100 lb. Club - Are You Committed Today?: Feb 26 to March 4

Good morning, 3FC Friends! Hope you had a committed weekend and are ready to stay on-plan this week. What areas are you working on to reach your goals? Please share and lets be accountable and committed together!

I am exactly 1 pound from my 10lb goal for February, so I am very committed today! My goal for today is to drink 64oz of water and to get 60 minutes on the treadmill.

I'm committed today to get back on track, yesterday wasn't so good. I'm also going to the gym and I think it's time to step up my work out -- we'll see what I'll be doing extra when I get there :)

I'm committed to my eliptical walk everyday, adding WATP at least 3 times this week, staying within my calorie limit, and NOT weighing myself until Friday!

I'm back on track today. The weekend was bad.. I was literally snowed in and ate way too much of anything and everything. This week I am starting out 4 pounds heavier than last.. as I gained back some of my lose.

I need to work on my meal plans. Tonight I will cook some meals for the next couple days. I am also going to step up the workout. I am not getting enough movement.

Oh YEAH, I am committed!!! Tonight is dinner at the ultimate saboteur's home. (MIL) She has already hounded me about what to fix that "I" can eat. I told her to fix whatever she wants to. (if I tell her what to fix, she will complain about it wasn't REALLY what she wanted to fix, but she did it for me.) I plan on having a nice big salad here before we go, and will just eat a small amount of whatever she has there. I am NOT looking forward to this, but I WILL stay on plan, you can count on that.:rollpin:

I am committed this week to get all my water in each day and to continue to watch my sodium intake. I had a great loss this week and don't want it to come back on, so I am ready to fight for it. Yea doing the Rocky dance here! Good luck everyone!

I am committed this week to finally weigh myself (it's been forever because I'm scared to see how much weight I've gained after losing so much), to excercise for at *least* 45 mins daily, to not eat past 8:00 pm and to not indulge in food that wouldn't benefit me past tasting oh so yummy - keepin' it healthy. :D

Hey ladies! I'm committed to staying on track all week.

I want to:

Exercise at least 5 times this week
Drink at least 80 oz of water per day
Stay on plan all week (except Friday evening - I am allowing myself a pass to attend an annual dinner function - happens to be my birthday as well!!!)

I'm committed to follow my plan because It makes me feel great!! Also to go to the gym five days this week, because I have time for a change. And, to stick to my Lent challenge of no junk food, because the cake I slipped on yesterday didn't taste that good anyway:D

Okay - my commitement for Tuesday is.... to get to Curves, watch my sodium and eat at least 3 fruits..... I am doing really good on the veggies but the fruits need a little boost. Oh and I need to increase my water intake.

Hi all, I'm new to the site but I am committed to remaining on track this week. For me that means providing my food--not relying on fast food restaurants. I cooked this evening for three nights. Breakfast is planned for the week and lunches are packed for three days. I may not be able to put every variety into each week but I can feed myself in a healthy way. I am also committed to using my 1 mile WATP cd at least 5 times this week. :carrot:

Hi Everyone! So glad to see so many committed friends!

My committment today: I will drink the water today! My goal is 64 oz today. Had my glass right by my side yesterday, but forgot all about it. I really want the benefits that a lot of my 3FC friends have experienced by drinking a good amount of water each day. So, I'll keep trying until I get it right!

Good morning ladies! I survived the dinner at MIL's last night. She fixed a beef casserole (with DUMPLINGS) there were peas in the casserole - that was the ONLY vegetable she made. The "salad" she served was full fat cottage cheese with canned in heavy syrup pineapple. Bisuits (of course with real butter) and then dessert was a homemade pie.:mad: I KNEW that is how it would be though, so I was ready.:D

I did have a small serving of the cottage cheese and one slice of pineapple. One dumpling, and a small serving of the casserole. NO bisquits and NO dessert (I had taken some of my chocolate with me, and I just said I would enjoy that while they ate their pie!) SO - I survived and didn't have any problems at all.

The hilarious thing is that she tried to send the pie home with us, we said NO. she then said well, I will just throw it away then. DH said, ok, I'll take one piece home for me. She was cutting his piece, and it accidentally fell RIGHT INTO THE TRASHCAN!! (she never would've thrown it away - I just thought that was toooo funny - it ended up in the trash anyway!);)

SO Today - I am starting out with a GREAT day attitude!! I will DO this!!! I KNOW I can - I have survived restaurants, and my MIL's now!

