View Full Version : Poll: what three foods...

Poll time! Ok, if you could choose THREE specific foods to be "free" - as in no matter how much you eat of it - there's NO calories, fat, etc...and you wouldn't put on ANY weight EVER by eating them - what would they be?

One Rule: Must be specific: example - you can't say "italian" - you must say specifically lasagna, stuffed shells, etc. you can't say "all chocolate" - you must specify if it's a specific candy bar (snickers, reeses, etc...) or a specific cake (chocolate cake, tiramisu, etc...) same with resteraunts - not just "wendy's" but specifically "wendy's grilled chicken sandwich" (although not necisarily brand specific)
you get the idea.

My three would be:

1. Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
2. Starbucks Frappucinos (with whipped cream)
3. Pesto, Chicken, & Cheese stuffed Calzone (specifically from Eduardo's Pizzaria in Chicago)

This is dangerous :-)

1. Sourdough bread
2. Cream filled, chocolate dipped eclairs
3. Butter (because if butter had no calories, you could reduce the calories of SO many things that butter goes into...frostings, cakes, cookies....)

1. Chocolate - anything chocolate but especially baked goods like cakes, muffins, brownies

2. Butter/Oil - it goes into sooo much.

1) The Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory

2) Stuffed French Toast from IHOP

3) Peanut Butter Toast (unlimited number of slices, mind you)

As a side note, though ... If I ever sat down and consumed these items with the portion sizes they serve them in, I think I would wind up in the ER with intestinal blockage :D !!

Tommy's is disgusting! I never liked their burgers. Of course, I also don't think In-N-Out is anything either. My favorite burgers came from Spoon's (So Cal only I believe), Ruby's (mostly So Cal I believe) and Red Robin. Across the street from my college, we had Spoon's and In-N-Out and my choice was always Spoon's.

In California though, my weakness are taco shops! Carne Asada burritos! I literally gorge myself on mexican food when I visit because mexican food sucks outside of So Cal. I lived in Denver for a couple years, searched and searched for a good mexican place and never really found one. I found a couple that were "ok" but really subpar compared to So Cal. Here in Maryland, it is pretty much the same story. I deal with South American/Mexican fusion but really no good mexican food.

AH~HA! Nelie, I think maybe you are thinking of Marieta's...it is in restaraunt row in S.M. and another one by the back gate of Pendelton and Libby school. Very good too! Too funny, Angie and I usually go out on Friday's but tonight after she got done with her run she says "Well, what about dinner?" I say anythings fine with me but after posting on 3FC I feel like Mexican food. She says, hey since I'm beat tonight and don't want to put on make-up, is it OK to do BRONCO TACO?....humm OH YEA! :carrot: She usually doesn't want to eat there...but will crave the taquitos from time to time!! Lucky day for me. Never had tripas. Have a good week-end, Gary

Pad Thai is soooo yummy! I prefer shrimp though...

EZ~ I LOVE the sawdust festival! I buy the season pass cause it's like $10 and one visit is $7 and I'll go like 3 times a week all summer! All the art galleries are great, my mom loves Kinkade but I like Wyland more.

My daughter is almost 24, but when she was 12 I took her to Laguna Beach for the day for her birthday. We went to Wyland's and she became fascinated with his art. We made a wall in her room look like the beach with sand, shells dolphins etc. A big MEMORY day for us! Have a great week-end, Gary

The most evil part is that is tastes good on everything fried. =( And salads, too.

But bacon and cheese and ranch go so nicely together. XD

No wondering why I'm fat, either.

You girls are hilarious.

Fortunately, I hate ranch dressing with a passion. DH's cousin mixes it with her mashed potatoes.
