Sugar Shakers - What is Sugar Busters?

Hello Y'all ~ I've been reading some of your posts here and I've heard of Sugar Busters and of people losing weight with that WOE but I am a little slow here :rolleyes: and really cannot figure out what the heck this WOE is. Can someone direct me to a site or a particular thread here where I can see if it's the way for me?

Morning Zoe, and WELCOME TO THE SB BOARDS!

Sugar Busters is a WOE (way of eating) that focuses on eating low-glycemic foods. It is NOT a low-carb diet, a myth many people think (they think it's similar to Atkins, it is not). We view it as a WOE vs a diet because you can live eating like this the rest of your life, there would be no reason you'd need to go off of it.

I would say to take a look at the site below, it gives an idea about SB by a gal who's been following it for quite a while and gives you a good synopsis of this WOE:

Also, you can get the book at most library's and I also suggest reading Michael Montignac's book, Eat Yourself Slim (where the idea for SB came from originally).

I've been on this WOE for over 19months now and it definitely was the way to go for me, I met my goal in June, 2001 and have since then gone down even more. I haven't cheated since I started, never felt the need to. My chocoholicism has been cured (along with my ice cream and cookie obsessions) and I am no longer an emotional eater. It's just not about the weight loss (74lbs), there's an even bigger picture-or maybe I should say smaller one now:D