Im sorry to hear some people struggled over the weekend, but it was nice to know I wasn't alone.

My goal this week is to make myself a more definitive plan, and to drink 4 cups of water/day.

I went to fitday for the first time in a long time and it is a really neat site. So my additional goal is to do my food journal there rather then in a notebook as I have been doing. Best of all it is free!!

Hi all. I've been reading through your threads and I hope you don't mind me jumping in as I'm usually on another board here.

But, I'm committed today because I am re-committing!

I've been doing really well on my program, but this past weekend I was just tired. I was tired of being so strict, tired of saying no to everything, tired of this weight coming off so slowly (even if it's really not). Just tired. Even with going off of my plan, it really wasn't that off. No binging or anything, so that tells me that I've definitely learned something. But I got my butt back into gear yesterday and have had a day and a half of being POP.

I am hoping to hit the 100lb mark by my anniversary 7/14.

Well, I've stayed committed today, even exercised even though I really wasn't feeling it. I've been laying around in bed all day with some really tough cramps. But I did manage to drag myself out and put on a tape. So I'm proud.

WTG Mrs. Q! The pie was just too funny......

Okay - I did not make my goal for the day - but I made up for it with veggies - I am getting pretty good at making 90% of my food intake veggies - maybe this next weigh-in will be better!

My commitment for Wednesday is to keep up with the veggies and increase the water (did pretty good today).

I did make it to Curves today - I was a little sore though.

I think I may make tomorrow my day off -don't know yet.

Good morning! We've reached the midweek point and the end of February. Are you ready for a great committed March? I sure am!

:welcome2: to all of our new posters. So glad you decided to join us and help us all stay motivated.

As of this morning, the scales still havent dropped from Monday. Oh my, have I hit my first plateau?! :eek: I've really pumped up my workouts on the treadmill this week. At some points, I have the incline up to 10% and I really feel it through my backside! And, the scales showed a body fat percentage drop from 51% to 50% this morning. I'm thinking that the scales arent budging because I'm putting on muscle. Muscles in my butt = less jiggle....hmmm, I think I'll take that over a drop on the scales any day! My plan for March is to finally start the weight training. I know this will seriously alter the movement of the scales. I have to wrap my brain around this and go for the goal....major inches lost for March!

My committment for today: Did a bit better on the water yesterday. Managed to drink approximately 56 oz. So, I will keep with this committment to make the new healthy habit of drinking at least 64 oz a day.

Will you do weight training at home or will you go somewhere? I've been thinking of getting a couple of light free weights for some upper body training. I think the elliptical will work to define the lower regions. I just know so little about it all. I really don't want to invest in a gym membership at this point. Knowing me like I do I know that I do much better when I don't have to leave to work out.

My commitment for today is to continue as usual....AND to stay away from the scales! This is tough. I haven't been on them since Sunday morning. I'm HOPING for a change on Friday!!!

I've gained 2.5 lbs. It is a direct result of the weekend and beginning of this week. So my goals for today are
1. Organize my three ring binder.
2. Journal my foods on fitday.
3. Start an excuse journal. I make WAY to many of them. When I find myself making an excuse, I am going to stop, write it down, journal all of my emotions around it at that moment. Then write myself a response about why I need to make a smarter choice.

My Goal for march is to reach 275 by the 31st. My wt today is 286.5.

Okay - my commitment for Thursday is WATER - - - - I need to do more...

I did make today my off-day, so tomorrow - to Curves I go....

My eating was pretty good today, although I did have a controlled cheat tonight :o - nothing like what I have done in the past - - I just really wanted something and I was not taking no for an answer.... :(
So - tomorrow I will pay for it, I just got tired of saying no, I really wanted that candybar.........

Will you do weight training at home or will you go somewhere?

I usually go to the 'Y' for lunch and do the treadmill for 60 mins. They have the weight machines and free weights there, so I'll probably start the weight training after my walk. I have worked out at home in the past and saw good results. I liked using the stretch bands and the balancing ball.

