's together like we did on the Christmas tree skirts.........no Lily and Karen we have not finished yours yet. :)
Had my hair cut today, I like it. You know those "brushes" the hair stylists use to brush away loose hair on face and neckline, WELL...........that's what hair looks like, a BRUSH, even the same color. :) hee hee
Talk to you all tomorrow. Night.

Maria: The outfits in the pictures were great. I bet it really is something to see. I think it would be so fun to go to! I think maybe you just need to rest for a few days. You arent use to the company and the goings on so Im sure it just tierd you out. Take it easy for a few days and hopefully you will be back to normal. I take supplements but only Vit C and calicum. They woundnt help you being worn out.

Trudy: Dont be to shocked but I get up at 4:30. I do my Threadmill and now because I have time to spare Im doing some of my tapes. I usually do them at night a few days a week. SO everything has now just moved to morning. ALAS. I have always gone to work at 7:00 or earlier all my life and gotten off early so this is a big change for me.

Slavika: Have fun watching Hannibal. I didnt see it and have no desire to. If DH brings it home I will play on the puter. I saw the first one and didnt like it, and I hear this second one is worse. I didnt even watch all of the first one.
It is the second one you and Trudy are watching isnt it?

Later!

Slavika - My advice to you is to skip "Hannibal." It was just too gross to be even real, just had shock value. I had trouble, serious trouble after seeing the Ray Liotta scene. But the Left Behind series of books is pretty good. I have read them all but the new one that is out. They were a bit slow in the middle, but hopefully this one will be exciting.

Maria - You just sound exhausted and that is understandable when you consider all the company you have had. You just need to pamper yourself a bit and rest.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I can't wait until tomorrow because I am going to WW. I am so ready! I have been on a mission to see how much I could gain the last 4 weeks and I am sick, sick, sick of myself.

Hi all: Only one more day and then we leave for our cruise. 9:00a.m. on Sunday. There is still so much to do, deliver the dog to the sitter, get our bags packed, and of course laundry to do before that. And tomorrow we are having a Fair/flea market at our clubhouse, and have to be there at 7:00a.m. Being Social Club chair has some responsibilites I could do without.

Glenda: It wouldn't be hard for me to gain and quickly too. I am really going to have to be careful on this trip. I have determined that I am going to walk around the exercise deck 1/2 hour every day. I read the last of the Left Behind series. Desecration. It moves fast, and so many different things happening at the same time, but it is a real cilff-hanger ending. I think you will like it.

Lily: You sound like a morning person. Not me. I dislike haveing to get up early in the morning. But I like to stay up at night. But I can't do it any more, like I used to. I'd rather do my exercise at night, but can't go walking around in the dark.

Maria: HOpe you get rested up after all your company. Your feet weren't used to all the work. They have been resting and healing for a long time.

Karen: Will check in tomorrow to see if your friends are going to be sailing with us. I would really try to look them up, if I knew their last names too. First names only, would be hard, but I'll try.

Hi Peggy, Slavika, Trudy, anyone else I've missed. One last check in tomorrow. then I won't be around for a week. :D Ann

G'day all,

I am starting to feel a bit better:)
As you know this weight loss thing is getting me down especially as I cannot do any excercise.
I have now hired an excercise bike which is arriving on tuesday. I have hired it for the remainder of our time here in Melbourne before returning to Adelaide on January 17.
I don't particular like excercise bikes but feel I HAVE to do something. By having the bike, the fact that I cannot walk any distance won't bother me quite so much.

Ann wishing you a fantastic holiday, it sounds superb. Look forward to hearing how it was.

Glenda by now I quess you have been to WW, hope it went well. By the way how is the non-smoking going? I hope you are still on track.

Another positive, I am just leaping ahead playing canasta on-line:D :D

We had morning tea with DD this morning. She asked if we could have 'an open house' the day after the wedding at my home in Adelaide. So I will need to think of what to do for that.
Today 10 weeks to the wedding, time is just flying.

Have a great weekend all
Cheers

Ann, Have a great cruise. Have fun and don't eat anything that I wouldn't. Actually I am a morning person and never made it to a midnight buffet but once. Have fun shopping. You could get us all a little trinket like some jewelry or something. You'll have to find a way to post a picture for us to see. Maria you are starting to countdown to the wedding. It will be here before you know it. Happy peddaling on the bike. Slavika now I am curious about the thing that you are creating for you know who. I don't think I would watch Hannibal either. I like the old singing and dancing movies that they don't make anymore. Gene Kelly, Doris Day, Fred Astaire. Lily now that you go in later I guess that you work an hour later. I would rather start earlier too. I am going to put my jammies on and read. I had a craft show today and I am tired. See you all later, Peggy

Hi Everybody
DH and I went out shopping today for a artificial Christmas Tree. I always put up a real one but now I am thinking maybe I'd like to just get an artificial one. It's always so cold when we go out for our real tree, then you put it up and have to wait for it to thaw, you get pine needles from one end of the house to other. :( BUT when I put all my decorations on, it seems well worth the effort and it smells nice. :) Well we saw a lot, but we didn't buy one yet. I needed time to think about it. Some come with little mini lights already attached (boy that sure would be a help). We'll see.:dizzy:
Maria What kind of "open house" would you like to have after the wedding? I had the
rehearsal party at my place. Our kids left early the morning after the wedding for their honeymoon so there wasn't anything really organized for the day after. We had some company who were from out of town but that was it. For the rehearsal party I had a buffet set up. Mostly cold things but a few hot ones too. I made several desserts and a couple of bowls of punch. It was almost 12 years ago and I can hardly remember it. :)
Ann only one more sleep....:D
I hope you have a great holiday. You can tell us all about it when you return.
Glenda how did WW go? I wasn't too excited about going back after a summer of "eating" but it's good to be "sort" of in control again. Good luck. :)
Talk to you all tomorrow. Night all.

All packed and ready to go. Had to pack my dh suitcase too. He is bad at folding stuff. He lays it out, I fold it up. See you all in a week.
Karen: sorry that we are sailing oin different ships. It would have been fun meeting your friends.
Thanks for all the good wishes. I plan to really have some

G'day all,

Ann must now be on her way, good for her!

Slavika good luck with the purchase of a christmas tree. You sound like me, weighing up all the pros and cons before the purchase. My dh gets annoyed that I just don't make up my mind instantly:D A bit of research never goes astray.
For the 'open house' after the wedding, I intend to do exactly or similar what you did. Many guests will be coming from Melbourne and Sydney, which is quite an expense, so this will be just informal and not costly for the guests. As it is likely to be very hot, I thought of ordering some bar-b-que chickens. I can make the salads and make a HUGE fruitsalad for desert. I am getting a bit worried about it as we will be coming home with all our gear, dd and fiancee with theirs and my son and partner's stuff is at our house as well:?: We bought this house as our retirement home and it is not overly big, alas there is nothing I can do about it so I will just have to go with the flow. I find it very difficult to live in an untidy and unorganised house:(

Peggy How did the craft fair go? I thought you only went once in a while but by the sounds you go quite regular, must keep you busy.:)

Just across the road is the Melbourne War Memorial where there was a service at 11 o'clock, we wandered over and saw all the dignitaries arrive and the wreath laying. It was quite moving.
We had our elections here yesterday and so the press were very keen to interview the various politicians after the service. What an awful job trying to obtain these interviews, everyone was pushing and shoving microphones and cameras, then a car with a VIP ran over camera equipment of one of the TV stations:dizzy:

This afternoon we will go to the movies and see the Australian movie 'Lantana'.

Cheers for now
Maria