Well, tonight is my first swimming class. I posted on the February's NSV thread that I went to observe the class on Thursday and decided to sign up. I know how to swim, but this class teaches all of the swim styles and how to build up endurance. I'm so excited! I'm hoping the inches just melt off of me!

My committment for today: That doggone water! I'm still working on it....today I'll drink 80 oz.

Committed here!! Keep on keepin' on, 'cuz it is working GREAT!!! I will have to make a point to get my water in this weekend - I'll carry several bottles on my ATV to make sure I stay hydrated. I have no trouble at all here at home, but when we are riding it is more difficult (NO restrooms!:o )

Hey girls! It's almost FRIDAY! YEAH!

I'm doing pretty well this week. Need to exercise today to get March off on the right foot. Doesn't look like I'll make my birthday goal, and that's OK. It was a little aggresive now that I think about it. I was calculating my starting weight as of Jan. 1st, but I didn't TRULY commit until Jan 22, and I weighed 314 then. Oh well, my summer goal is still on track.

Went to swim class yesterday. I went into more detail on the NSV site, so I'll keep it brief. I have a loooong way to go, but I'm determined! I'll be there for my next class...and the next...and the next..and so on! Didnt do too well on my plan yesterday as I missed dinner last night. Missing meals is a big no-no on my Southbeach plan. And, didnt get my water in....unless I can count the pool water? :D

My committment for today: I'm going for the water goal again. 80oz.

I think your plan to handle this is terrific. Also drink plenty of water on your way to her house. I am having dinner with a friend, her birthday. She picked the res taurant and I have been rehearsing my order since I woke up this morning. If I don't look at the menu, drink my water and give my order for memory I'm going to be okay.

One day at a time. I'm having a terrible time with exercise. It's been colder outside and I have trouble making myself go out there. I went to shoot some hoops with my son (age 10). He is my helper with getting exercise. (He doesn't have the preteen attitude that my 12 year old daughter has! ha!) But we're supposed to warm up and the excuses have to go away. I do have a coat!!!

I'm here enjoying my lap! See post from earlier today for a laugh at how a 55-year-old can find her lap after THIRTY YEARS!:dizzy:

Anyway, I am hoping that within the next week, maybe sooner(!) I will be able after TWENTY YEARS to say, "Buh-Bye!" to the 200s! I am COMMITTED to getting there and NEVER revisiting TWOville EVER again! :nono:

I will check by this thread often now that I found it and will be looking for all the great committments from everyone!

Rhonda, thank you! I'll go check out your post in the NSV thread about the swim class. Hope it went well!

I am on track so far today, even with treats all around. We had a Chinese New Year celebration, with a bunch of chinese food around for lunch. But I stayed on track, choosing chicken and a variety of veggies. (I did have a small spring roll though). But I feel great. I won't get any exercise in. Wait, maybe I will. I will try to go for a walk on my next break. That should be good, just to keep the momentum going.

This weekend I am committing to exericising Saturday and Sunday, and staying on track with food and water.

Hi everyone!

It's been a RUSHED past few days and it caught up with me Thursday, I fell asleep at 7 p.m. and did not wake up till it was time to go to work. In fact,I woke up Friday morning thinking about the fact that I did not post.

So - yesterday I did pretty well - there was no power at work and our building is soooo dark (not many windows at all) but we stayed for a few hours and then were released. Anyways - I was able to go very early to Curves and do two full circuits and part of another.

Okay - so my commitment for today is - - - - to go to Curves and if the weather permits (IT IS SUPPOSED TO) get out do some more yard work and eat on plan..... and drink my water.

Diane - Have you considered using any workout DVD's when its too cold outside? I can recommend Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds. I use her three mile one when I can't get to the 'Y.'

Today, I have my nephew's birthday party to go to. And, I plan on having a tiny piece of birthday cake, therefore, I will have to make sure I am 100% on plan for the rest of the day. So, today's committment - stay on-plan.

I went and signed up for the free one - - - put in a few things - -- it is kind of neat......

I really really like that it tells you how many calories you are burning and how many you are taking in.... talk about sooo cool!!!

I just want to wrap up this week, and I'm happy to report that I met my commitments!!! I drank all of my water, and more importantly, I got in 5 days of exercise! That's a first. :) Looking forward to next week :)
